Anyone local into Marvel Champions or interested in learning to play?
I'd love to meet up with 1-2 others and play sometime.
For those that don't know, Marvel Champions is a co-op LCG where players select Marvel heroes and work together to defeat Marvel villians in card-based play. It can be played as individual scenarios or longer form campaigns.
Looking to do some work around the holiday season.
I work online mainly, I have a license in office 365, have a background in office work aka bookkeeping, scheduling, office notes, etc.
For any college students struggling with last minute work I can also help with that. I'm great at making study guides and research packets. No one wants to have to do last minute assignments during the holidays.
Please feel free to message me if interested or have any questions!
What is up with the traffic in Ocala? I just made a road trip down there and was stuck in traffic for three and a half hours just in Ocala alone, not counting Gainesville etc. In addition, 2 out of the three times I've gone through Ocala on a trip I've spent at least an hour in traffic. It's easily worse than the traffic in Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, and Savannah as far as total amount of time spent stuck, so what's the deal? Ocala only has, what, 70000 people? Why is it that this little city is such a monkey wrench for road trips?
My employees moving into town building a new facility, and was thinking about transferring down for a better role/promotion.
I currently live in Lee county
I searched “Rucking” in this sub and the initial post was from 6 years ago and the latest comment was from 2 years ago. With the growth of this activity recently, and seeing a rucking team at the Turkey Trot a few days ago, I’m wondering if anyone knows of any specific rucking groups or how I can learn about local events.
Thanks.
In Ocala searching for jobs, applied to 5-6 on the city website over the past month never heard anything back. Anyone know good employment opportunities in Ocala?
Any games lower stakes than local rooms. Hate the rake and am hurt after 2 bullets. Want a smaller home game
Howdy. Just a Gainesville neighbor looking to do date night in Ocala. Saturday night most likely. I'm 30M for context.
Weird addition; but are there accessible grave yards at night?
I’m looking to buy a home in Ocala or silver springs area. I’ve seen some people saying there are no good homes for less than 200k, but there seem to be many new builds available in the 200-250k range as far as I can see. I’ve done some research, they aren’t HOA’s, and they seem to be nice albeit cookie cutter modern style homes. Big thing for me is, I’m alone, and don’t want a project house. So they seem perfect for me.
As far as the city itself goes, I’m not expecting anything special. My dad lives in Williston so it’ll be nice to be near him for the remainder of his life. I don’t care about the school systems etc or nightlife. I’ll make friends somehow and find my own way in those regards. My main questions were about the housing. Thanks for any info.
A client just canceled a family shoot at Sholom Park. It was for this Saturday at 3pm. If anyone wants that slot, it’ll be at a discount. Dm me.
And if so where’s the best music
Anybody got any advice/stories/product tips/camping spots to share?
“Ocala fire engines and EMT’s stalking my car by GPS every day 24/7”
For those of you who moved into new builds, how did you get your address added to maps and recognized by mail services?
Can anyone recommend a good HVAC service and repair company here in Ocala? The company I've been using for over ten years has gone flakey. Thank you!
About a week ago we were woken up at approximately 6am by a rooster. Every 10 minutes he would proudly crow to our dismay. This is normally a quiet residential neighborhood just within city limits. It took a couple of days but I found it’s coming from our neighbors house, directly next door. They have one single rooster in a dog crate. My neighbors do not speak a word of English. Any idea why they would have one single rooster in a cage? I didn’t think roosters really got eaten? Is this cock fighting? Is that a thing in this area?
I wanted to go with straight talk or Verizon but they don’t cover my area. It’s looking like I might have to get fiber optic and a WiFi converter but I rather get a cheap 5g option. Unfortunately none of them covers the area I’m in which makes no sense
Has anyone ventured out to light up Ocala? I’m curious about the crowd sizes. I kind of want to go out, but the warmth of my bed is making it tough decision.
Does anyone know the type of car wash where i could just pull up and wash the car myself with provided soap where i could spray foam my car then rinse? Not those drive thru car wash like mr clean.
Please let me know.
Thanks!
I wanted to know if anyone has been to the John 3:16 and 17 boxing club and how they felt about it and which is better then or the Ocala Boxing Academy
I’m trying to find the name of a popup stand that sold skin care/ body products between 2018 and 2019 at the paddock mall. The lady running the stand was Asian if that helps
After moving here for almost a year now, I just recently watched The Red One on epic theathers.
Now I have yet to give Regal cinemas a try maybe next month.
For you who have been here for a while, which cinema do you prefer?
Epic or Regal?
Please let me know pros and cons to each one.
Will be in front of the parking lot of the old Winn-Dixie at 184 Marion Oaks Blvd, Ocala FL 34473 today from 12 noon to 2pm (or sold out) with freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies, brownies and brookies. In fact, the brownies and brookies are still cooling! Hope to see some folks there!
UPDATE: I am calling it a day and have a lot of everything left. If anyone in, near, or willing to drive to Marion Oaks would be interested in FREE, full-size samples, DM me and and we can meet at a time that works for both of us. Doesn’t even have to be today. All I would ask for in return is a quick testimonial to publish to my website to help build my reputation.
Good morning beautiful people of Ocala. I am looking for a food truck, ideally a Mexican truck, that has breakfast and lunch offerings.
A little about the gig: Equestrian event 2 weeks in December and then again from Jan 1 - March with weekly shows.
We are one of the larger events spaces in the area and see between 700-1200 horses weekly during our shows.
December events - 4% to cover electricity and water (this is negotiable). Only food vendor on site. Jan - March - 8%, food hall setup with 3 additional vendors in a covered area Commitment would be at minimum wednesday-sunday weekly, 7am until end of show day (usually around 4pm)
If you are interested please hit me up and let's talk.

Hello, I'm kind of posting this as a last resort. I'm urgently looking for a place to hook up my camper for a few weeks until we're able to get into an RV park. It would be my husband, me, and our 3 children. We can provide work on/around your property and contribution to electric and water. My husband has experience in landscaping, hardscaping, and farm work. I have experience house cleaning and culinary.
If anyone is willing to help out or point in the direction of someone who can, it would be greatly appreciated.
