Have you ever created a character just for the fun of it? Have you ever created one, but didn't know where to keep it? If you answered yes to either of those questions, then this is the subreddit for you.

This subreddit is all about displaying, or showing off, an original character that you've created.

OCP Wiki

RULES

1. Critiquing is optional. There will be flairs where you can specifically ask for critiquing, you can say you don't mind but it isn't entirely necessary, or that you'd like to avoid being critiqued.

1.5. Don't be rude. Critiquing is going to friendly and constructive criticism. There's no reason to call anyone names or say their character is stupid/dumb/retarded. Tell them you think there's something wrong and explain what. Be nice.

2. Make your character original. You may create your own character from scratch or use an already existing character as inspiration. You may not claim a character that is owned by a company or someone else on the internet is yours. Fishy posts will be checked.

3. Drawings/pictures are welcome. If you draw your own character and want to upload, go for it! You can even ask other users to draw it for you, or head to other subreddits to request. Please mark it, though, if the character is NSFW. It is there for a reason.

4. Don't downvote. There's no reason. As stated in 1.5, if you don't like something, state what and explain why. Upvote if you like a character, leave it alone or say something if you don't.

Same with comments; do not downvote them. Reply why you disagree with what they said.

5. Have fun. Anyone caught not having fun is in deep trouble.

An interesting OC (spider verse)

I dont yet know if anybody has thought of this but I just came up with a very silly Spider-man OC.

So its earth 420 and Peter Parker is litteraly a junkie who is very addicted after the death of Uncle Ben.

Then you know the rest, he somehow gets britten by that radioactive spider and become the Spider-man. He tackles being an addicted/depressed junkie who cant get a job with being the loved superhero Spider-man.

Need ideas for strange but realistic things an OC could do

Florian is almost 48 with a 21yo son named Luka. He has an undiagnosed mental problem and he’s very friendly and talkative. He enjoys doing strange things because he finds it’s funny and exciting.

[Sorry for the lack of details]

So far I got:

-Florian lost his ID so he brought his mugshot instead of getting another one

-Shiloh loved to work at 7/11 and will only work there, no where else

-Florian once went on Instagram and saw someone had made an oil painting of his living room

-Florian wasn’t able to pay for his senior years photos so all he has is the sample ones

-Florian used to get thrown out of fancy hotels on purpose

-Florian would take Luka ground scoring when he was little at music festivals, town centers and raves.

Anything else like this? I’m looking for strange but realistic things that could happen in real life. Any and all ideas are appreciated 100%!

Unnamed universe history part 1. Tell me what you think please!

I don't really have names for much so sorry for that. Anyway just gonna define a few terms and hopefully give an idea of the world.

The history: In the early ages when men were ruled by gods and demi gods there was one such god-king that was especially powerful and kind. She used her immense power to end death, hunger, disease, and pretty much every other problem. This angered the god of death (who I will refer to as death).

The two gods fought for centuries. Eventually the god-king gained the upper hand but couldn't find it in her heart to completely erase death from existence. This hesitation gave death the chance to deal a finishing blow to the god-king.

Humanity's witches managed to keep some of the god-king's essence alive. The essence lives in humanity while it recuperates. Some good hearted people have a special link to the god-king allowing them to have superhuman abilities. These people are known as heroes. However none of the humans alive at this time became heroes (or at least found out they were heroes) due to the influence of death during the war. However the first baby born after the war became debatably the greatest hero ever. Gilgamesh.

During the early years of Gilgamesh's life humanity was in danger. Beasts ran wild through human settlements destroying everything in sight. The witches weren't enough to protect everyone. The witches grew corrupt And demanded payment for protection from the beasts.

By the age of ten Gilgamesh had grown stronger than any man in history. He killed beasts and invented weapons to help humanity help itself.

A short list of his feats at or before age ten:

Invented weapons most notably various catapults.

Learned to grow crops without magic

Invented several musical instruments.

Drove out the corrupt witch that ruled his village.

Killed enough beasts to keep the village fed

Discovered that cooking food makes it good to eat without relying on magical purification.

Tamed several beasts.

Tested all food on himself to see if it's safe to eat. A normal man would have died thousands of times over.

Invented armor.

Invented the first Martial arts type things involving weapons.

That's all for this post. Tell me what you think especially if I should keep names from myth and ancient history like Gilgamesh or put in something original.

Meathead

Everyone seems to be posting their OCs for WWWverse on the workshop but I feel like they'd fit much better here. So anyway here's mine.

Birth Name: Silas Lechetell

Alias: Meathead

Age: 19

Height: Between 5' 9" (1.8 m) and 6' 6" (2 m)

Weight: Between 500 lbs (227 kg) and 1 ton (907 kg)

Skin: Caucasian

Hair: Dirty blonde

Eyes: Green

Biography: Silas was a young american child until the white event. Silas became a 'super' at the age of 5, gaining powers similar to his father's (Maurice Lechetell), regeneration along with a few secondary powers. From then on his father, a GMRF agent, had pushed Silas towards a similar career in the agency, encouraging the boy and training him. After an unfortunate incident during a mission rendered Maurice unfit for duty Silas grew disillusioned with the GMRF and now works as an independent vigilante.

Powers: Silas's has regeneration capable of healing even very severe wounds very quickly. Whatever part of the body that is regenerated is grown back stronger as well. This even applies to very small injuries, such as the tearing of muscle fibers during strenuous exercise, resulting in 'Meathead' growing stronger over the course of a fight.

Silas's biology also appears to slowly condense his skin and muscle after new muscle is grown, returning him to the same notably scrawny appearance even after massive muscular growth. Some of the growth is kept as strength and weight, suggesting it is still in there somewhere, but much of it is also lost. See here for a visual representation of his growth throughout a prolonged fight.

In addition, he doesn't suffer any sort of fatigue as a side effect of his regeneration. Although he has remarked that he does sometimes get extremely hungry after a fight. Likely due to replacing so much biomass.

Strength- At present, Silas is capable of lifting 2.5 tons immediately after his body has finished 'compressing' any muscle growth. However after particularly long and arduous fights he has been known to be capable of lifting 20 tons or occasionally even higher.

Durability- Silas's bones regenerate in the same manner of his muscles, so he is able to take as much as he can dish out and more. Blades too have trouble penetrating his skin, although he doesn't regenerate skin as often as muscle or bone, so an extremely sharp edge can cut him with enough force behind it. But he'd just regenerate it anyway. The exact limits of his regeneration are unknown, although his father was able to recover from a direct wound to the brain.

Speed- Silas can move faster than almost any human due to the power his muscles produce, but his reflexes are nothing outstanding.

Skill- Silas has been trained from a very young age with the original intention of being a GMRF agent, and so has advanced military training in close quarters combat.

Equipment- Silas carries experimental high-tech gravity boots designed to let him walk around without leaving craters in the ground or falling through building floors. They are adjustable so that they work even when close to his upper weight limit. At his lower limits they can be turned up to give him a sort of clumsy flight.

The Legacy Universe

Similar to the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, this universe uses classic novels and other public domain characters as a foundation. However, where the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen focused on the lives of heroes like Allan Quartermain, Captain Nemo and Mina Harker, this universe focuses on their legacies; namely their children, families, and proteges. Following in their ancestor's/teacher's/other's footsteps, these characters hone their skills to an even greater capacity.

Quincy Harker

Quincy was born to the famous victim turned hunter of the evil vampire Dracula, Johnathan Harker, and his wife, Mina. He was named after Jonathan's friend, Quincy Morris, who died in the hunt for Dracula. Mina, too, was a victim; Dracula transfused their blood, ensuring she would die a vampire had Johnathan and the original Quincy not killed him. Dracula's blood was still running through her veins, however, when Quincy was conceived. Due to this, he was born half-vampire, a secret that he's kept from even his parents. His powers got stronger as he aged. He could move incredibly fast, transform into a swarm of bats, and emit a devastating sonic scream. As these powers grew, so too did a vicious set of demonic fangs that surround Quincy's mouth. Adopting a mouth covering kerchief, and brandishing his father's great Kukri knife, still crusted with the unholy blood of Dracula himself, Quincy sets off on a journey across Europe in search of a cure for the vamprism that will eventually consume him.

Thorgil of Helium

The third and youngest child of John Carter, the space-fairing human warrior, and Dejah Thoris, famed Martian princess, Throgil has yet to have embarked on the adventures that her parents and siblings have. Fascinated by Earth culture, Thorgil enjoyed pestering her father with countless questions of his life on Earth, much to his chagrin, instead of perusing more pressing Martian adventures. One day, Thorgil accepted a deal from a shady back-alley merchant in Helium, promising a fulfilling look at Earth culture...the next thing she knew, she was stranded on a French beach, with fuzzy memories of the transaction. Fighting with her trusty set of set of swords (one of which she controls telekinetically) and her unique hybrid biology adept for interplanetary conditions, Throgil sets off to find a way back to her homeworld; and hopefully, a means of return.

Harry Quartermain

Alan Quartermain, world-famous hunter/adventurer, thought for years that his son had died of smallpox in the relief hospital he operated at. What he didn't know were his son's true feelings of contempt for his father, confining Harry to a stuffy hospital instead of allowing him to hunt with his father, forbidding him from adventures of his own. After growing increasingly bitter and cynical, Harry faked his death and illness, running away from his father and making one promise to himself; to survive in Africa. Honing his hunting, tracking, and marksmanship skills over several grueling years spent in every climate from Africa's worst jungle to it's driest savanna, Harry finally left for Europe, with a new deadly set of skills, tribal African weaponry, state-of-the-art firearms, and drive to hunt the most dangerous game for glory and loot.

Cressida Holmes

Mycroft Holmes had never considered himself much of a family man. His...eccentric brother and dedication to his country always got in the way. He never had even the slightest desire to start a family of his own, although the weight of his lineage rested entirely on his shoulders, with women piquing Sherlock's intrest less than discarded cigarette ash. Alas, when a motherless 11 year old girl was brought to his doorstep, some unintended consequence of a long-forgotten outing, he was struck with a pang of sympathy. After losing thirty-seven straight games of Go to her, it was made clear that Cressida was gifted...and definitely a Holmes. Having grown up listing to his long-lost Uncle's exploits, she trained under both his and her father's tutelage, honing her mind and body to seemingly inhuman degrees of perfection. With her mastery of everything from fencing to mind-games, Cressida quickly rose through the ranks of British secret service, emulating the methods of her Uncle, much to her father's annoyance. In these strange and desperate times, it's sure that Britain, and even Europe as a whole, will require Cressida's expertise more than ever.

Krako

Hailing from the same tribe of Mangani apes that the mighty Tarzan had been raised by, Krako was a friend and admirer of the fearless human man. Intrigued by Tarzan's true heritage, and increasingly fed up with his tribe's disapproval of studying humans, did the unthinkable and left his tribe at the tender age of seven. Stowing away on a ship belonging to English researchers, Krako was discovered by the crew halfway home, having already taught himself four words of the awkward human tongue; "Hello", "captain", "starboard" and "damn". Upon arriving in Britain, Krako was passed through the hands of countless professors, universities, and researchers all eager at the chance to study his ape-language. His intelligence continued to blossom, picking up English, Sign Language, and bits and pieces of Gaelic within four years. As his mind grew, so too did his body. Having been fed a scientifically perfected diet and given strategic exercise to increase his mind's productivity, Krako grew well beyond the limits set before by any beetle-foraging Mangani in the past. Soon, Professor "Captain" Krako tours Europe, filling lecture halls nation wide, famous for being Britain's most successful experiment.

Victoria Riptvader

Years ago, an orphan girl in Germany named Victoria was obsessed with the legend of Frankenstein's monster. Dismissed quickly as a myth by the Germans, Victoria was always convinced there was more to the story. She feverishly tracked down lead after lead, all leading to dead ends. But there had to be something; a discarded piece of equipment, manuscripts of the experiment...perhaps even the monster himself. After months upon months of grueling detective work, Victoria's investigation lead her to what was presumed to be the crumbling estate of Victor von Frankenstein himself. No sooner had she entered the haunting, long-abandoned great hall than she awakened in her own grave. Somehow revived in a similar fashion to the monster she'd searched for, Victoria had no memories of her death, or whatever it was that came afterwards. Robbed of her life, her memories, and her humanity with little compensation, save for painless undead strength and a strange ability to channel electricity through her body, Victoria must begin a new search to claim vengeance and demand answers that an empty estate haven't provided.

Godhood Universe

One of the things that has always bugged me about DC is the nature of Kryptonians. When most aliens are physically comparable to humans, you have Kryptonians (and a few aliens with similar strength) who can just punch planets into pebbles. For no reason. Nothing supernatural was involved, they just naturally became essentially gods, and it just makes no sense to me, and it hasn't for a while.

The concept is that actually, the natural state of life is to have the power to crack continents and toss around asteroids like baseballs, but a very long time ago all life in the universe was stunted by 'limiters', space stations all across the universe that sap the energy from the life on most planets, rendering it powerless in comparison.

The Prechronians

The ancient, extinct(?) race that built the limiters. Before the Big Bang the universe had no limiters, and there was widespread catastrophic destruction wrought in the wake of the wars of immature species. The Prechronians were the only race that survived long enough to develop the means to fix the suffering this caused. So they built the limiters and decided that the universe would begin again, and set into motion a chain reaction that would result in the Big Bang (also the limiters survived because reasons).

The Council

The handful of species that have deactivated their limiters. They were some of the first to advance to space travel with technology, but since deactivating their limiters they have grown stagnant. Why invent better forms of space travel when you can fly from star to star only exerting the effort of a light jog?

Millenia ago they formed a pact that for the good of the universe no more species would be allowed to deactivate their limiter. They use their power to act as intergalactic peacekeepers, and view themselves as benevolent super-species, doing what's best for the lower species. The lower species don't see it this way, of course, but in the eyes of the council they just don't understand that it's a necessity.

The Lower Species

Species who didn't develop interstellar travel until the Council decreed that no more limiters would be deactivated. Some species are peaceful and some warlike. The Council does it's best to stop conflicts between them but the races on the Council are forbidden to go to outright war with a Lower Species as part of their pact, as it would be a slaughter. Since the Lower Species vastly outnumber the races on the Council and the Council cannot protect them all all the time, much war still goes on, and the Council can't protect everybody, especially since some species have advanced technologically past the stagnant council and have found ways around them. Physically, however, basically all Lower Species are comparable to Humans. There is obviously some variation but nothing more than an order of magnitude or so relative to body weight.

Humans

Humans are relatively new to the universe, and only control maybe a couple dozen planets, most of which are really just colonies. We're a part of the 'Lower Species', at least, for now.

Valla

I really want to create a new character in the Marvel universe

Personally, I am not a huge fan (just the average casual fan) and I am really interested in the world of Valhalla and would like to explore more of it. I researched a lot of it but it's still not enough content (without reading the comic book itself).

If the average height of an Asgardian is 6' 5", then he's around 5'8 or around there since his height is made fun of from other Asgardians.

I am interested in creating a new character called Valla. Valla is not your typical Asgardian though. His parents are powerful (Heimdall and Amora) which gave him an edge over the typical Asgardians. His powers are the toned down version of Heimdall. He can only see and hear well but not to point of seeing through space and time and hearing things that Heimdall would. He can see what the other people are thinking (sorta like telekinesis) but cannot influence minds. Also he can teleport in short distances and stop time for a short time, where this power came from his mother.

Then to make things interesting, he has a sister, called Sylvie.

So his "legacy" or story is set to revolve around Thor: Ragnarok where Heimdall and Amora tired to keep the brother and sister safe by hiding them. Valla didn't follow his parent's order and left his sister all by herself. He fought with all his powers but his sister was captured. When his parents found out and they were pissed, of course, Heimdall would have seen this coming but was occupied fighting with Thor. When he found out, he sent Valla on a mission, to find his sister.

The story then shows him searching far and wide for his sister, fighting stuff along the way, but found her and her capturer. The plan was simple: To test out the portal to Midgard so Valla and the capturer fought. Blah blah blah, stuff happening and Valla was defeated.

His sister was the first "test" subject to go through the portal where she landed in NY and lost most of her memories. Then Loki gave her powers blah blah blah and she became the Young Avengers. Valla at that point thought that his sister died and his rage to upon him where his power level doubled, which made him able to defeat the capturer.

Valla returned from his quest with bad news for his parents, finds out that Valhalla was different after the Ragnarok. He searched far and wide for his parents but heard news from Thor that his father died and his mother was no where to be found. He was then lost since he has nothing left, no family and nothing but bad memories. Him and Thor established a friendship where Thor thought him and mentored him about his father's role.

When Thor rebuilt Valhalla at Oklahoma, Valla sense that his vision became more and more powerful. He uses his vision to find his father and also sense that his sister was alive. His father then watches over Asgard and talked to Valla about helping Thor search for other gods while he watches over Valhalla.

Valla, during the search for other gods, told Thor that his sister may be alive and he would like to find out where she is. Thor directed him to the Avengers where he met all the members.

Scarlet Witch senses that there was something about him that is a familiar sight. Since I would like to play around with the Amora/Scarlet Witch's hostile relationship, I have to make the relationship between Valla and Scarlet Witch hostile at first.

When Scarlet Witch went inside Valla's mind to help Valla find his sister through telekinesis, Valla is able to block some of the things Scarlet Witch can see. So it's like Scarlet Witch wanted to know things from him but Valla keeps blocking her out. This made Scarlet Witch pissed because she's trying to help him while he's just not accepting her help.

So the two had a fight where it ended with lots of destruction. The rest of the Avengers have to separate the two. More drama happens between the two but ends when Valla finally accepts Scarlet Witch's help.

Scarlet Witch is able to see all his memories (Asgard during Ragnarok and his childhood memories of his sister) and see his dream (Where he wants to settle at a peaceful place with his family and someone he loved). Both of them managed to find out where his sister is.

That's all I've got so far for the story but I have left out a lot of the stuff about the chronological events that is maybe wrong in my story. Anyways, here is my "creation" which I would like to share to this community.

Please give any feedbacks if you want. I really want this character to be big like all Marvel superhero/sidekick.

The Parasitic Assassin Mk1

a 12 (13 later) year old who is a (you guessed it) hitman.

She was exposed to a parasite that took the place of her muscle allowing her to have limits far beyond a normal human.

She was kept on a secret military base where she was trained to be a super soldier. One day she didn't feel like training. They tried to make her so she slaughtered the entire base. This caused the release of several other dangerous people and creatures.

Several upgrades were made by the military including a healing factor as well as reinforced bones and skin

Note that everything I say is what she has done not necessarily her max.

Strength: can lift cars with some effort. Known to toss them around ten feet.

Has punched through stone pillars with slight pain. Her bones don't take impact as well as they do stress.

Speed: known to dodge bullets by sight but only at great distances (snipers)

Can run 1200 mph but from a slow acceleration starting around 250 mph can take as much as 700 in small bursts like dodging. However short bursts tend to hurt her (same reason for slow acceleration)

Accuracy:

With knives: beat a military sniper by using throwing knives.

With a sniper:

With a normal sniper she has been known to outshoot military snipers while texting and doing trick shots.

Her accuracy is the only thing that is her own. Her vision is not augmented though she is on par with someone who does have special vision.

Weaknesses: her eyes are vulnerable and take longer to heal than injuries of a similar size elsewhere on her body.

electricity and magnetism have a great effect on her. (Magnetism is only in theory as she has never received significant damage from magnets)

Durability:

survived lightning (remember greater effect on her). Only survived because of healing factor keeping her alive. Took a month of recovery and physical therapy.

Bullets usually are partially sticking out when they hit her.

Just stood there while a guy with a metal pipe attacked.

Arsenal: various knives and swords as well as a sniper rifle.

Notes:

Bones are reinforced with a metal dust that was absorbed into the bone.

Skin is reinforced by material made from the same kind of parasite that makes up her muscle.

She was taken in by a hitman and they worked together.

Which of these three OCs do you like best?

Hey there, I'm /u/waaaghboss82, an artist over at /r/Collabcomics and I've been thinking about writing my own project in my spare time. I have three superhero ideas bouncing around in my head that I wanted to try, but I'm not sure which one I wanted to do first. If you don't mind I'd like to hear your opinion on which OC you'd rather read a comic about.

Captain Gorilla

The idea came to me from a /r/whowouldwin post. Basically a dictatorial regime in Africa has created an expy of the super soldier serum and intends to use it to create an unstoppable army of them, but during the testing there's a freak accident, a wild gorilla breaks into the secret testing facility and stumbles into the 'enhancement chamber' giving him the absolute peak of gorilla physiology as well as human level intelligence.

Probably going to be mostly a comedy series but it would have it's serious moments (probably).

Name Pending (How does Rustworthy sound?)

Finding his beginning as a crafty young boy growing up in the slums of [insert large city], he's a poor man's Tony Stark, a whiz with machines but without the money to fund a robot suit. He's forced to defend his community from crime and other threats with the gadgets he can build by scavenging from the junkyard and other places.

A series I had planned to deal with some serious issues, but not without a hearty heap of action.

Gladiatress

It's a tale as old as time. Alien pirates steal a powerful ancient artifact, the ultimate weapon, a sword to rule the galaxy, then take it to some backwater planet named Ee-arth to test it out and by mistake the sword permanently binds to an unsuspecting human female. Gladiatress fights all manner of evildoers with a high-tech blade that can transform and grant her all manner of abilities. It's also powered by willpower! Or maybe not. I haven't decided if I want to go full shounen with this one yet.

Well what do you guys think? Would you read one of these series? Or would you need more info on the character's backgrounds before you can really say?

Marat

Marat, this character's real name (he has no alter ego technically), is of the lamia meminimus species, otherwise known as vampire lycans, or vaewolfs.

A little detail on this species:

They normally represent their vampire side more than anything, though they do have traits of a werewolf, such as being stronger and more vicious during a full moon. They have all the strengths of vampires and werewolves, yet none of the weaknesses. Your typical vaewolf can move and react in single digit milliseconds, sometimes shorter, are ~5 tonners, and are naturally quieter than vampires, werewolves, and humans. They are generally peaceful in nature, however, and don't normally attack humans, or anything unless they feel threatened.

Powers/Abilities:

  • Vaewolf physiology

  • Superhuman strength, speed, durability, etc.

  • Extremely skilled in h2h

  • Access to bat and werewolf physiology

Currently boosted by nanite technology.

Marat, when he turned 18 years old, joined a secret military group in the U.S.A. (he's originally from Russia). He undergoes the same nanite procedure as these soldiers.

This boosts him to .5 microseconds movements/reaction times, ~8-10 tons of strength, and extremely skilled in combat; more so than a human with the nanites.

Weapons:

  • Sword made of symbiometallum

  • 2 CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow hand guns

  • Mini sticky bombs

He also wears the suit that comes with the nanite procedure.

Symbiometallum:

Every fictional universe has to have their own made up metal, right? Well, here's mine.

The name likely won't stick, I just threw it together for this post.

The two parts of it are, symbiote and metallum (metal).

The metal is a natural earthly element; woven together very tightly, in a lattice style. It has an extremely high melting point, to be carved and made into weapons, armor, etc. It can melted again after, but each time it is melted, the temperature in which it has to be melted at increases exponentially. The metal is also partially malleable, due to it's nature. When it's made into a weapon, such as a sword or dagger, it can pierce most anything with enough force. If it is made in the form of a shield, it cannot be broken by force, as the more force apply, it will send the kinetic energy back at the sender. It cannot be torn. It should be noted, however, that this metal is somewhat sentient, in that if it is somehow damaged, it will reassemble itself. This does not happen when it is being melted to be made into something, only through some sort of brute force, magic, manipulation, and the like.

Aes

Please note: this character is inspired by my favorite X-Men character, Colossus, and shares similarities to him and another Marvel character, She Hulk.

Powers/Abilities:

  • Organic graphene transformation

  • Vibration infusion

  • Superhuman strength, speed, durability, and endurance

In a similar fashion to She Hulk, Aes' standard human body's strength is proportional to his graphene body. This means the stronger his human body is, the stronger his graphene form is.

He has single digit reaction times. His body can transform into graphene as fast as he can react. He can move/run ~200 mph.

Graphene is "100 times stronger than steel," meaning Aes is basically Colossus x 100. Though for now, without any actual feats, I'll put him at 10,000 tons striking/lifting power. He also does not grow tired.

In his human form, he has peak human physical stats.

The process of his transformation is that everything concerning his physical body is transformed into graphene. This means his outside and inside are equally as durable.

Edit: I forgot to talk about vibration infusion.

Aes can slam his hands/forearms together to create a piercing noise from the vibration of his metal, like an AoE attack. He can manually stop the sound/vibration, but he can also let it ring out for a few seconds.

Edit: TP does not work on Aes in his graphene form, though it will work on him in his human form. He still functions properly, but because his organs change to graphene as well, they can't really be attacked because in that form he doesn't rely on them for anything.

He isn't particularly smart, nor skilled. He's a brawler, heavily relying on his strength.

Also, due to the nature of graphene, he conducts heat and electricity really well, so those two things won't work on him.

I apologize if this is poorly written. I had the idea and needed to write it down somewhere. Critiquing is welcome, however.

Morte Nera, the Black Death

What happens when the demigod daughter of Loki and the demigod son of Laverna have a child? You get the perfect mixture of thief, rogue, and assassin.

Name: known only as Morte Nera, or the Black Death.

Parents: [], daughter of Loki, and [], son of Laverna.

Age: Variable. Born sometime during the Renaissance. In his normal form, he appears to be 30 years old.

Height: variable; 6'0" normally

Weight: variable; 200 pounds normally.

Backstory

During the Renaissance era, at a festival in Rome, the son of Laverna and daughter of Loki were pulled together by mutual attraction; each the child of shadowy, roguish figures, it's little wonder they found each other.

After an affair at the festival, they became a team. They roamed the world, assassinating figureheads and making a personal fortune for themselves through thievery. By the time their child was born, they were living comfortably in what is now Turkey.

However, upon the birth of their child, they started arguing. [], restless, wanted to get back to killing and scheming. However, with their new son, [] wanted to raise him in their ways until he could join. This led to an argument, with [] leaving [] to raise their son herself.

Twenty years later: until this point, Morte Nera had aged normally. He had been taught how to use shadows by his mother, the art of stalking, lying, cheating, stealing, and killing, and he honed some of his powers bestowed by being the child of two demigods, and a descendant of Loki and Laverna.

He became greedy, selfish, and cold. Upon reaching twenty, he abandoned his mother, and set out to build personal wealth, power, and alter history itself.

Powers

Shadows: stepping into a deep shadow, Morte Nera becomes completely invisible and muffled. He can manipulate shadows as well as misdirection to his enemies.

Targeting: Black Death is the ultimate assassin. Upon being given a target, whether he gives it to himself or is given a contract by someone else, he becomes completely aware of the target's physical features, abilities, and feels a pull towards their current location.

Telepathy: He can instill a sense of dread, fear, or uncertainty into any target that he wishes. This is useful in a number of situations; he can make targets suspicious of everyone around them and paranoid, or make them hesitant to hit him because of the feeling of doubt, giving him time to strike first.

Enhanced vision: Black Death can switch between thermal vision, night vision, and an electromagnetic field view, as well of increase his vision to read signs up to a mile away. The electromagnetic field allows him to see wiring in the area as well as the pulse that the human body's electromagnetic field gives off, allowing him to see humans behind walls or on different floors.

Shapeshifting: He can turn into the form of any person or thing that he has killed before, meaning if he doesn't want to infiltrate an area in the traditional means, then he can kill a guard and just stroll in. Shapeshifting gives him the same clothing that the victim was wearing, as well as the same equipment that they have. He can use this to lose pursuers in a crowd by shifting into someone he's killed before.

Physical Capacity

Strength: due to the shadowy nature of his work, Morte Nera doesn't have a high strength threshold (in comparison to other characters). He maxes out at 500 pounds under duress.

Durability: what he lacks in strength he makes up for in other areas. Durability is one of them. His body has a very high threshold for punishment; he can be hit by a semi and be fine. Blunt force trauma has almost no effect on him, but he is susceptible to bladed weapons, if you can hit him.

Reflexes and Speed: he is extremely agile and quick. His time from start to full speed is 1/5 of second, with max speed of around 70mph. He has a reaction time fast enough to catch bullets, which he often does to show off to anyone who happens to shoot at him. This exudes an air of arrogance; while facing smaller threats, such as humans, he tends to have fun with them. If he senses his target is a greater threat, he increases his seriousness to match.

Skill

Training: Black Death was trained by his parents, the children of Laverna and Loki. They trained him in the use of blades, poisons, and hand to hand combat, in a form that they created combining these uses, called the modo dell'assassino, or Way of the Assassin. It combines grappling, striking, knife stabs, slashes, and throws, illusion, and dirty fighting into one style designed to be extremely random, unpredictable, and brutal. It involves kicking to the kneecaps, shins, and genitals, knifing arms and legs to weaken the opponent, kicks to the legs, and making the opponent dread the fight.

The form is a combination of krav maga, dambe, judo, karate, and pankration.

Guns: Black Death shuns bigger weaponry, for their noise and lack of concealment. He will use nothing bigger than a pistol, which he is extremely proficient with; he can land five shots within the diameter of a quarter from 100 yards with his Glock 17.

Knives: Black Death carries a karambit and a balisong for versatility in cutting and slashing. He uses these for quick kills from concealment, not for open combat.

Miscellaneous: Morte Nera is a parkour master. With his enhanced physical capabilities, he can use any part of the environment to his advantage, including people, walls, or other obstacles.

He's very intelligent as well; he's so quick witted that any human will believe what he says, and he can accurately predict what his opponent is going to do 95% of the time. He's studied military strategy throughout his life, has gained access to all of the US Military's scientific findings and studied them extensively, and can come to a quick understanding of any science or math.

He has an immense understanding of human nature and anatomy. He's aware of every pressure point, vital spot, and non vital areas for successful torture. He's a skilled alchemist, and can put together poisons in almost any environment.

He's also extremely rational and won't pick a fight that he's not prepared for. He will retreat when necessary, and isn't afraid of cheap shots, kills from the shadows, or kidnapping and torturing loved ones of his targets.

Verto

I have the power I would like for this character to have, but there are some kinks that need to be worked out. You'll see what I mean as I describe the power.

Powers/Abilities:

  • Transmutation* The following powers branch off of this power.

  • Elemental manipulation

  • Energy manipulation

  • Telekinesis

  • Flight

  • Superhuman physical attributes

Like my other characters, this character has different "parts." He, at first, is limited, then later extends his powers...

At first, Verto is able to transmute any object into an element, the tradition four (water, fire, earth, air).

As an example, you see this table? He can transmute it into water, fire, earth or air. The process goes:

  • table to energy

  • energy to element of choice

The energy is his transmuting powers; he must transmute the object to the energy before he can transmute it to the element. Though the process is extremely quick.

He can also use the energy offensively. So if he doesn't want to change the table into an element, but rather his energy, he can, and he can use it as an attack.

To clarify, his energy is specific to him, and is not traditional energy. If he chooses to leave a transmuted object as his energy, he absorbs it.

The reason I say he has telekinesis is; he can transmute the air around an object into a solid form of the energy, then move the energy around with the object inside, similar to telekinesis. That is also how he can fly, by transmuting the air around himself and then moving it around. This is also how his physical attributes are buffed, he can shield himself, make himself stronger or faster, etc.

The only "con" to his power is that he cannot directly control elements. He has to have transmuted an object first in order to control it. So if there was a fire, he couldn't directly manipulate the fire, he'd have to transmute it to energy or a different element.

This is where it gets confusing.

Why can't he just directly manipulate them? I wanted some way to nerf such an OP (imo) power. This is where I could use some suggestions/tips. Does this make sense or no? Is it a good way to nerf him or not?

As a character found way around this "con," he's capable of transmuting an element to his energy, then back to said element. This process is much quicker than the other, being almost instant. i.e. If there was a fire, he could transmute the fire to energy then back to the fire, and control the fire.

After some time, Verto is able to manipulate the extended elements (in the same way), such as electricity, ice, lava, nature, metal, etc.

At this point, he can absorb some of the elements, i.e. fire, water, air, and electricity. He can transmute it in his body, or he can use it directly from his body to attack.

I'd like to work in teleporting somehow, but I'm unsure of which element to use, or how he'd do it/how to explain how he does it.

After learning the extended elements, he is able to transmute his own body into an element, and teleport in a pace proportional to the element he's transformed into. For a speed reference, fire > air > water > earth. Shout out to /u/Whispersilk and /u/Jakkubus for helping me figure this part out!

To clarify, he cannot transmute organic matter; only his own.

So, there you have it. If you have any questions or suggestions/tips, please feel free to PM me or comment. Thank you.

Captain Anarchy

Name: Jack Deus (pronounced "day-OSE") Augustus

Age: 26

Alias: Captain Anarchy

Physical Description: the son of a Cuban immigrant and an Irishman, Captain Anarchy has dark, thick brown hair and light brown eyes, however is skin is far paler than most Hispanics, although he does not resemble anything too white. He is not amazingly tall at 5'11" but he is toned. He is rarely seen outside of his 'work clothes', a leather Mardi Gras/Zorro mask, combat boots, black or blue jeans, any shirt or jacket and most importantly a long black cape with a flame design at the bottom. The cape was originally a table cloth that his abuela bought him when he was young and would pretend to be a superhero. He has multiple tattoos across his back, chest, neck and arms that used to be gang tattoos but got modified to fit his new organization: the Anarchy Army. He has a scar on his upper lip from a piercing being pulled out in a fight and he wears three earrings in his left ear. One of his most prominent features is the large (self-inflicted) scar on the left side of his shoulder.

Backstory

Typed it all the way up and it was way long. Can go into detail if yall want but it probably isn't that important.

Summary: really rough childhood, father murdered, joined a gang, mom murdered, all his friends got killed, he assassinated the mayor of his city, had to flee, met a friend, friend betrayed him, friend then unbetrayed him and got killed, went to court, escaped, assassinated a military official, got apprehended by a military task force, put him in a program to join a Suicide Squad type thing, this is where he got the source of his powers, he escaped, killed some people, fled the country (kind of) with some of the squad and now is amassing an "army" of sorts to destroy what he's sees as a super corrupt system.

Powers

He progressively gets stronger throughout his timeline, so I'll include it chronologically.

Lucky Seven - based of the powers of the 7 gods of fortune in Japanese mythology. Takes the form of a gold plated handgun, it is part of a set of weapons that exist throughout this multiverse. Each one is somewhat similar to a Lantern Corps, but different. They give the wielded an enhanced attribute (usually just strength) based on killing people with a different trait (sorrow, rage, intelligence, honor, etc.). This one works different, of more of a charge system. For each person he kills who has had a major misfortune, their misfortune turns into his fortune. Death counts as one, so everyone he kills is at least 1 charge, some are multiple. If he runs out of ammo it will draw from his own life. He can use the gun to increase his chances of living, survive things he shouldn't, harm beings he shouldn't be able to, bring himself money, bring others poverty and a host of other things based around fortune and misfortune. He can never lose the gun as long as he is alive. The bullets are made of golden energy but behave mostly like normal bullets, unless special circumstances. He was given it by the government because they thought they had a failsafe and he needed to constantly be using charges to survive the use of his other weapon.

The Asi - so I'm not trying to get to much into the lore of this universe but basically part of a very powerful extradimensional being was trapped inside this piece of metal. This was an aspect of this being, normally referred to as Kali, the aspect being destruction. The sword is not sentient but it does actively seek to destroy things. Once it makes contact with someone's skin, it starts to bond parasitically. It gives them more power to destroy the more it bonds, but slowly destroys them too. The sword can take the appearance of any type of sword, the metal itself is just a host. The abilities of Lucky Seven allow Capt. Anarchy to survive this parasitic weapon and even remove it. Every 12 hours of usage causes him to expend a charge to stay alive, even if it's non-consecutive. He can basically cut through anything, as it destroys bonds on a molecular level. The edge doesn't even have to make contact because it can project a destructive edge. It can get to limitless potential, however the most Cap can use it without dying is city-buster. It can destroy in many ways.

Training - Jack is a decent marksman when he needs to be, but not superhuman. He has basic military combat training, and can go hand-to-hand with most untrained people no matter their strength and come out on top.

Intelligence and Will - he is surprisingly intelligent and extremely clever. His strategies are bold and reckless, but they have a high success rate. He never backs down and never gives up. He's nowhere Deadpool level of insanity, but some people perceive him that way. He does crazy things because normally he can survive them. He is at peace with himself and his actions because he views them all as part of the greater good.

Allies - his greatest asset is the Anarchy Army. He keeps them well funded and only recruits the most loyal. He slowly builds up from 6 people to 20 to 50 to 175 to 500. He has a lot of random thugs with guns and loyalty but he also has some really useful and powerful allies as well. His charisma allows him to turn many people not a part of his organization into allies while his ideology or methods make many detest him. He almost never works alone however.

Other Abilities he Gains

Monkey's Thumb - most of his lieutenants have some version of this. They once escorted a voodoo woman from New Orleans to Uganda and she gave them all totems. They switch it up occasionally but he usually wears this one on a bracelet. It grants him enhanced agility.

Angelic Blessing - one time he kidnapped an angelic being (part of an in universe event) He extorted the "angel" until it transplanted him with a part of its energy. His goal was FTL travel speed, but the angel couldn't grant that so he got enhanced reflexes and FTE combat speed.

Nothingness - he killed an inhabitant of the Nothing dimension and its ruler granted him an inter-dimensional visa basically. He can now visit about once or twice a year. This dimension exists in the same "space" as the regular dimension, meaning he can watch events transpire, however it also exists on a sub-layer, making him invisible and intangible. Literal nothing exists there, he is outside of space and time but he hasn't yet mastered that. He can cross thousands of miles in a single step if he wishes, but that's a lot of energy and about all he can do.

Curse of H'Washani - he tried to ransom the "angel" to a "demon" general but doublecrossed the general after his captive escaped. He then fled to the voodoo woman's brother who traded him this curse for one feather of the "angel". The curse makes it so he can only die in combat from a wound inflicted by his opponent. When the general found him, he never hit back making it technically not combat. He was beat within an inch of his life but recovered in only a few months. He could get hit by a truck and it would hurt, probably break a few bones but he would heal relatively quickly and above all he would not die.

Feedback please!!!
