Hello everyone. Im moving to the Springfield/ Alexandria area soon. I see alot of townhouses for sale/ rent there. Hows the construction of these buildings, specifically wandering how easy/ hard it is to hear your neighbors on a dialy basis.

I’m asking here because I live in the area. I have to go to a business Christmas party tomorrow. It’s pretty much mandatory. The issue is I take care of my 93yro grandmother who is immune compromised . I thought of masking since I’m going to be in a small enclosed space with over 60-100 people. I thought it was fine , but I’m being told that it’s stupid and it will make me look “uninviting and cold”. I’m a process server. I’m going to because my boss wants me to get to know more lawyers and attorneys we work with.

Hello, this is the first time I've done anything like this but I figured I might as well. My wife won't be able to make it to the showing with me, but I still intend on seeing this amazing movie again in imax. Not asking for money, but if you want to, sure, but I really don't care as long as you enjoy the movie. This showing does have closed captioning subtitles. If someone wants to take up this offer, send me a private message. I plan on going to xcal either before or after the movie since it's in the area and I like going there whenever I can. Wife and I are visiting NOVA for a few days before Christmas and I was wondering what restaurants will be open on Christmas eve. We will be staying in the Reston area but we are willing to travel a bit.

Nothing too fancy nor trashy. Decent food at reasonable prices. Would prefer to avoid Clyde's group and Great American properties as we know these well and fondly as former NOVA residents.

It seems like an entry-level position, but I'm not sure!

My sister in law and brother in law recently moved to Triangle VA. We are looking for ideas of restaurants, escape rooms, or experience gift ideas for them. They are mid 30s, no kids, like board games, traveling and site seeing. Is there any recommendations that would be good for them?!

Are there any local stores that sell the reindeer antlers for your car? I ordered some from Amazon and they blew away while I was driving the first day I had them. I was hoping to find some locally so I don’t have to wait on shipping again. I even tried looking on stores websites, but the only place I was able to find is Party City. Anyone got other leads?

Just saw a post about Wicket Door Pub going out of business so that got me curious. Ashburn folk- what are the hidden gems or places you most enjoy to get a drink at? I just moved to Broadlands from downtown Leesburg and my former super nearby favs were Spanky's, Green Tree, and Rebellion based on what kind of night I was in for.

Obviously it;s not like I moved across the country and still can go to those places but the difference between a 3 min uber and 25 min uber are pretty significant, especially on a chill weeknight.

Had reservations at Davio’s for 8 I made a month ago for this Saturday for my birthday & they just called having to cancel because some corporate company rented out the whole place. My whole idea is mob wife attire at a nice Italian restaurant so hoping for a nice spot with decent gluten free options for me that would have this availability on a Saturday night & looking for some help with recommendations!

Hey, I'm trying to plan a trip with my family to go snow tubing later this month.

My kids don't do well with very long car rides, so we're looking for somewhere that's within 90 mins from Loudoun County.. sadly, I know that limits us from places like Bryce, Massanutten, Canaan Valley

I've limited my choices to three, but trying to decide on one

1. Snow Riders (Harpers Ferry, WV)

2. Liberty Mountain Resort (Fairfield, PA)

3. Whitetail Resort (Mercersburg, PA)

Has anyone had experiences with any of those? I've seen Liberty and Whitetail are popular, but I haven't heard much about Snow Riders.

I'm talking minor dents to the hood or exterior panels due to fallen tree branches, not frame damage. I have a dent on my car hood and repairing it would mean replacing the entire hood.

Asked my insurance agent (state farm) and of course they say they can't tell if my rate will go up if I file a claim. So I'm wondering if others in this area have any experience I can draw from.

Just announced on Facebook out of the blue with no warning. Another blow to the Loudoun Restaraunt scene.

Best thing to come out of Covid is the scheduled appointments at the dmv. It saves so much time and headaches than waiting in line for hours. Being able to check different locations to find one that fits your schedule is chef’s kiss. This is worth its weight in gold imo lol.
