What are your thoughts on the Northumberland 250 route? Is there anywhere you would add/remove?
I’ve been to several places along the route but not all. If anyone has done it then I’d appreciate it if you can share your thoughts!
I’m from Newcastle (Whitley Bay) but have lived away for a long time so lost touch of what’s available in the area. I’m visiting my family with my fiancé this Christmas and I really want my fiancé to have a great time, we live in Japan and it’s her first time out of Asia. I know the basic things like Bamburgh castle, Dunstanburgh castle etc, but I’d love to hear some recommendations of where to go, especially something animal related, I know she’d love to meet some sheep.
We’re thinking about a budget friendly wedding venue in Northumberland! We don’t want to get married in a church, but a unique venue with outdoor space would be best.
Any ideas for this or even a good venue where we could have the celebration would be appreciated as we like the idea of registry office in Morpeth or Hexham, followed by a celebration with a buffet / food vendors afterwards. Nothing too formal as we want the day to be fun and we are not very serious people..!
Hi, my name is Tiegan and i am currently working on a project for my Geography A-Level in the Midlands. I am originally from the North East which is why i chose to do this area and i would love if anyone from Blyth, living in Blyth, would find the time to do this short survey!
Questions are short and there is only 11 questions so it will not take very long,
Thanks!
Hi, just wondering if there's any groups or resources for trail running around Alnwick area, can travel. Aware of harriers, but not keen on pounding pavements, did the parkrun yesterday and that was good, but would like more variation and distances.
I'm planning a surprise birthday meal and so far it looks like there'll be around 25ish people attending. The restaurant I had in mind is going to be closed on the date, so I'm looking for recommendations for somewhere that will cater for a large group but is also gonna be affordable for everyone coming. Does anyone have any ideas?
Coming to Newcastle! A great author event opportunity for creative writing and short fiction fans, just in time for Halloween.
Amazing to see be able to see the colour with the naked eye. Usually it is just a light haze!
Taken from back yard ten minutes ago....
Does anyone know any places that are doing volunteer work or paid work as I’m 16 and have recently moved to ashington
Surf trip up to Beadnell 6/7 September.
I'm planning on taking a train from York to Newcastle in the morning (I was going to do Berwick upon Tweed to start the day, but I found out they don't have car rentals anymore). Then I would rent a car and start my day. I plan to stay somewhere like Alnwick that night and spend the morning in the area somewhere before heading to Langley Castle the next day.
Is that too much? I got the idea from this subreddit but I am unclear on time frame. Visit northumberland is telling me at least 3 hours for holy island and I am assuming the others are equally time consuming.
What would you do?
We are thinking of moving to the area, my sister lives in Whitley Bay so knows some of the area but just wanted to get a locals perspective.
We would also be relying on public transport at first so would love a quick review of the buses! I know the train station is re-opening soon which is great
I'm on one of my regular visits to Amble this weekend (my fella and I are hoping to find a rental house in the area to move within the next six months) Just wondering if anyone wants to get me a conker tree location? It's a pub sport in my local and the first competition is next weekend but our local conkers are having a bad year. PS we're secretive of our best conker trees in the Peak District so I understand if you don't want bloody tourists nicking yer best conkers!
Just wanted to thank the kind people of Northumberland! We just visited your area and everyone was helpful, kind and genuinely supportive. As we were using Google maps, people would stop and offer assistance. Thank you again!
