Any info on why? Seems like you could at least get up there to see the view, use the restrooms and stretch even if the visitor center itself is closed. There’s no warnings of it either on i94 until you get off the exit. This is the 3rd time I’ve been this way and it’s just randomly closed off.
Had a question, I’m about to get a water hauling truck driving job in North Dakota for the oil fields and was wondering how they handle dot drug test out there. The company is Bell energy services and was curious if anyone knows if their dot drug test are observed or not.
I've asked people in person and googled it but I am getting conflicting answers. I live in Grand Forks and want to drive up to Winnipeg. Can I do this with just my driver's license, or do I need a passport?
Hi, all. My partner and I moved to Grand Forks a few months ago. She is originally from the Midwest and I've lived in some pretty nasty winter climates (Chicago for 10 years). We haven't yet experienced the fabled North Dakota winter, and I'm seeking advice for "winterizing" our home. All the copper in the basement is insulated and the home has brand new windows. Longtime North Dakotans, what are your best tips and tricks?
I have some time off and I'm thinking about visiting North Dakota this weekend/early next week (One day in Bismarck and two in Medora / Theodore Rooosevelt NP).
From the National Park perspective, I'm a newbie hiker and would also like to see some wildlife. Do you think I'll be okay and be able to see wildlife this time of year? I don't mind the cold - just wondering if I may be in over my head weather-wise or if it would just be more enjoyable to come next year?
Weather-wise, it looks like I may be coming in the week before it starts getting snowy. But from everything I've read, that's nothing to bank on. I'm not used to snow, but if I do come, is there anything (outside of clothing) that I should bring with me just in case?
Thanks for any advice. I generally avoid all travel after September, but I'm trying not to be such a fraidy cat but also not be foolish either lol.

She shares her views on everything from her opponent's attendance record, to the Farm Bill, to term limits.
Hi. I am an international student who currently live in northwest, but gonna move to ND in this January.
I am a minor and don't have a driver license in the US and my country. There are no relatives and friends in this country. I will live in a dorm in my school.
Is my situation too difficult to get a driver license in this state?
Short version. Let's say your are an NDSU student and you technically list your parents address in Minot. You can obtain a voting certificate through the college and vote in Fargo.
Otherwise you would need to vote by mail or travel to Minot.
You could also change your address from Minot to Fargo online
"The North Dakota Legislature expanded the use of supplemental documentation to include student voting certificates," White explained. "If there is a North Dakota student away from home, they can bring in that student voting document."
The change, approved in 2021, applies to students whose hometown is within North Dakota. They can access the voting certificate through their "Campus Connection" portal. If a student chooses to vote in their home district or home state, and they won't travel to the precinct on Election Day, they can request an absentee ballot. Details are posted at Vote.ND.org.
Community service groups said North Dakota has increasingly been dealing with housing affordability issues. For those experiencing homelessness or housing instability, White reminded them they can still cast a ballot.
I've had my MMJ card for a few years. I just had major surgery and upon discharge ordered basically as much RSO as possible because the hospital only sent me with three days of painkillers.
I ran out of my allotment and have had to wait about a week for it to reset.
Anybody with their card ever get more allotment? Is it possible in this state? I know a guy in CA who got his allotment raised by his doctor for his PTSD
I will NEVER vote for a republican again. My cats are pleased they are a part of the democratic process!
Hey y'all! I'm currently on my final round of interviews for a field engineer position with baker Hughes in Minot. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the company. There's lots about them online but very little about the going-ons in ND, which is what I'm interested in. If anyone knows what kind of schedule they do (like a 14/14 or 11/4 or something), or how often they would send me traveling, or any general tips, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!!!
It seems like something strange always goes on in Minot.
Pretty much what the title says. I have heard so many things about measure 2 and I am honestly confused about the point of it. I know it is (I think) centered around initiated measures? Help a fella understand.
