I made the following observation today.
Tickets from Basel to Prag (EN 40459) are bookable on oebbtickets.at, but on nightjet.com it says they are sold out.
Question:
* does anybody have an explanation for this?
* does this happen often (maybe with ENs)?
* is nightjet.com a reliable ticket shop at all? :-)
Paris Wien nighjets were supposed to be daily starting from timetable change which is not the case after all. It is a shame. What is even more worrying is the absence (as of today on the nightjet website at least) of couchette carriages. Only sleepers and seats are sold right now for the christmas and winter period. Anyone has additional information on this ?
I want to book the nightjet train EN414 from Ljubljana to Stuttgart (7th december), however it says there are construction works basically the entire track in Austria (see picture). Although it is still possible to book the nighttrain.
Does anyone have any experience with construction works or delays or missed connections while you booked a similar night train? I would love to know if OBB has to find you another train connection and if I have to pay for it or not. I just want to know what I can expect and if it might be smarter to book another train or not.
I tried to contact OBB for more information. But I don't think they even understand my question and did not give any other information. This is all the information I have....
Hey so on the öbb app they state that there are several cancellations due to the floodings. I‘m taking the nightjet on october 10th from vienna-brussles. Has anyone taken it lately cause i‘m not sure if its cancelled or not?
I am thrilled to present nightride.com, Europe’s first independent search platform for night trains and buses!
My two friends and I had the idea because we were frustrated with the challenges you face when booking night trains. Dynamic pricing, limited capacities, and no way to compare prices from different ticket vendors — you probably have experienced it yourself.
So, with the goal of making travelling by night as easy as possible, we have built nightride.com in our free time. With just a few clicks, you can search for night trains and buses and then pick the best offer from various ticket vendors. Yes, we were inspired by similar meta-search platforms for other means of transport:)
The key features of our websites are:
We have just started: So far, we have more than 60 night train lines between over 75 cities from ÖBB/Nightjet and SBB. Over the coming months, we will add more lines and vendors, including night buses. Our aim is to cover all of Europe—next up is Italy.
We do not sell tickets ourselves. When you click on an offer, you are forwarded to the vendor’s website to book your ticket. This allows us to stay independent and show you the best offers.
Give it a try and let us know your thoughts—we appreciate every feedback! You can do so here on Reddit or via the feedback form on our website.
Cheers

Hello everybody,
Anybody has inside news or info on why the tickets for the month of August for the Paris-Vienna are not in sale yet? (Or are they sold out?)
Cabin and Seats are available for the 8th of august (no couchettes)
Only seats available for the 10th of august
And then absolutily nothing available for the other days of the month (niether in september nor october...)
I really need to know if a train will depart on the 17th of august. It's really a pain in the ass to organise the summer vocation without knowing if we can book our main train...
Thanks
Selling 3 tickets on the European sleeper on Weds 19th June from Brussels to Berlin. The whole 4-person couchette is booked so would be happy to sell them individually as well. Prepared to sell less than face value as I can no longer use them and they are non-refundable
Does anyone know how punctual the Snälltåget night trains are from Berlin to Stockholm? We would need to catch a connecting train in Malmö that leaves 30 minutes later and are wondering if that is realistic.
Hi Everyone,
I have 2 tickets from 10th-14th of June that I'm looking to sell. They're couchettes in a shared cabin from Brussels to Berlin. I don't need them anymore but they're non refundable so can sell them for a good price. Please let me know if you're interested or have any questions.
Cheers
Hello! I am looking at my first night train journey and I feel I wouldn't be able to sleep well thinking I'd fall over the edge of the couchette. As far as I can see there is absolutely no rail/edge and with the movement of the train and the couchette being so narrow does that ever happen? I feel like I must be missing something because I don't see anyone else ever asking this question :)
I’m getting the European Sleeper from Berlin to Brussels soon. Leaving at 9:30pm, arriving the next day at 10:30am.
I’m in a four person couchette. I’ve never been on a sleeper train before, so could anyone tell me how the seat/bed situation will be? Will the seats already be converted into beds, and remain like that for the entire journey? Or will they be converted into beds at 11pm or so? What about in the morning?
Just need to work out when I’ll be able to sleep and when I’ll have to get up, really.
