I’ve seen this picture pasted a bunch of places around town. Anyone know who it is? What’s the story?
For context, my boyfriend is a trans male and will be going to NU. He was worried about having any issues with other students and/or staff. Should he have any significant worries of not passing well enough, or having any major issues? Any input would be appreciated, thanks :)
Baking for Thanksgiving this year dredged up some fond food memories for me, so I thought I'd ask if anyone remembers. I know I've seen their supposed pumpkin pie recipe floating around online, but does anyone remember their bread? I just remember it being a white bread, somewhat sweet, super fluffy inside (a butter spreading nightmare if it wasn't soft) with that right amount of crunch on the outside. Can anyone else remember the style? I've been trying various recipes and whatnot to try and replicate it (Japanese milk bread was sort of the closest, but not so much for the crust), but maybe my fond childhood memories of shoveling down entire loaves just isn't what it used to be. I was talking it over with my mother and she swore someone said it came in frozen (which seemed highly unlikely they'd have a consistent supplier for that long), but we both agreed it was amazing.
Someone stole the garbage bags out of my garbage can on Monday. Why? Who would commit the absurd act at stealing the contents of a garbage can? I went to take it to the street on Monday night and it was suspiciously lighter than it was that morning. I opened it and it was completely empty. It was full that morning. Why? They didn't do anything else but steal the contents of the garbage can. I'm still so confused. I can't get it out of my head. Why is there a garbage can burglar? Why would you do this? What purpose is there in stealing rotten food scraps and used sanitary items?
My son's hockey team signed up for a last minute hockey tournament at Hyde Park Ice Pavillion. Can anyone recommend a good family restaurant near the rink (aka Niagara Falls Ice Pavillion)? I'm looking for a good place for the team to grab a bite to eat between games.
Is there anyone here who has done the ABSC Nursing program at Niagara University? I'd love to get some advice!
I know it's a more conservative area, but are there any trans folks out there in Niagara falls? What's your experience? Or anybody seen any violence or harassment of trans folks?
Which Target do NF NYers go to?
The one just over the Rainbow Bridge from Canada, in Niagara Falls, NY is horrible. It’s always ransacked. Clothes all over the floor. Empty shelves.
Is there a better one?
I’ve been looking for mead, calling around to the different places and can’t find any. Does anyone know where I can get some?
I've been trying to find if there was a ny subreddit for niagrafalls. (There had to be right) and I found it.
Need opinions for the “You Better Not Neighborhoods” to move to…. And Why ? Go!
I was in a rollover accident today on 7th and the amount of people who came to our aid was so wonderful to see. A gentleman saw my panic as our dog got free and helped me look for her too. We didn’t locate her but someone else did. I’m at the vet and the gf is getting checked at ECMC but it could have been worse. Thank you again to all who assisted us💕
On May 30th, 1985, a man named Robert Ahrens committed suicide on live air television. It was remained lost media for decades until 2011, it was found and became a part of a video, called: Darkest Moments in Televisions History 4.
Does anyone have the recipe for Page’s Cheese sauce? I haven’t had a Whistle Pig in a decade.
What was the building that’s being torn apart there and what’s being built there?
Hello! I was wondering if anyone could kindly suggest things to do/places to visit in the Niagara Falls and Buffalo area during the winter. I’m open to suggestions on the Canadian side as well! I’ve visited a few times, but I’m still not familiar enough to know all the good local spots. I know I’m getting pizza at Buzzy’s and going to a Bills game lol. But any other recommendations for activities and local restaurants and bars would be greatly appreciated :)
I see so many affordable houses in the center of where I'm told I shouldn't move to! That's so frustrating - common sense says move to DeVeaux or LaSalle but my wallet says move to Little Italy. :(
I'm planning to take my in-laws to the mentioned resort. However, are there notable eats or specific routes you like or suggest? Thanks
