Hey! Soooo, small issue:

Me and my girlfriend have been wanting to play TF2 together, but since we both dont wanna throw ourselves into online gaming without any experience, we first wanna try playing offline together. ^^

We followed the Developer Console steps 1 by 1, from Server creation, adding bots, and finally using the IP address to add the other. Alternatively, we even tried joining the party over friendlist, yet we had no luck joining the others lobby. (Yes, we even tried adding the "27015" to the IP address :( We dont know why it doesnt work)

So, is it even possible to have others join your own Community Server? Is there something else we can try?

I've had this question for awhile, even asked some medics in-game but they never answered. Why do medics use Uber (for instance attack defend maps) before the gates even open, it feels like they are just wasting Uber! Can someone explain what this does?

So here's the deal. I don't play multiplayer games. I don't play fps games. I play console, not PC. So why on earth would I want to play TF2? The reality is I'm a cosplayer and medic looks like a fun cosplay, so I want to get into the actual game too. That's it. Stupid reason I know, but god damn it, I don't care. I want to play this game. I've only spent about an hour in game, and only in the practice games with the shitty bots. I've been too scared to get in even a casual lobby and be a detriment to my team because I'm worse then even most bran new players. I have no issue at all being bad at game at first, but I don't really want other people mad at me for it. (Even if it's unavoidable realistically) So I guess to sum it all up, how to I get into TF2 from absolute ground zero? Thanks for listening to my rambling

I just bought an item and my TF2 turned premium, I was wondering, if I sell the item will my TF2 be still premium?

I recently crafted the menpo but I am a medic main so I probably won't make use of it/don't rly like playing demo or soldier

What can I do? Not that I need to get rid of it but could I trade it on one of the websites for something I'd want/would be able to wear? Is it even worth anything? Or should I just keep it

Also why do cosmetics have levels? Can two of the same cosmetic have different levels? And what are painted variants? Are those war paints?

So i just got into tf2 recently and i am being tempted into becoming premium but another part of me wants to remain f2p so i have some questions

1. can i use scrap.tf to get ítems being f2p?

2. is it possible to get tradeable scrap being f2p?

3. is it possible to get keys as a f2p?

4. i know this is more of a personal question but is it worth spending money on tf2? (If Its just for premium)

5. Any general guide for tf2 market? (For example what should i do with duplicates?)

6. Anything that i should know?

i plan to spend the minimal amount of money on the game but i do wanna get some items my plan for getting premium was buying an ubersaw

Super new player. I’ve been playing tf2 for less than a day on my laptop and I need tips on playing Soldier. I’ve been getting screamed at for not rocket jumping a lot or being to agro. Do you guys have any tips for me to get better?

I really have no idea how the entire cosmetic system works lol it's sorta confusing

But basically title (and of course I'd assume if yes they'd be very rare to get?)

Also I have crafted 2 refined metal so far so if I were to like craft headgear from it what are the possible headgears I could craft?

To be fair, I've got four of the things (don't ask me how, I had a long-ish hiatus shortly after I got the game and have no clue what I did). That said, while I *did* just barely open a backpack*tf thing and I've made a singular trade with one other listing up, I never offered a contract pass and it never occured to me that or why I should. Can someone remind me where I would've got these things from and why someone else wouldn't have them? I'm not exactly an OG so it's not like the passes are old or anything.

It's me again. I don't know why I'm still asking for help. I'm the guy who constantly asks for tips. Here I am again. Recently, I've gotten significantly worse at engineer. I don't know why. I used to always be MVP. Now I'm most certainly always at the bottom of the scoreboard. I don't know if it's because I haven't played TF2 in more than a month. Any tips will do. Are medics more prone to being bullied?? I was playing this game and also I typically don't get many kills, I think 3/4 is my most in a game (as medic) and a TON of deaths lmao

But I was playing a game and was second on my team, my team was overall doing poorly but I'm not one to get that upset over a loss cuz I more care abt personal stats. But this random guy gets on mic and starts shitting on me for how many points I had when I was second?? And he had maybe like 3 more than me LMFAO and he was going on abt how I had no kills

But he keeps shitting on me and calling me useless and being like "you don't even know how a kritz works ur not using a stock" when I ubered while sorta behind cover?? Like I thought you're supposed to be more protective of urself since you're vulnerable??? like it was confusing cuz idek what I was doing wrong

1. would playing training mode as engineer be helpful? I guess I'm asking if the bots behave like real people do, if it would be realistic

2. how long does a spy's sapper take to break buildings? Does it vary on the type of building and the level of it?

3. I have read that you should not put sentrys near other engis sentrys, and I def understand. But does this rule also go for teles and dispensers?

Hello Team Fortress 2 fan, yesterday, November 19, 2024, I received a message from a person named "TRASH" saying that he wanted to exchange an item for me on TF2. The item in question was a golden frying pan in exchange for my 9 taunts (see the images) because he said that he liked to exchange rare weapons for less good weapons. As we discussed, we were going to make the exchange but he sent me that we would have to wait 15 days to be able to make the exchange, which is why I am sending this message (I forgot to say that he had a lot like 3 pages filled with unusual cosmetics and 3 golden frying pans including a renowned one). Today is November 20, 2024, for this post, I tried to find the messages but I could not find them because I was on voice with another friend (including him who told me to add TRASH as a friend) named DaddysHome but most likely he deleted them (moreover TRASH told me to become friends with gerzo because it must have been one of his trader friends). Finally the question part, 1: do you think it's a scam?, 2: Does anyone else know TRASH, DaddysHome and gerzo?, 3: TF2 objects can contain viruses? and 4: is it a safe exchange? (knowing that he gives me a golden frying pan against my 9 taunt). THANK YOU for reading my long message and I hope to have answers and for those who want to contact me I put my account.

I've been playing tf2 for a few hundreds hours and i have trouble to find myself enjoying this game like the is good but i cant have fun for some reason

How many medics minimum do you think should a team have?

I am a medic main I have probably 70h with the second most class probably like 2h, I have surprisingly found in my more recent games I haven't been the solo medic and I've been free to play other classes. Typically I'll switch if there are two (or more) other medics, I think 2 is pretty 'safe' for me to swap out. Part of the reason I've played medic so frequently is that I typically am the only one on the team

What do you think? Is 2 good enough? I've honestly found 3+ to be too many
