I was reading THIS about Gregg Mele, who is now running for governor of New Jersey and I just can't look past that last part,
I'm not sure I want to vote for anyone that thinks we should lock up people for smoking pot, but what's everyone else take on him?
Mainly Mediterranean/Mideastern bars & lounges that sell flavored tobacco.
"FDA supports a wide range of research to understand the differences between menthol and nonmenthol cigarettes, as well as the full spectrum of other flavored tobacco products, such as cigars, e-cigarettes and other ENDS, and hookah (waterpipe) tobacco."
I am hoping whoever wins the election they win in a landslide for the sake of nation not ripping itself further apart. Does anyone else feel this way?
I have heard this from time to time on the topic of voting 3rd Party, but as of late I have started throwing this line back in peoples faces. If someone lives in a swing state, then sure, cast your vote for 'the lesser of 2 evils'. But if you live in a state that is going to, for sure vote Republican or Democrat, then voting against the Two Party System is a more powerful vote. Voting for Biden or Trump in a Red or Blue State IS 'throwing your vote away'.
Hey all, I studied Environmental Science at Ramapo Collage and I own and operate a small Beekeeping business in northern NJ. The business was founded when I was in school because I didn’t like government or not-of-profit work was right for me. I wanted to start a business that provides the service of doing good for my customers.
At school I had an obsession with bees and agriculture while watching most of the government programs that exist be a waste of money to the tax payer.
I think that a libertarian government, would, for the most part, allow us humans really feel what we are doing to the planet with our paychecks and wallets.
I’d like to set something up in NJ where like mind people can meet and talk about issues and solutions to them. Personal message me if you’d like to do that.
Recently found this sub. Newish to libertarian ideas. I see a lot of links posted here which is great. Anyone interested in discussing New Jersey issues and potentially getting involved?
Short rant:
The state re-elected a corrupt Senator in Bob Menendez by a decent margin 53% to 44%. (Sabrin got 0.7%)
Sabrin, one of the Libertarian Party's best and most qualified candidates even lost 3rd place to the Green Party's nominee.
New Jersey, a state known for having major financial issues had it's voters approve a $500 million bond.
Michigan voters just approved legal marijuana, meanwhile our Democratic controlled State Senate, General Assembly, and Governor just cannot find the votes.
