I am 29 years old and I have been sober the last five years. Out of the last many years my career took presidence and by working from home I have had very little human interaction (despite emails and phone calls). With me being five years sober I will still go to a bar with my wife however I do not do any of the drinking and I serve as the DD. I haven't met anyone while at our few bar trips though. My question is despite going to a church and getting involved how would I go about meeting primarily guys my age that want to hang out?

As someone born and raised here, I’ve seen downtown change a lot over the years—especially when it comes to coffee shop ownership/management. I’ve been exploring the coffee scene downtown and honestly, I’m feeling a bit underwhelmed. I’ve had my fair share of lattes and cappuccinos, cold brews and while the sheer volume of coffee shops are plentiful and some do show promise, the overall quality hasn’t been great, service can be hit-or-miss (leaning miss), and it’s tough to find a good balance of flavor, texture, and care in a cup.

That said, I’m hopeful! I’ve noticed some new places/trucks opening up recently, which is exciting. Maybe the coffee scene here is on the brink of something better?

Why are the flies so bad in New Braunfels? I’ve lived in other places in Texas and have never experienced such a problem with flies until moving here almost 3 years ago. They are literally everywhere- restaurants, backyard, parks, you name it. We can’t escape them!

Hello EVERYONE! About 10 days ago we sent our 1 yr old maltipoo puppy, Willow, to a training school in Canyon Lake/ New Braunfels area on Wegner Rd that is called All Dogs Unleashed. She was to stay boarded with them for 2 weeks. But when she was being transferred out of her crate, she bolted on them and has been missing ever since.

They had a sighting of her last Monday running by the road on Wegner heading towards Purgatory Rd. By the water tower. All Dogs Unleashed have been tirelessly talking with all neighbors and ranch owners in and around the area, vets, delivery drivers, groomers and searching around the clock and passed out a ton of flyers with her pic and there is now a $2,500 REWARD too. It's been posted on Facebook and the Neighborhood app as well as other lost dog websites. I went out yesterday because we were gone on a trip until yesterday, and I realized it could be in the New Braunfels area OR Canyon Lake.

I was hoping everyone could keep a look out for her or maybe tell your friends or family. They told us around Purgatory Rd and Shannon Lee would be places for us to look so we are. She is chipped but no collar. She answers to Willow, said in a sweet non threatening way because she is skiddish around people, but loves other dogs. She is food driven so the word treat, will get her attention too. But I would appreciate if anyone sees her or even better catches her, PLEASE call. I just want her home safe. All Dogs Unleashed and speak to anyone or take her to a vet or shelter, anyone that can chip check her. We joke she's our little alien because she is so much like Stitch from Lilo and Stitch, because she is up to no good, loves trash, can jump so high, and is extremely fast and small and smart. I miss her more and more each day and would be forever grateful for any help to find my baby.
