Yes, I would love to buy a new S61 mk3 but the $1100cdn is just out of reach right now. I can buy a used mk2 for $450 that I can afford.

I don’t own any Native Instruments plugins other than the free stuff they have offered over the years. I do own quite a few NKS compatible plugins and quite a few that are not. I use Logic Pro and want a midi keyboard that interfaces with Logic or give me access to edit my music without the need to constantly need to jump back and forth between the midi and the mouse.

Can you setup midi user templates and assign the midi CCid for the encoder and buttons so you can have predefined setups for the non NKS plugins that I use and they are just there. As in I don’t need to keep redefining them for every project ?

Is the NI Kontrol S61 mk2 a good match?

Hi guys, I have a question. I have mapped all my controls correctly. However sometimes the dynamics control just doesn’t do anything when i try automating it in the piano roll. I’m using BRSO articulate (cause I’m on FL studio) and the most curious thing to mention is that all the other expressions work without the slightest problem; it’s only the dynamics knob that works on some instruments but not on others. Additionally, if for example in project 1, the strings dynamics knob works, but the brass dynamics knob doesn’t, if i then go ahead and create a brand new project and try doing brass dynamic first, then the dynamic is working again. I wonder if anyone knows what’s going on? Thank you for the help.

Hi All! I am having this issue with some libraries in Kontakt 7.
There's no sound and non of the properties of the library shows on the user interface.
I would think there's an issue with the Library, but it happens with a few of them.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Basically what the title says. Scanning for plugs only shows Kontakt 8 and Kontakt, no Kontakt 7 even though it shows as installed in Native Access. I need to use 7 to save the presets I made in a track before swapping to 8.

Probably a dumb question but it's one I'm struggling to find the answer to. Basically I've been playing around with these tools, ones I wouldn't usually use tbh and they're a good way to get something started when you're running on empty. I've got a couple phrases I'm happy to work with and tweak, mostly just from using a couple notes to shuffle between a few phrases. Now I want this in midi.

Ofc I could just map it out manually but I figure that's probably the long way round and there's likely some way to export the midi to Cubase that I've missed? These are some pretty nice workflow tools and I figure what I'm trying to do is likely the intended use, I'm just missing it somehow. Can anyone help push me in the right direction?

Thought perhaps it was the XLR cable or something but can’t figure it out possible the gain nub is broken? Or some sort of software issue.

I’m using a dynamic pd200x mic it works fine when plugged in via usb c but soon as I use the interface the mic signal in any daw is shit.

Can anyone with a Kontrol S88 MK3 comment on how the key-action feels compared to say Yamaha or Nord stage keyboards? Does it have a light-action, a heavy-action?

I want to get a 88 key weighted keyboard, and one that I am considering is either a Yamaha YC keyboard, or maybe even a Casio PSX-6000. But depending on how the Kontrol feels, I would consider going that direction instead.

I wish I could try one in person, but saw none at my local Guitar Center.

Has anyone had experiences with the interface having glitches in the audio where it sounds like the music is screeching through a blown speaker

It worked perfectly before I wiped my computer. But since it’s been doing this every 10-15 mins could it be a driver problem ?

I just got the s61 mk2 snd after setting it up (i.e. all the little add ons and stuff like kontact and maschine 2), I immediately fell into a stump, what do I do know. I know it sounds stupid but I just want to try out the keyboard and I get that I need a DAW (Using Waveform Free), I can't figure how to really do anything. I tried searching the jnternet and the website but mostly everything is talking about things I had no idea about. If anyone could link a vid or something to help me figure out what I'm doing, I'd much appreciate it, Maybe I didn't search enough Idk. Thanks!

I'm trying to recreate a guitar tone similar to the one in "BITTER" by Roxferry, in guitar rig 6.

Basically, I'm splitting the signal, sending one half to a guitar amp (with twang reverb) and the other part to an oktaver, then to a bass amp. The oktaver was glitchy, so I put a high shelf before it, and now it sounds better.

Then I used a fuzz pedal in the guitar branch. However, I still don't have a similar sound.

My sound seems overcompressed, overdistorted, and weaker. Has anyone recreated a sound like the one I want, or do you have tips to help me achieve it?

For some reason today I opened up and older song that uses Massive X and it asks me to activate with the NI app. I have, I wrote the song on this computer. I tried reinstalling, uninstalling, manually deleting plists, etc. No luck

Is this a known problem? Can't find anything in my searchings.

If i sell someone a komplete 14 ultimate update, and they have komplete standard, will it work for them?

Bear with me, because I have never used installer hubs apps for hundreds of gigs in libraries before.

So I subscribed to 360 Pro for a 7d trial (boo, I know), so I can try out as many instruments as possible before spending on the ones that work for me, and I have a good broadband so it takes only 20 minutes for a 30GB intrument. I enqueue many.

But here's the thing: the installation is a virtual CD-ROM mounted when the download is complete, the folder is revealed and I start the attended installer (because I see nothing else happening), and then Native Access starts downloading the next instrument in queue on its own. If I'm not fast enough to complete that installation, the next instrument gets mounted as a CD-ROM (again) over the one being installed.

Naturally the install stops and prompts "where's my CD?!". I can't change the queue order in Native Access to get the previous installer mounted, so I cancel the installer for later. Native Access doesn't seem to register a failure (probably because exiting the installer with the Cancel+Confirm buttons returns code 0, which means success), and I can't find the ISO file in the download location. I think Native Access deleted it thinking the install was a success. The instrument looks like it's installed too from the library tab. But I don't believe it since I saw the install wizard fail.

So I right click on the instrument in the NA library and select "reinstall", it's enqueued again, starts downloading from 0. What a waste of time.

Okay I have all day and I'm not gonna let this upset me. I'll install each instrument one-by-one to be sure, I won't leave the desk, I won't go into cubase to make music, I will not let an installation fail again.

But I'd like to ask what the community thinks is the correct and most practical way to install many instruments accross many GB's in download?

Could get a 14 ultimate for about the same price as 15 std. Not sure if I should take this offer, or should I go with 15 Standard with Kontakt 8?

I've been only using semi weighted keyboards so far, but considering s88 this time.

The only thing I'm afraid is that s88 might require too much pressure.

If you've played both mk3 versions, can you tell me how they are?

I used to play piano when I was younger, but am still worried if it needs too much pressure since I am so much used to semi weighted keys. I heard s88 mk3 has great feeling to play, but I would appreciate it if you can tell me how it is compairing with s61 or s49.

Battery 4, cells 1-13 work fine, cells 14 & 15 the layer volume/pan/tune do nothing.

I use the volume to "by ear" balance the volume of all the layers before applying volume-by-velocity curve to them. I've spent all day setting up cells 1-13 without issue, but 14 & 15 the layer controls do nothing. I've got a really loud sample on layer 8 that needs attenuation. I've done that to other cells.

What am I missing?

I just bough the update to Komplete 15 (from 11) and I am downloading the new stuff but it's overwhelming. I just don't know if everything is goiing to be useful. I see so many instruments of which I think if they will really be useful: many pianos (electric keys etc), a lot of sample instruments that take up lots of space. I am sure they all can be useful but it's just so much.

So: how do you deal with installing Komplete? Do you make a selection or do you install everything and do you try out every instrument/effect?

im clueless as to what to do here. everything has full disk access. i cant choose uninstall... it has no name ........ive asked google.... i read error message solutions.. ive restotred default locations...... called a shrink to restore my sanity as well.... im not great with this stuff but... um... help?

I need some advice. I have Komplete 14 CE, and I have not been getting the best out of it as my workflow is entirely inside Ableton and using a Push 2.

I want to be able to do the following

• browse the NI libraries better
• use the symphony instruments easily (color coded)
• still finger drum with the push (if this is possible)
• still arrange using ableton

Am I better off getting a machine (if so which one), or do I need an S series keyboard as that is the only way to get the color coded guides for the symphony and regional packs (cuba, india, etc...)
