A place to ask, share, rate, and discuss all things local and chain food, restaurants, food experiences in the Nashville and Middle TN area. West End Chili's is allowed (for now).

In town for reunion next week, so I need a place that takes reservations. Ideally near Vanderbilt.
West end chilis does not take reservations, and my lifetime ban from 20 years ago is probably still enforced.
Anyways!
1 vegetarian, everyone else is pretty basic with food requirements. Ideally somewhere not super loud. Not super expensive, but good food im willing to splurge.
Help me out Nashville!
Brown's Diner is a weekly go-to of mine. I am curious what other Nashville staples you guys know and love.
I might have found the Caribbean spot I was missing in Riddim n’ Spice. Everything’s made in house and they have a great staff serving up the food. Anyone have other recommendations for Caribbean food in Nashville?
I love a good smashburger, but miss a well cooked medium rare burger. Assuming some steakhouses around here would have some option, but would appreciate more middle of the road options if possible. Any recs?
So as a follow up to the post below, it turns out that we're actually going to only have 6 in the group which I think opens us up to some more options. Outside of limitations on # of people I was considering Tailor, Bastion and Catbird seat. I think now that we only have 6 people those all might work (not 100% sure on Catbird).
For a group of 6 guys, would you recommend one over the other? I was about to book Tailor but then checked out Bastion when I realized we were down to 6 and it looks pretty cool, especially the bar out front. My only worry is that it looks like they do reservations starting the 1st of each month for that month and we're going the first weekend of December so I wasn't sure if things would sell out quick and we'd be out of luck. Tailor is available now but needs to be prepaid and isn't refundable.

Has anybody been here? Just found it and it is a hidden gem . Great prices and a ton of food.
Looking for the BEST place to grab some Mac and cheese. Any suggestions?
In a foodie city like Nashville where eating out can sometimes be $25-40 per person and the food tastes like microwaved garbage… restaurants like Wabash Southern Kitchen really stick out.
First of all… yes this isn’t in east Nashville or even an area like Brentwood or Franklin. Nolensville is a bit out of the way and Nolensville Pike absolutely sucks.
But my gosh, this restaurant is absolutely fantastic.
Two main reasons why you need to go
And all of these options are great. Again… it’s homemade. I’ve been to places in Nashville that will charge you $20 for “hand made Nashville hot chicken” and you know that shit was microwaved in the back and dunked in some buffalo sauce.
This is one of the few restaurants where I can visually see that the chicken was hand battered and fried. And it was phenomenal.
B) it’s affordable. Their meat & 2/3 section is all under $20. The most expensive chicken tender basket is $16. And they have a full section of the menu with smaller portions that is all under $10. $10!!
You can get a homemade chicken sandwich (including the bread!) that is cheaper than McDonalds for a meal. Absolutely insane.
If you are in the area for some reason or are just craving some good ole southern food… please please please support this restaurant. We need more places like this that create amazing homemade food at affordable prices.

Been on a noodle kick lately so I’m finally getting around to TTJ.
For those that have been there before, I’m split between the tonkatsu, the tantanmen and the crab noodles. Any recommendations?
Anyone know where to get fried gizzards near Hendersonville?
Bread pudding is Top 3 desserts for me, and I know where to get good tiramisu and strawberry rhubarb pie. Can’t point to an absolute banger for this one though (at least not anymore, RIP 55 Souths banana bread pudding)
Any reccs?
I'm in town visiting my mom. Looking for somewhere to have dinner before a play. Somewhere between the style/price of melting pot (hopeful they eventually come back) and Ruth Chris. I don't eat out alot and Google is being very overwhelming with results. Neither of us are drinkers, so it doesn't matter if the drink menu is good or not.
I'm a big fan of everything they've done so far and will miss the lunch service at the tortillaria. But these prices are a bit wild to me. I get their rent in the gulch is probably stupid high, but $19 for a farmer's salad with no protein? $30 for a milanesa? $48 for 9oz of flank steak?
Seeing a concert at Marathon music works that doesn’t start until 8:00 PM. Anything good in that area that’s open on Sunday night? My cursory look at google maps didn’t return much. At least, nothing that appears to be open late enough.
Hi!! I’ve never been to Nashville and I have a layover there this week. Is there anywhere yummy to have lunch in the airport?? I can’t stop in Nashville and not eat! 😊😊
Are there any options other than Hunan Express? Tried them this weekend and was pretty disappointed. I know about TKO but I'm looking for more of a traditional take-out than anything elevated.
I know BR makes a mean one but I’m hoping to find something a bit more customized for my spouse’s birthday.
Just wondering what everyone’s favorite smash burger spots are around Nashville.
I ordered a Hawaiian Pizza last night from Dolce Vita. Their meatball pizza is one of my favorites! The Hawaiian was not great. Not enough pineapple and the ham was cut too small.
Anyone have a great recommendation??
Exactly what the title says. I love Black Dynasty but it’s a trek over to Charlotte. Same for not going into East Nash if we can help it. Looking for any good recommendations down this way - Brentwood, Antioch or even Smyrna/Mboro.
Who's got it? Let's hear some folks sound off.
