Hi everyone! I (30M) posted on here previously seeking a drummer for a pop punk project and have since connected with someone (28M). We've been jamming semi-regularly at Pirate Studios in Bushwick. Now, we're looking to loop in a bass player.
I recorded some demos here for reference: https://soundcloud.com/personal-pizza-ftw/sets/demos
We're looking for an experienced bass player around our age who (1) can play to a click (2) uses a pick and (3) has experience being in bands/playing shows. Think Blink 182 in terms of stylistically what we're going for. The bass parts aren't complicated, but check out the demos to make sure you'd be a good fit.
We've been jamming on Saturdays once every week or so. So, not a big time commitment. Looking to put together some recordings, make friends with some bands, and play shows at local venues.
Feel free to DM me if you think you’re a good match!
Hi l'm looking for someone to rent 2-3 hours a day, twice a week, between the hours of 10am-5pm. We are by the Jefferson Street L station. We have guitars, bass, amps, drum set and recording equipment. Seeking musicians or any one who needs a work space. 150/month

Hello We are now a 4 piece band, 2 guitars, bass and female vocals.
Our sound is Mazzy Star ish, meets guitar noise effects, distortion, dreamy rock.
We're looking for a permanent drummer to join us.
Rehearsals are in Manhattan on Mondays. Book shows soon.
M or F, age/race doesn't matter.
Seek more of a backbeat drummer than a heavy fills type. More Ringo, Less Peart. Heavy footed like Bonham a plus
We are dedicated to the project, pay rent in our space and overall chill peeps.
We'd prefer someone who isn't in multiple bands so they can commit to this band.
Just be into rock music somewhat and open-minded as a musician.
Please message me if interested. It's a smoke friendly environment.

Hi community! We are a six-piece band (including drums and keyboard) looking for a long-term shared rehearsal space in midtown. If you're looking for reliable renters or know any leads, I'd hugely appreciate the info!
Ideally we'll use one or two full evenings each week, and share equipment with folks who are reasonable and respectful. Thank you so much!
So far the only place I’ve practiced was Rivington Music Rehearsal Room but was wondering if there are other places like this where we can rent out by the hours that has amps, drum set, keyboard, etc prepared for you. Either Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, or JC
Hello everyone, I’m a 23 years old Guitar player looking for musicians to connect, I’m looking for people to jam, collaborate in projects and perform. Hey Reddit, we're hosting an Open Mic this Wednesday at Starr Bar!
If you haven't been to The Medley's Open Mic before — The Medley is a new community helping NYC musicians connect, whether with our web app or at our IRL events.
Our last few Open Mics have featured impromptu Paramore jam sessions, live collaborative songwriting, and Dancehall dance breaks — all performed by the welcoming community of musicians who attend our events.
📋 THE DETAILS
🎶 ABOUT THE MEDLEY
What’s up everyone we got 2 guitarists and a bassist going to jam tomorrow but we need a drummer! Low pressure, any style!
We get together often and have been playing together for a few years. ISO of a song-focused keyboardist/guitar player who can do vocals(a plus).
The jam spot has gear and is free to use. 7pm - 10 pm. This Thursday.
Upper East Side.
Hey folks,
I’m a rhythm guitar player looking to connect with others in NYC to play some western swing. I’ve been primarily a bluegrass player, but swing and jazz have caught my ear lately, and I’d love to dive deeper into the style.
I’m inspired by groups like Riders in the Sky, The Western Flyers, Hot Club of Cowtown, and Asleep at the Wheel. If you’re into that classic swing vibe with a cowboy twist, let’s jam!
I’d love to find fiddlers, accordion players, or even other guitarists who share an interest in this kind of music. I’m not specializing or looking for anything too formal right now—just trying to improve and have fun playing.
If this sounds like your thing, shoot me a message, and let’s see if we can make some music happen!
hiii! Wanting to get back into performing/singing this year so figured I'd put out some feelers.
I'm an experienced stage performer & have a background in musical theater & live jazz performance. I’ve sung at a few jazz clubs around NYC the past few years. I’m looking for some instrumentalists or a band to jam with—whether it’s covering some indie, folk, classic rock, or jazz.
I’m based in East Williamsburg but happy to travel around the city. If any bands need a vocalist for jams or gigs, I’d love to join in and see where it goes. :)
I am an older guy (59) looking for people of any age to jam with. Despite my "advanced" age, I haven't played with other people consistently since college. I am intermediate to advanced intermediate, according to my guitar teacher. I do not have a place to play. I'm pretty open to all rock/alternative/metal. Some of my favorite stuff to play:
ROCK/ALT Strokes, PJ Harvey, Interpol, Radiohead, Smiths, Sonic Youth, Mark Lanegan, Sleater-Kinney, White Stripes
METAL High on Fire, Sleep. Mastodon
CLASSIC ROCK Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Bowie, The Who
I'm looking for a low-stakes situation but with committed people! Also happy to record something and share to give a sense of my playing.
Paul, in Brooklyn
I just moved to Williamsburg and started playing guitar about four months ago, so I’m still pretty new to it. I’m looking for people to jam with and learn from. I’ve been focusing mostly on modern folk, indie, and country music, but I’m open to playing any style!
hey there! my name’s ada (19F) and i’m an art student in NYC. i would love to play in a band with some old dudes because i think it would be awesome and also a fun way to learn more about playing punk. i really like the dead kennedys. i sing and play guitar but would be interested in playing bass primarily. old farts hit me up!

I’m a fairly experienced guitarist/bassist, 25m and kind of new to the city and looking for people to start an emo band with to write/play original stuff. I’m mainly into midwest emo and bands like ttng, algernon cadwallader, title fight, joyce manor, etc.
Ive got some rough sketches of songs that we could turn into demos, and id love to jam around with ideas if youve got any of your own (im also into psychedelic/experimental stuff like king gizzard so down to push the envelope stylistically)

Hi Everyone!
I am trying to get started filming here in NY. And I would love to make a music video or a short video narrative. I don't have much videos done my me to show you, as I have been mostly shooting photography, but I have basic equipment and a good eye. I would love to make something with folk musicians, blues, jazz performers, rock bands.
Check this links below. And if it meets your aesthetic, lets do something together.

hi! We’ve started a weekly jam group for women & nonbinary folks (socialization is what we’re going for here — ppl socialized and/or presenting as men get sooooo much more space and legitimacy in any musical space, so this is meant to be centering afab folks). So far we’ve been playing indie rock and some 80s rock, but we’re planning to explore a bunch of genres. It’s very low pressure, just playing to have a consistent reason to practice and build community. We have guitarists and a piano player, so we’re specifically looking for drummers, bassists, and anyone who plays anything else! Band and orchestra girlies please reach out. We need you.
29M, i play guitar for about an year now. beginner but passionate . Looking for other musicians to jam with coz im running out of creativity alone. into bands like Children of bodom, metallica, and will start a death metal band i live in a walkup on 35th apt near penn station so can host if you wanna jam. Also have my small setup of Scarlett and ableton to start recording stuff
I need to film an audition and need to play the saxophone for 30 seconds. Does anyone have one I could borrow? I would super appreciate it! I'm in Manhattan.
Hi! I'm a beginner-intermediate guitarist (leaning more towards rhythm) looking for people to play music with. I took a few years of lessons but never played live except one open mic, and would love to practice with people IRL. I gravitate towards pop rock and pop punk mainly, but any music style is ok by me as I am mainly looking for buddies. I sing a bit as well but am more comfortable with guitar.
It would be cool to jam with other queer/nb folks but I'm open to anyone! I'm based in Brooklyn and flexible in terms of location 😊
Only started playing over the summer, but played guitar for a long time and a little bit of drums so not totally a newbie, but just looking to jam with some folks.
Pretty open to most genres.
..or join a band. I’m based in manhattan, I usually play lead guitar, I also try to sing when I don’t suck and I also meddle with the bass. would love to write originals/jam with some likeminded people. my style is indie/alternative rock (think spacey jane). also open to brooklyn!!
