Hi everyone, Currently, I’m a Y1 computer science student majoring in AI studying in University of Malaya at Malaysia. I was very interested to apply to NTU before but holding back due to student fee for international student.
I would like to know is there a chance to study at NTU with scholarship by using my current GPA in my Year 1 (3.20++) and my foundation result (CGPA 4.0).
I also been actively participating in quite a lot of cocuriculum activities (AIESEC and so on) and part time jobs during my uni. Hopefully you guys can assist me, thank you.
I would like to apply something about computer science-related degree in NTU. Hopefully someone can give me some advice.
i just finished my interview and at the last question after my prep time they didn’t give me any time to answer? it just skipped to the how was the experience and i couldn’t record my answer? what should i do i’m panicking so hard
Hi! I like to find out from students who study in ntu sociology or generally other courses, what sort of time table or schedule is it like for the students? Do we have to go to school everyday? Or we can opt to be in campus only a few days a week? Because I am staying very far in East so that might determine if I’m going to do hall stay. Please share your advice or experience. Any extra info on sociology is most welcome too! Thank you so much!
Helloo, so i’ve stayed in hall for year 1 and i’ll be applying for hall next sem alone because my roommate is going for her internship next sem. If i want to apply single room, will applying a room at another hall decrease my chance of getting as compared to applying the same hall? Thankyou!
What are the most common specialisations chosen, and where can I find the specific modules for each spec online?(I can only find the name of the spec not the modules itself perhaps someone can direct me to this). I'm a prospective student so don't have access to intranet yet.
Thanks
hi im an incoming y1, and i would like to ask yall q a bit of qns 😅

HI im matricualting this august and am very worried that i wont be able to catch up after the semester starts. I wanna start revising now, especially physics but i am so lost on where to start or what to refer to. Can yall help me pleasee??
To preface this, I am a US student and my GPA is very low by NTU standards; 3.72 10th grade, 3.82 11th grade, 3.91 12th grade. However, I have received 5's on all 6 of my AP exams (Calculus BC, Physics C, Computer Science (Both), Economics (Both)), and I have also taken 4 college classes and 14 honors-level courses. I have a 1520 SAT (800M / 720E), and I am a 2x sports national medalist. I applied for CS + Economics double major - I'm currently committed to a T25 CS Uni in the US, but plan on de-committing if admitted into NTU.
Hey everyone, I’m an international student from India and I just got a 1520 on the SAT (740RW and 780 Math) . To all those who have applied to NTU using their SAT score, is this a par score or should I retake it? It would be helpful if y’all could share your scores as well.. thanks :)
Ps: I know the SAT is far from the most important part of the application but this was my first attempt and my parents are fine with me taking a second attempt if it will be helpful.
This is a table of all the NTU 1st year biz mods as I have understood from reddit and the NTU website. Missing econs as I have yet to summarise it.
Note: I am only a prospective student who has not yet matriculated, hence the info may be wrong so take it with a grain of salt. Any corrections or additional info from seniors or anyone who has more knowledge about these mods is welcome.
I've gotten an offer for Major + 2nd major in Business (International Trading). I am beyond elated and def going to accept, but it wasn't my 1st choice.
For context, I'm Poly Science student with basically no experience in Business, only know business terms from POA in Sec Sch. May I know those who have taken 2nd Major/ Minor in Business (International Trading), how is it like? any study/project/caution advice? Any experiences?
I understand that SCSE allows MPE to be reclassified as BDE if one has cleared his/her MPE requirement. Wondering if any seniors know if I only clear my MPE in Y4S2 can I then reclassify other MPE taken during Y4S2 as BDE or I have to clear my MPE requirement by end of Y4S1 before allowed to reclassify any other MPE taken in Y4S2 as BDE. Thanks
i'm an undergrad in chem engg here and i want to work in the energy space. I've met a lot of industry professionals who advised me to pursue a masters to work in the energy sector as the barrier to entry, especially in renewables is pretty high. however, due to some restrictions, I only have a year to complete my masters. i need help knowing whether it's doable or not and how does the thesis/reesearch part work for someone who's trying to complete their masters in one year. any help is appreciated!
My desired major is Computer Science I'm an Indian citizen with 94% in CBSE 12th boards I have a 1510 SAT score (720 eng, 790 math) I have some extracurriculars related to programming and speed cubing events
Do I have a shot at getting CS?
Hi,
I got accepted into my second choice even though it had the same igp as my first, and my ABA admission was purely leaning towards my first choice. I was wondering that since I have already got a response from ntu, that I wont be considered for a spot for my first choice in the second window? From what I have gathered, only those aiming for med would get notified if they are on the waitlist.
Thanks
so i just got offered bsb and would just like to know more about this double major
what is the environment like for this course? especially since it has a very small cohort
also would appreciate if any senior could share about their experience/day in the life of bsb/realistic career prospects for bsb/anything a naive applicant like me should know. thanks!!!!
On the academic schedule released by NTU, there’s a total of 3 weeks of orientation. Is it compulsory to attend all 3 weeks of orientation? Or which are the ones that are important to attend?
anyone knows when the fyp email will be out
hii I just got offered bioengineering with minor in business but I saw very few people are in this course😭 so just wondering if anyone else confirm going!!!
hi i have yet to receive an offer or rejection from ntu and i am wondering if i should go ahead to appeal since the appeal portal has opened tdy!
should i appeal to my 1st choice but i heard people were saying if you get rejected, you should appeal to other choices since your 1st choice would have already considered your application for a period of time being rejecting you.
any seniors or anybody who experienced this bfr? any advice?
HELLOOOO so i got shortlisted for interview for ntu chinese ! anyone who has went for it recently could advise me pls ><
what kind of questions do they ask?
is there essay writing ?? i fr see someone saying that they wrote essays after the interview omg
how was the ambience of the online interview....
i applied for econs and data science in ntu because it sounds interesting and fortunately i was offered it, but now that i am researching on the course, there is not much information about the course (quality of modules, student life etc.) since it is a relatively new course.
so can any seniors from ECDS or anyone who knows help me with answering some questions?
how heavy is the workload? will i have enough time to pursue two other minors? because i am interested in taking minors in psychology and entrepreneurship as well
since the cohort is very small, is everyone close to each other or at least are acquainted with one another?
how does ECDS compare to DSE in NUS?
and i have one more unrelated question regarding hall life
thank you!

Hey guys I just got offered NTU CS and have some questions in mind
How competitive is the CS programme in NTU compared to other unis like NUS, SMU and SUTD? What's the average GPA of a CS student? How tough is it to graduate with honours? How hard is it to get an A-, A or A+?
I'm also thinking of doing my exchange in Europe so I want to know how hard it is to secure a semester exchange at a university of your liking. Can I go for both the GEM Explorer and GEM discoverer programmes How many courses can I take during the exchange programme and will they be graded as pass/fail?
How much free time do CS students in NTU have and do they have time for CCAs, side projects etc?
How many courses can I S/U in NTU and do I need to bid for my major core courses too?
hello I'm planning to accept a university offer I'm not excited about due to practicality reasons but if I change my mind and reapply for undergraduate in other local unis next year, what are my chances of getting an offer?
appreciate if any seniors can share their experience or advice, thank you
As the title says, what do you guys think of it?
I got accepted into DSAI in NTU and BME in NUS. Both courses are very different from each other in terms of the skills taught, job scope and even salary. So I am conflicted on which course/school to pick. Instead of comparing them based on the salary and the prestige of the school (tbh I would choose DSAI in NTU in a heartbeat if not for its location and my preference over NUS culture), I would like to compare them based on which I am most interested in. Hence, I would like to ask for advice and also an insight of what DSAI is like and whether it suits me, and is NTU is a good school to pursue this course. I would also like to know how many times to DSAI students travel to school? Lastly, should I take the risk and study Biomed in NUS or be safe and get into DSAI?
P.S. I have also excel in Math since secondary school and Physics is pretty okay for me so both courses are in line with my academic talents.
hey, does anyone know what’s the probability of a freshman getting a room with an attached bathroom? I’ve heard that due to the price the demand might not be so high but I’ve heard otherwise since students have to earn points to get the room.
hi... has anyone with 70-75 rp and applied for nbs with ABA, gotten anything replies / offers / interviews ?? my side is quiet af and im panicking bruh since the 1st window is closing next fri;-;
