Tripped down some stairs, saved myself but not my tablet. Screen is frankly in a bad condition, the hole being quite concerning. I do have a tight budget, hopefully around 100, max 200SGD since I bought my tablet for around 400SGD, might as well buy a new tablet if the repair is more than half price.
I've looked up a few places but most are far from hall, not that I mind but I'm worried about my budget + my friend told me that some places provide poor repair services (One time their iPad cracked only one day after being repaired just by applying pressure with their fingers???). I don't think the tech store at ntu offers repair services, so I'm wondering if anyone has any specific recommendations.
If not, please do this, You may at any time request that Turnitin and its service providers delete each paper that you individually identify to us through the system administrator at your institution.
Anyone struggling/ knows how to do it and dont mind discussing it?
Hi guys!
Was wondering if anyone had experience with going on semestral exchange in y4s1 despite fyp?

Hello everyone, as the title suggests anybody interested in forming a team for the Singapore Business Case Competition. Need 4 people and currently none of my peers are interested in joining this. Or if anybody needs 1 more member in your team, do PM me. Thanks!

Anyone know what they did to "renovate" the tables?
Also anyone with fridge/aircon that didn't hide them get fined when they entered your room?
hi everyone i have a question. Background info: iβm currently in y1 staying in hall with my friend as my roomie and we want to try moving to a different hall next sem. But the problem is she maxed out her hall points while i have Noneπ’π’π and she will definitely get in but we dont know about me. My question is, if we apply to a different hall next sem together as roomies, what are the chances that we get in together with our hall point situation? And if we dont get it will we be doomed to separate forever and be assigned random roomies?πππππππππππππ

Ever since my breakup, I just completely lost my spark. My social circle has been shrinking and Iβve spent my holiday just staying at home by myself. Iβm not sure why but so many people have been ghosting me and I donβt have that many people to talk to compared to before. I used to be more extroverted but now I just sit and eat by myself. Iβve an assignment due and Iβm not even sure who to ask help fromβ¦whereas back then I couldβve easily gotten help from my friends.
This might seem silly but is there any way to make moving out of hall easier? I am stopping myself from buying things I don't really need because I realise that I have to be the one to move all of it out. I am an international student so my family can't help out and most friends don't stay in halls.
The main reason why I'm asking is because I want to buy a fridge for my room. After the entire struggle at the beginning of the sem to move in with just two luggages I don't want to go through worse. If it matters my current hall has no lift and I'm a 4'11 girl. Also I'm an Y1 so I haven't had to move out yet so not sure what to expect.
Hey everyone, Iβm doing my FYP in Bioengineering and feeling pretty overwhelmed. Just how tough is it to get an A- or B+ in engineering courses?
Is grading super strict, or is it more about meeting expectations? Do most people get a decent grade? Any idea on the percentage of students who get B+ and above?
Thanks in advance!
I heard from some people say that there is bell curve, other people say it doesn't exist and there's moderation done in a different way. What is the truth?
Am I missing something from NTULearn? The tutorial questions on Linked Lists and its expectation from lectures seems very off.
Should I be worried that I canβt do it, cos I am thinking if giving up
Update: Just finished tutorial. To my peers, FYI, we are supposed to use the functions given in the template. I wish the questions were more specific π
seen ppl on campus wearing shirts that look like official merch except it says NUT Singapore. where can i get them
Hey! So I just got news that I got accepted into NTU for the 25/26 fall semester. I'm an AI undergrad student studying in Amsterdam and was wondering if anybody had any general information or opinions on what I should do.
I know NTU is incredibly highly ranked especially for CS/AI so I'm definitely leaning towards going but was wondering if anyone had anything specific to say about quality of education/life for an exchange student. Tips are also welcome!
I've got 2 days to accept the position, so all help is appreciated!
Thanks in advance

Hi does anyone know if itβs still possible to do both susep and overseas sem exchange? I know it was possible since a year ago but i read somewhere (which i canβt find now) that ay24/25 batch onwards students can only choose susep or overseas sem exchange and canβt do bothβ¦

Hey guys, I graduated 10 years ago as an English major. I made the mistake of not selling all my books, thinking that I might still need them for reference in some future career of mine (which didn't happen of course).
Is there a way to donate them in such a way that they'd end up in the right hands? Like, I don't want them to get trashed or burned when they can help some English undergraduate or two. Or am I 10 years too late? I'm aware that the publishers tend to push out new editions every other year...
I'm not opposed to direct donations to individuals either. Use them, distribute them among your course mates or sell them, do what you will with them. I have no patience with these books anymore.
It's the first day of applications and after filling up all the various sections of the application form and after pressing the submit button, an error message like this pops up:
The requested URL /pls/webexe/adm_appl.apply was not found.
Anyone facing the same issue? I've tried re-submitting my form multiple times but to no avail.

I was conversing to my somewhat very old relatives during CNY and she asked if NTU was a Chinese-speaking school. (Don't ask me why she said that, I also dunno why she asked that). But then I started to ponder and come to think of it, maybe not much for North Spine but for South Spine, I feel like we are somehow overdoing this "Chinese culture" thing. And mostly China Chinese stuff.
We have the hive and they call the Hive "A dim sum basket looking shape". We have Yunnan Garden with a lot of Chinese sculptures and architecture like the arch and the shelter looking thing. And then we have a "Chinese Heritage Centre".
We have a stall that sells xiaolongbao, a stall that sells snail noodles(it used to be a halal stall), a stall that sells mala and the new chinese fired rice stall replacing a western stall. Even Subway became Luckin coffee. I guess that is the reason why so many people have been complaining that there is a lack of halal options for like, idk, 2020?
Like I am not concerned about integrating Chinese culture in NTU. I welcome it to be honest, especially with the Mid Autumn Festival event that happened in Yunnan Garden at that point and the CCAs that promote Chinese culture. But I wld say my biggest concern is whether we are overdoing it to the point it becomes "homogeneous" and, in this case, pushing away other cultures that exist within Singapore to the extent we almost become a part of China.
This is an opinion that may trigger people so take deep breaths after reading
Question as above essentially. I'm graduating this june 2025. If it is indoors I understand cannot but if she was to stand outside with someone is that ok? So far what i read up dogs are not allowed in dorm and sports facilities.Im just thinking the general area like on the grass etc. I think i've seen a few dogs around campus? but they might be service dogs and i can't tell. My dog is a regular dog. Thanks!
So i'm currently in y2 mainstream (direct entry), and i want to start planning my modules for specialisation. Im abit lost on how the specialisation works. So lets say I want to specialise in autonomous systems, i have to take MA4891 and 2 other mdoules in autonomous systems specialisation right?
How would the AU work? since im only allocated 6 MPE AU and each modules have 3 AU respectively. I can only take 2 MPEs under the autonomous systems specialisation. I need 3 to specialise.
