Hey everyone.

I’ve been in the area for about 4 years and used to play with my high school buddies before I moved. I’m nervous about getting back into it with other people, but I think it might be time to find some people to jam with. I’m not that great of a guitarist but I can keep the rhythm going. Lead was never my forte, so I’ve always been in the background.

I can play acoustic or electric guitar as I’ve got both with me here. Looking to meet good people to play a few songs every now and again with. I’m not looking to jump into a band or anything if the sorts. Just want to try and find my groove again (pun definitely intended) and have fun playing and making music.

We are a cover band, comprised of dudes between low 40s-mid 50s. We cover well known danceable rock songs primarily from the 90s, but with some from all decades between the 70s and now.

A local pub where we’ve played a couple of times and with who we have a great relationship asked us if we were available for NYE. This venue tends to not pay very well, as they’re just trying out bands after years of never having bands, looking to up COVID’s hit to their revenue, so we didn’t mind playing for lower than normal rates and a shorter than normal gig a couple of times.

So I’m not sure what we should be asking for a NYE rate… is there a going rate for a cover band?
