I've been experimenting to try and get more of a 1 (low) groove race at Talladega. Not easy. Tried a few track ini changes.
Interesting that increasing the ai drafting distance to 2.5 to 3.0 helped some and reduced a little of the overtaking which effected it more than other changes I made.
However on the start, double file, there's always a car or 2 or more that for some reason don't accelerate like the others and this causes the back half to slow drastically and spread the field out on lap one. I don't mind it so much but would prefer that not to happen.
Any value 2.0 or less and this doesn't happen. Is there any reason why some ai slow on restarts on higher values?
I would like to create my own racing calendar with the most beautiful tracks that can be modded in NR2003, would you have any suggestions?
For context: I tried to install NR2003 a year ago and I messed something up with the installation, and since I didn't know what to do back then, out of confusion I deleted all of the files related with NR2003 including the uninstaller and now it's stuck in my programs/apps and features and won't uninstall.
Any way to fix this?

I'm still "checking" the tracks. Found this picture in one of them. You can see how the headlights are glued on a little differently. And the grille already looks... That's an interesting idea. I should try it.
As we have reached and now surpass the 10,000 member mark, I've realized it's unrealistic for me to continue moderating this sub on my own. I have a full-time job, a family, and the obligations that come with both. I remember back in 2020, a guy posted a mediafire link to a little set of some schemes he made, more especifically this Reddick Summer texas car, Lajoie's 2020 first Talladega car and others, i recalled having them but then me who was really inexpirienced regarding saving my cars on a secondary folder, i deleted that folder and the download link got corrupted and didn't work anymore.
....So I can't download 15 tracks already. I have moved and replaced all shared folders. But nothing happens.
If this continues, I will shut down my business. Because I downloaded the tracks to ride them.Not to look at this pop-up bar:)
I've already reinstalled the game twice. I've done all the manipulations. Read all possible posts on these topics. And I instead of now I continue to work on NNC, I'm dealing with this crap. I'll check out some more tracks about a hundred or so more. I have over 400 of them in my track folder. And if some key ones won't load either. I'm not gonna take it any further.
I don't need that. This is not why I have been downloading track folder archives and files for months. To not be able to participate in the race.

Hey, everybody. Need some help in explaining how the tracks work and is there a file in the game, like “LOG”
Which would show where and why there is an error when loading a track.

I have read all possible discussions. I have downloaded and uploaded already all possible folders - /shared/.
But some tracks like ZenJotils or daytona_roadcourse are still not loaded. Other versions of these tracks work and there are no problems loading them. I need someone to help me figure out how this works. I don't think that say other versions of tracks require a different folder - /shared/.
I need some help. Because I would like to further update the files - “horizon”, using Google Map or similar services. But I don't like this problem.
And it can occur with any other track.....
I’ve found a 2007 cup mod with the CTS physics and it’s amazing. But the AI loses a lot of speed after the first round of stops. What adjustment do I make to prevent this from happening?
Hi guys! Some who subscribed to my YouTube channel might have noticed that I was missing. I regret to inform you that the channel is most likely dead. The fact is that a couple of weeks ago I had to urgently reinstall Windows, which led to the loss of data to log in to the channel. I was unable to recover the data, because I did not use my most popular email to register this channel. All this time I was trying to remember the data or restore it. I am pleased with the fact that I put the most basic things there that I wanted to convey to the community and show. I will still try to restore the channel, but the realist inside me seems to be telling me that the channel is lost... Of course I'm sad, but there's nothing I can do about it yet. Maybe I'll just create another channel if I come up with something new and interesting. In the meantime, I want to say thank you to all those who subscribed to me, there were almost a thousand people there! I am grateful to everyone, I am glad that you liked my work.
I will continue to post here, screenshots or some new developments and ideas. Maybe I can remember the data for logging into the channel and continue working on it, or maybe I'll make a new channel, or maybe I won't do anything else at all, who knows! But thanks to those 900 people who followed my work and wrote kind words in the comments! I hope I managed to somehow influence the look of your game!

AIs in this game aren’t fooking around
So I haven't attempted to replace the skybox by copy pasting in just track folders, or just the shared folder, or even both but not one attempt has worked. Any help would be great.
P.S. I even thought about unpacking the track and repacking it with these, but unfortunately I can't get WinMip to work due to a .dll issue.
Every time there’s a car in front of me in the pits I can’t seem to get around them. I just slam into their rear despite cranking my wheel all the way over. Also, while testing, it seems my turn radius is about the size of half a football field! Is this normal for nascar?
I’m playing unmodded. I have no issues driving once I’m on the track btw.

Hi so when I practice or skip directly to the race stage, my game runs fine but when I'm trying to qualify none of other cars spawn and my game freezes and altogether crashes. I'm running 120 FPS 16 GB ram
