Anyone else see a white military Boeing 757 doing low level passes in the Scranton area about 15-20 min ago? Looks like the same alternate Air Force One aircraft Biden has used a couple times coming up here.
Does anyone know of any small venues or bars with live music around Scranton/Wilkes-barre? Or possibly even some karaoke.. I’d (21f) love to meet people with similar interests and would appreciate any insight!
Discover NEPA released their holiday gift guide! I’d love to hear your favorite small businesses for Christmas gifts, especially for kids. Also looking for an independent shop with a stationery selection (recognize how niche this is but figured I’d try!)
Hey I was wondering if there are any stores that allow you try out bats before buying in the area. Any ideas?
We're an original band from Bloomsburg, looking to add some serious musicians to our sound. We have current events booked as well as about 2 hours of music already produced. We are in the age range of 30 to 35, looking for musicians close to that same range who are open to traveling for shows and practices. You can find our album "Save our Sanity" anywhere music is available, here are some direct links:

Does anyone have a recommendations on a credible vocal coach in the area?
For those of you who have left the area but are coming back for Thanksgiving, what will be the first restaurant you get food at? Whether it be pizza, wings, etc.
Looks like fun!
Hello. I am planning to move back to NEPA sometime around spring/summer 2025 more than likely Clark’s summit/Olyphant area to be exact.
I am curious about the best careers/ job opportunities where you can work your way up to make decent money. I’ve good construction and factory experience although would like to try something different.
I guess I am more so looking for advice from anyone that was able to get to the point in life where they are content with their job and it pays pretty decent based on the cost of living in the area without a college degree.
Any recommendations and advice would be greatly appreciated as I’d like to be ready to find a long term career for myself.
Thank you in advance!
If age matters, I am 30 years old.
Anyone know who will be open in the wilkes barre/ scranton area

I am looking to move my retirement from a maga investor to a neutral or left leaning manager in NEPA. Thank you. Post election I moved from shock to anger and this may ease the pain
The Christmas markets are one of my favorite things of the season! Would love to hear any in NEPA that I missed or which of these is your favorite. I believe Williamsport and the Lace Village in Scranton are both firsts this year.

My budget is about $250. The dates are the 12/13, 12/14, 12/15 -- but I'm not necessarily looking to stay somewhere, just not opposed on any of those dates.
I'm near Scranton and would drive ~3hrs.
I have been googling for hours. The closest I've come is a Russian/Turkish bath house/spa with some sketchy reviews and those cheeseball Poconos romantic getaways with heart shaped tubs. (Hilarious and not opposed, but still a bit over budget.)
Everything quickly gets to be $500, $800, $1000 if it's not a holiday inn.. Anyone have any thoughts? There was a nice Korean bath house kind of far, but they are fully nude and gender separated.
Does anyone have heating oil supplier recommendations in the southern Wayne County area?
Does anyone know where to get bags of rice coal around the Mt. Pocono area?
I’d like to better support them if confirmed they are anti-orange! Any lists we can get started?
I've had 4 different professional painters come to my house. Out of the 4, only 1 gave an estimate which was extremely high (8500 to paint 1000sqft interior). The other 3 have not responded in two weeks and are "working on it". Is this normal? Anyone know of any reliable and reasonably priced painters in the Wayne county area?
Hello! Both my parents retired recently, and though they remain socially active, its hard to get them out of the house to do anything on a reoccuring schedule anymore. For their health this worries me, so ive been thinking of getting them involved in some kind of fun class over the winter.
For my mother this is easy, shes very vocal about her interests. Unfortunately my father is less so and is more prone to suggesting hes fine just on the couch.
Wondering if anyone has any ideas for some kind of weekly class-based hobby in the area that I can get him signed up for as a holiday gift. Hes in relatively good health for a 72yo but never has been very physically active. I had an idea for something like a woodworking class, but cant seem to find anything like that closer than Philly. Really open to any ideas but know he wouldn't be into anything too sporty or artsy (probably no painting or pottery) as hes never been inclined to either.
Thanks in advance!
Hello all! I've been looking everywhere and I cannot find the answer, but what are some good trails for wheeling with road legal cars like a 4Runner or Wrangler in NEPA? TIA!
I’d like to support small and local businesses that are women owned, black owned, and/or LGBTQ owned or friendly in NEPA. Looking for suggestions or even if there’s already a list somewhere? Thanks in advance🫶
I don't care who you voted or didn't vote for. One thing we can agree on is that everyone is tired of looking at election signs. If you put out signs in street corners, go get them. Stop littering.
