Hi!
I rewatched this episode today (which I found excellent, Borin would have made a very good replacement for Gibbs) and I have difficulty understanding the implication of the last conversation between Tony and Ziva.
Tony claims that Ziva doesn't have any friends to stay and watch a movie with him on a Friday night, and she playfully replies that her date canceled. He says he does too. Ziva then seems to realize something, say something and holds back, visibly touched, or moved, or amused? In fact, I must have had trouble understanding the meaning of this scene, if anyone has an interpretation I'm interested!
I know they have the New Orleans show, but I feel that Miami would be interesting if we include various Florida Man Stories/Antics (Zombie). I just saying there are a lot of fun things they can do there in the surrounding areas. They could have been episodes in the various Museums, Stadiums, Restaurants, Surrounding Preserves like the Everglades, Reefs, and Landmarks such as Disney World, Aquariums, and Jungle Island.
I am currently on episode 14 of Season 1 of the original NCIS show. So far I am really enjoying it, but I do have a few questions.
(If any of these questions have been detailed in any other topics please feel free to link me to them. I did use the search function, but I still have these questions.)
Should I put a pause on NCIS and go and watch JAG? I figured I should ask this before I get too invested and don’t want to switch over.
what shows are in the NCIS universe and is there a guide on how to watch them? (A guide like the Chicago shows have, or the Buffy/Angel show has.) I only ask because I’ve seen shows connected to this universe that I didn’t think were. Like Scorpion, Hawaii 5.0, Mcguyver, Magnum P.I. (?).
When do their personalities get cemented? Mainly Kate and Tony. They seem to be all over the place. I also want people to stop being mean to Ducky, or at least want him to stand up for himself.
They are really it as of now. Thanks in advance for the help/info.
Does anyone know where and when NCIS and NCIS-Origins will be released in the UK?
I assume the former will be released on Disney+ as I think they still own the rights but nothing heard about the latter so I assume that will be on Paramount+ along side this Tony and Ziva series?
For me, I'm not fond of the diet Mcgee and younger Gibbs... They just seem off. And Franks gives off this weird Burt Reynolds/Smokey & The Bandit vibe... I kinda dig it. Lala and Tish are also solid characters imo.
But here's hoping they fix the damn lighting. I'm all for tasteful lighting, but this is silly. I gotta max the brightness on my phone just to be able to see anything. Its too damn dark.
All in all so far, 8/10 on the show. Not too bad.
why they chose to have troian bellisaro’s first appearance on NCIS be as an unknown girl in mcgee’s apartment in just an oversized shirt (presumably his MIT shirt even), I’ll never know.
just rewatched the clip in red cell 2x20, and even how they chose to shoot her initial appearance is so weird, starting with a slow shot of her legs.
I’d get the “mysterious woman in his apartment who turns out to be his sister” trope if she wasn’t being played by his actual step-sister.
still so happy to see cote and michael back in the ncis universe and validated that they too hold tiva in high regard.
any cute moments or juicy tidbits from the podcast I can look forward to? I’m just starting the ep with rocky carroll
Elderly corporate executive who hasn't been seen in over a year. Please tell me he's not in a coma and being kept alive somewhere while others use his name and money to do nefarious things. This show has already done that bit twice.
Starting the next episode now...
I thought it was fr gonna suck because the creators are running out of ideas but the new gibbs lore is fye and they player motley crue in the first episode thats so fucking badass. Dude loves jack daniels and the crew hes so based for that ong no cap.
Ever since McGee started rocking the goatee I kid you not I cannot take him seriously 😭😭😂 and I feel like his acting got worse once Tony left
One of my favorites.
Loved Charles Durning in this episode.
I’d love to see JAG spun back out as a standalone series. Maybe a limited 10 episode streaming only series on paramount+ (seemed to work for Seal team).
A now Admiral Bud Robert’s is the JAG overseeing a young crew of lawyers. Could be one overarching case for the season.
Maybe a now Lt Cmdr Maddy Grace was charged with something and admiral Rabb who is now either deputy CNO or SecNav asks Mac to defend her as a civilian.
Along the way he butts up against the ethical line for being involved and bud is conflicted about the whole thing but has to keep his young and overly eager attorneys going
Could start with an NCIS episode nod early in a season where they are investigating an arson investigation at Leavenworth that killed a bunch of inmates. Mention in passing one of them was Clark Palmer.
Then at the end Mac with the help of a favor called in from now director of homeland Webb they discover Palmer set Maddy up still holding a grudge
In Origins there are several scenes of Gibb’s home near his job in Pendleton that he refuses to sell because that’s where he lived with Shannon & Kelly. And in this week’s episode he gave the little girl a stuffed animal that had belonged to Kelly. I assume he went to his house and fetched it
But in NCIS he lives in a house hear the Navy Yard that was where he lived with Shannon & Kelly and Kelly and her friend buried the time capsule in the back yard.
Am I missing something or is this a plot hole?
Just seeing S10 E9 and noticed that you can see an arm from the film crew at the bottom left corner. Just found it funny. Its my first self spottet crew man in a series/movie
Edit: its E9 not E7
Light spoilers for those who hasn't watched it. Anwyays, the dialog in this episode made me..cringe. Especially towards the end when they were catching the suspect in the forest it just made me cringe so so hard. You would have to watch it to understand-but here's an example. The girl says: "NCIS warned me this would happened. The criminal says: "Yeah, maybe you should've listened to the good guys." Girl says: "Who says I didn't." And Agent Knight yells out NCIS while pointing a gun at the suspect. I know, maybe it doesn't sound cringey on paper but...on the episode it was really..really cringe.
Been catching up on NCIS started from the beginning and just finished watching the end of season 18. Got to say if that’s the ending for gibbs it was a pretty poor storyline for him to go especially with him being in it from the beginning maybe more gets said in S19. Unless it was COVID reasons or something else it’s quite a disservice for his character
Who’s your favorite ?
OMG the latest eposide of orgins ans Millie with Gibbs ..I swear I didn't cry!
I haven't paid much attention to the last few years unless there was a special event like Ducky's memorial. However, in anticipation of more TIVA references and waiting for McGee to be promoted, I've been watching the new season. What makes me happy in it? Tony's voodoo doll is still pinned to McGee's bulletin board. That's so sweet.
I’m watching the series for the first time and really enjoying it. I’m on season 2 and was bewildered to open Paramount to find most of the season gone. Just my luck it seems to be the only season missing. Anyone know why this could be?
So I’ve restarted watching the show from the beginning since Origins started, and I finished season 1 and started the season 2 premiere last night. I tried to continue watching today, but all except for the season 2 finale seems to be gone from Paramount+.
Any ideas? Is this just some weird glitch that if I give it a bit will correct? I’ve tried restarting the app and my phone. Haven’t tried to see if the episodes are still on the AppleTV version of the app.
In the first episode, Anthony DiNozzo makes a point of explaining to Caitlin Todd why NCIS makes crime scene sketches and not just photos. From episode 2 on, it's basically all photos, all the time.
Was this every addressed within the show?
