Which one is better for an i3 12th gen? Acer Aspire Lite AL14-51M-364B VS Lenovo IdeaPad Slim3i-15IAU7 (82RK00WKP) VS Huawei MateBook D14 BE-YTFZ-3821L1
Please help me… I am buying a laptop for basic home use and will possibly be starting up an online sales business.
I’ve read online that some minimums for a decently functioning laptop are 8gb RAM, i5 processor or better and 200+gb storage. Am I missing anything critical as far as performance? I do not game much so I don’t think I need a graphics card.
I’m not looking to spend over $400 on this laptop. Anyone have any recommendations on devices that fit my budget new?
Not afraid of refurbished or used either, not sure if that is a bad idea. Would take recs on good places to start that search if it’d be worth it.
Thanks all!
Hello everyone,
I am an Belgian 18 year old that will be a future student at the university of KU Leuven in Belgium. I'm starting my first bachelor around the 20th of September. My study, as the title suggests, will be in engineering sciences with a future view of going into chemical and materials engineering. Below the laptop questionnaire:

Situated in Belgium, with a budget of around €1000, willing to go to €1100 if there is a really good alternative worth the extra €100.
Preferably refurbished laptops directly from the manufacture if a great one is found.

I am definitely not looking for the thinnest of the thinnest laptop. For me performance is the most important aspect yet I will have to take it onto the train together with my bike to campus. So it can be a bit on the heavier site yet keep it comfortable for use on the train.
around 15 inch
Would maybe like to install Kerbal Space Program 1 on it (with possible mods)
CAD will also be used to a certain extend yet I assume the laptop specifications mentioned above will suffice.
Would maybe like to install Kerbal Space Program 1 on it (with possible mods). Definitely not looking to play on high end settings. (45-60FPS is more than fine)
* Good keyboard
* Reliable build quality
* touch-screen is possible yet not necessary
* NO need for finger-print reader or optical drive.
* Silent fans would be pleasant
* A sturdy one is preferred, don't want to constantly be in the fear of damaging.
Thanks in advance everyone!
TLDR; Scroll down to find a list of laptops under $500 that support PCIE Gen 4 NVME SSD.
I've been shopping around the last week to find an a very fast, well built, reasonably lightweight, 14" laptop that supports PCIE Gen 4 NVME SSD's. Typically the manufacture's that don't cheap out on the motherboard and support Gen 4 drives also have great other specs. My budget was $500, but $400 was my goal.

So I received a Dell Latitude E5470 laptop recently. I want to know if these upgrades would be compatible (and if there are better/more affordable alternatives). I wish to run Windows 11 and mostly use it as a daily driver laptop for work and productivity.

Thank you in advance!
Trying to find a laptop for video editing, art and 3d modelling software so anything with high storage, colour accurate displays (not bothered about size) and a pretty good core is needed.
Many other creatives use MacBook Pros and review them well which is why I'm considering it, just looking at alternatives that may be cheaper/more suited to me.
At the moment I'm using a MacBook Air 2017 that hasn't been updated since it was bought and runs quite hot so my standards are a bit low.
Hi!
I own a Lenovo ThinkBook 16 G6 (21KH0017MX) with a WD PC SN740 SDDPMQD-512G-1101 M.2 2242 NVMe SSD in it. I’ve just purchased the Samsung 990 Pro SSD - 2TB to use in the second slot, but then it dawned upon me:
Should I reinstall Windows on the new drive, and use that as the OS-drive?
First of all, is it possible in a pre-built laptop from Lenovo to do that? Like install Windows with the Media Creation Tool, if you don’t have a product key (since it came with the laptop)?
Second of all, will there be any noticeable differences in day-to-day life? I’m currently solely using the laptop for music production - so I planned on using the extra storage to load my virtual instruments (VSTs) and save my recordings, while keeping anything else on my OS-drive (programs, plugins etc.)
Any thoughts/opinions on the matter would be deeply appreciated!
I am looking for something relatively cheap but still worth the money that I can edit music, and videos with, but looking for it not to be a limited os like chromebooks.
Possibly able to handle low level gaming, like steam games, fallout 1&2, project zomboid.
Hey everyone. I recently bought a used MSI Vector GP66 (RTX 3070TI and 16GB RAM). I wanted to play Valorant, but since it was Windows 11, I had to enable Secure Boot and started playing. After few days, I started getting random crashes in mid-game with Blue Screen saying "Clock Watchdog Timeout Error" and 0% completed (it is stuck at 0). I unplug everything including my charger and after 10 minutes I keep pressing power button and it shuts down then I can power on again. I start playing and play few matches then crash and then cycle gets repeated. It did not happen in other games so far. I am really desperate for any solution so I appreciate any help I can get.
Macbook pro 9,2 I have no idea or whatsoever about laptop but my mom is giving her used laptop and I thought its better than nothing? Can you share your thoughts about this laptop? If it can be used for work up to present now?

In the market for a new beefy laptop. Prime day is coming up on 7/16 - does anyone have experience whether or not there are great laptop deals on Prime Day?
If we’re talking like, $100 off a $1200 laptop then it’s not worth it to me to wait for the sale, but if we’re talking major deals then I’m interested.
I’m also looking for a beefy midrange laptop, so if past years they only put up low end laptops for sale, that’s also not worth it to me.
Obviously no one can predict the sales, but curious if anyone has experience from previous years.
