Hi, I am (in usa) looking to upgrade to a triumph. Do you have any tips/success stories for negotiating last year's models? Every dealership websites are only showing msrp and when I called they all says that triumph bars them from saying anything below msrp. Appreciate your personal experience/anecdotes.

How come there's nobody here, I would think this place would be filled with Q's, how to's, comparisons. MT-07 2019 price breakdown
The guy messed up on the addition, putting the price of a 2020 model (I think). Great discount but a few items come to mind.
Still a great price. Thoughts?
Hey guys, I was looking at a 2009 Honda Shadow 750cc with 1,481 miles on it. The guy selling it has it posted for $4500, way higher than the typical listing price but I'm assuming that's because of the really low miles. The posting says it's been listed for 5 weeks now and I'm guessing he might be willing to go down in price since it's been sitting for a while.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
I was driving around in the countryside with a friend and found a red 1980 Honda Twinstar for $600 OBO. Says it runs and rides, looked to be in decent condition. Are there any specific things I should be wary of or double check? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Hello everyone, as the title says I'm planning on getting my first motorcycle mostly to go around the city for the ease of movement and to not depend on the times of public transport even tho it works pretty decently here. Sometimes it would be used to go on the highway to nearby towns (not more than 60 miles or so).
For background I'm living in Valencia, Spain.
My budget won't go over 2200€ for sure and I know that limits me a lot but I'm not expecting to buy a Harley (although I wouldn't mind if I could). I've been eyeing a Spanish motorcycle company called Macbor, specially this model: https://www.macbor.com/moto-rockster-m-4-es
But as I have no clue about motorcycles I don't know if for the price it's worth it, if I should get a different brand that could go for the same and is better. Don't really care if it's a big brand bike (Yamaha, Suzuki, etc) Just that it's reliable. For style, as said before if I could I would go for a Harley straight away (yes I know, very typical) but I can't so I want something similar in style or at least something that's looks less like a racing bike and more to just be around.
I'm sorry if the post is just too vague, I don't know much about motorcycles beyond what any person that just looks around for a while. Thanks in advance for any help!
Looking to purchase the above bike for $1k.
The owner mentioned the following: it starts and idles, it shifts through the gears, the brake calipers are off it so you’ll have to put them back on I have new pads also and some other new in box parts, it def can use a carb clean. And the tires are bad but I have one good rear tire you can have
Is this a good price for the upgrades needed as well as a good first bike for riding locally around town?
Thanks!
Hi r/MotorcyclePricing,
I'd love to hear opinions on possible first bike options, with the following limiting conditions. I'm finding it hard to identify models that check all or most of these boxes:
Hopefully this isn't too restrictive. Very appreciative of the hive-mind help.
Ninja 1000 with 11,851 miles for $6,199 sales price at dealership and 7,649 otd with tax, tag, title. Is this a fair price?
I'm looking at a barely used (~400mi) 2019 Kawasaki Z400 in southern California. It has frame sliders installed, I guess that's worth ~$200. The private seller is offering at $4600, what's a reasonable price point for it?
In good condition with upgraded LED lights and handlebar. Have originals as well as highway bar, saddle bags, and Clymer manual.
Maintenance done last season. New battery.
Minor blemishes.
Hi guys!
I'm doing an academic project on motorcycle purchase behavior and brand perception. I think users of this sub would be a good fit for me to gather some responses, so I thought I'd share the link for answers below. Hope I'm not breaking any sub rules!
Any response is much appreciated! It shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes to fill.

I am trying to sell my yamaha r3 2019 with less than 1000 miles on it. I dropped it once, only cosmetic damage occurred, but that had been fixed. How much would you say i can sell it for? I bought it new last august for $5300.
The only problem is... It was an MSF course bike. do yall think that Hondas reliability will hold true? or should i avoid this one. I haven't seen the bike in person yet.
I'm looking at a new (2019) Triumph Street Twin, which comes out to $11,000 OTD. Does this sound like a reasonable price? This seems a bit high to me, especially since it includes the $750 rebate from Triumph.
I'm looking to pick up an MT-09. I live in the american northeast, so the riding season is pretty much over, but a dealer near me is selling 2019 models brand new for $7490 (MSRP $8999). I was planning to wait until Feb/Mar of next year so I don't buy a bike just to put it in the garage all winter, but now I'm a little worried that I won't be able to find a deal this good again.
I have only bought a couple bikes before, so I don't have much reference for if this is an insane markdown or just usual cuts to sell off the last of this years model.
What are your thoughts on this bike?

I have a 2016 FZ 07, I just turned 1000 miles on it. Its a great bike, but it doesn't exactly do everything I want it to do. It doesn't do backroads as well as I want, its a little more street oriented (forward riding position and terrible suspension for dirt roads). Maybe I pick this bike up, ride it and see which one I like more and sell the one I don't like as much.
I'm looking for a clutch cable for a Cagiva Raptor 1000 any info on a possible replacement or where I can get my hands on one?
Recently purchased a '19 mt09. Looking for a more comfy seat. I've heard that the Yamaha Comfort Saddle is a really good option, however it seems to be out of stock everywhere. Any other budget friendly seat options out there?
This is in NYC, if location matters for pricing. Is this a fair price? I'm new to motorcycles, and KBB says listing price would be $6,140 and trade in is $4,230. Given that it has so many miles, I feel like it should be priced a little bit lower, but like I said, I'm quite new to motorcycles. What do you guys think?

I recently purchased a 2019 MT-07. In the negotiation I brought up the Yamaha Customer Cash listed on yamaha's website. My sales guy said that my otd price included the customer cash. However, looking back over the po from last weekend, I don't see it indicated anywhere the $300 customer cash. Does anyone know how this promotion works?
Thanks in advance,
B
Anyone here pick up a 2019 Yamaha MT-07 in Washington state? What was your out the-door price?
I’ve tried googling people’s OTD price and it ranges from $6300 - $8200. The lesser prices being in NJ, NY, MA, VA, and the higher end being AZ, CA, and NV. Obviously 6.3K would be an ideal price, but I’d like to know what people in WA paid otd on average.
Thanks in advance,
B
Hi all,
I'm currently in the market for a street bike after riding dirt bikes for about 12yrs. I'm really liking the new MT-07 or a used FZ-07. I live in WA state and riding is a seasonal sport. I've seen some 2016 FZ-07 with less than 5k miles on them for around $5.5K, but on the flip side a new MT-07 retails at about $7.5K MSRP and comes with a 1yr manufacturer warranty. My questions are:
Given that the previous rider wasn't an adrenaline seeking throttle junkie, what should I expect to pay for a used FZ-07 with decent miles?
How much has someone purchased a new MT-07 for? Did you pay MSRP, or how far down were you able to negotiate the OTD price?
Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone, I'm looking at this 2015 Honda CB500F as a city and commuter bike. The owner listed the bike for $3500. It comes with, new tires ( less than 100 miles), just serviced, oil, oil filter, and air filter aftermarket levers, and a slip on exhaust. All original OEM equipment.
What do you guys think? Should I start off on this? If you guys have any insight motorcycle insurance let me know.
Thanks
Hey everyone. I'll be a first time rider once I start MSF courses soon. Already have my permit. I'm looking for something in the >$2,000 range. Don't need something shiny or fancy, just something I can learn on and enjoy riding. I prefer comfort and enjoy the "laid back" look, so I've been looking for cruisers, or similar models, specifically.
I've been browsing CL and FB Marketplace and came across this bike: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/418444605652679/?ref=messenger_banner
It certainly fits my preference in looks. But, I'm scared that a bike this old will come with extensive caveats. The seller said the carbs need cleaning, which he would do and sell for $1500. If I didn't want them cleaned, he'd drop the price to $1300. Not sure if that's a normal negotiation tactic, and being new to all this, I'm hoping you guys can provide some insight. Is this a good bike for a first timer with a limited budget?
I was originally looking into a Honda Rebel 500 since I'm a beginner and I heard it was a good bike to start with that was over 250cc. I came across someone selling a 2010 Street Triple with ~12,200 miles on it. Since I'm new to the world of motorcycles, I was hoping you could help me figure out if this is a fair price for the motorcycle and if you recommend it for a beginner. I purchased a report on the VIN from AutoCheck and it looks all clear except for a lien from back in 2011 but seems to be clear now.
I am located in Southern California
Thanks and any input is appreciated.
