Hey fellow Guzzi peeps! I just washed my bike, winter is coming to Sweden soon, lots of leaves and rain so haven't ridden in 30 days :( I was wondering about storage, as you can see it's in a garage that's quite warm, but not really house temperature. Should keep it in a depot motorcycle stand oct-april?
I got 98 octane gas in it now, need any fuel stabilaser? Also, it didn't reach 1500km so they wouldn't take it into service, i think it's at 1300ish now.. Any other suggestions? Covers? It gets quite dusty in the garage since it's like 30 cars in there so I think that's a given. I'll also remove the battery and charge it during the dark days of no MC riding :( Best regards / Ralph-dog
I’ve only been riding for about a year and recently traded up to one of the ‘23 stone special editions.
It’s pretty dusty from when I was sweeping out my garage, so I want to give it a good wash before winter storage but I’ve never washed a bike before.
What’s the best way to go about it? Is there anywhere I absolutely shouldn’t get soap and water, or is it mostly fine since it’s built to handle the elements.
I was thinking of finding a “wash it yourself” place with the all in one power washer wand. I do have a driveway though & can wash it at home if that might be better recommended, I’m just trying to avoid swirling in any dirt or dust into the nice paint, or ruining the seat with soap or scrubbing.
Thanks Clan for any advice or tips you share with me!
Great
Yep, after selling my California 1400 last year, I've got the MG itch again. My criteria are:
I'm thinking the Griso, v11, or late model v7-850. The v85tt is also nice, but I already have a Triumph Scrambler for dirt roads and a BMW touring bike for that need. Yes, I realize I could replace both with the v85tt, but don't want to get rid of them yet.
I'd like to be able to include the v9 roamer, but that creased gas tank hits my knees wrong.
I do all my own wrenching and prefer used bikes over dealer markups. My default thought is the v7 since there will be the most buying options and it's still in production.
Any thoughts from the cogniscenti?
Beautiful day for a ride
Merging back on to state highway 3 in Wanganui this morning and what should be beside me but a V11 Ballabio, looked like a 2004 but I didn't get much of a look as I was focused on traffic. I have a 2003, what are the odds for a 600 odd run motorcycle, that 2 of them would be in Wanganui at the same place/ time.

Hey all. I'm having trouble getting a valuation for my 2023 v85 TT Guardia D'Onore. I would like to ask a fair market price to sell it. I am having a lot of trouble getting a simple valuation online. Kbb doesn't have MG as a brand. Can y'all help? No scratches, never dropped. It has 1500 miles, first service, headlight protector, pannier frames and soft bags (it does not have the MG panniers because the dealer didn't provide them)
Hello everyone. I’m asking this question here because I’d like to buy these pipes for my Moto Guzzi V7S and figured somebody may have bought them in the past. My question is about the exclaimer at the bottom of their description of their product that states, “Non-public highway use ONLY -- not road legal or homologated.” I interpret this as not having cats inside them, which is fine since I have some placed in my manifold portion. However am I reading this wrong? Like the “Transmission/Final Drive” translation? These are a lot of money and I don’t want to make a mistake here. Please help and thank you.
Hey all
I’m considering buying a V7 stone for my A2 license (65hp version), but I don’t know whether or not the shaft drive power loss will make it a suboptimal choice since we’re restricted to 48hp.
Thus, I just want to hear if anybody has an idea of how much power is losed vis the shaft drive.
I’m asking since I’ve heard some mixed answers online to the extend of this effect.
Thank you all :)
I just bought a 2019 MG California 1400 and am looking for a 2 places seat with driver only backrest. I saw Corbin products that seem to be very nice, but quite expensive. Not much second-hand options on ebay. Do you know any alternatives or second-hand websites where looking for?
Anybody have any experiences with the Agostini AMV7850SPVNE5, which are I believe (despite the description) are their 'long' pipes.
I'm trying to figure out if I need to order the Catalyst to achieve that overall length and these are the certed shorts with the catalyst, or if there is a blanking pipe in the kit and they are exactly what I need.
Background: I'm trying to get the end as far back as possible under my bags, to protect them, maybe that's unnecessary. I'd get the Mistral longs which I really prefer the looks of, but they are quite a bit louder as far as I can tell and I go to work at 5:30AM. A Powergate is going to come along with them.
For anyone pondering the MG solo seat for their V7, here’s a hearty endorsement: It’s more firm than the stock seat but that’s a good thing: After 250 miles in southern Arizona, no interstates but long stretches of state routes up to 75mph, no discomfort whatsoever. Favorite mod yet. And (opinion alert) it suits the look of the bike better than the stock seat. No regrets.
