Hello Guzzi experts! I need your help with V85TT that I am trying to bring back to life after crash. This is practically new 2022 machine. I have the fork and cockpit removed. I am trying to start the engine and this is what is happening:
Main 30 amp fuse keeps blowing as I connect the battery.
With main fuse blown, ignition off, the fuel pump keeps running continuously.
I suspect pump relay is stuck closed and something is causing short. Fall sensor? TY!
Hello everyone. I just brought my v85tt centenario in used condition. She looks good, sounds good, the only problem after some research I made is that my bike supposed to be released in 2021(centenario) and mine was released on October 2020. Also my motorcycle is supposed to have a custom mode and mine doesn't have any at all. Can someone please help me find out what's going on?
Hi,
Question about the Mistral exhaust for Moto Guzzi
I have a Moto Guzzi with a Mistral exhaust (this one: https://www.mistralspecialparts.it/en/product/conical-exhausts-moto-guzzi-v11/ ).
My problem is that I can’t remove the DB killer. Has anyone else encountered this issue?
The DB killer looks like this:
https://images.sd-tec.de/300038156_s.png
And the screw is a Torx Security type:

The screw is stuck. I’ve tried WD40 and heating the exhaust.
Am I doing something wrong? Doesn’t this screw just come off like any regular screw?
I'm thankful for the opportunity to own this machine, ride with friends and have the free time to ride, even if it's to and from work!
Hey yall,
I want to get into the MG brand. I have yet to go for a test ride but wanted to hear from those of you with some experience with both these models.
I live in Socal and I commute 120 miles a day, 60 miles one way. Traffic is very heavy and I spend most of my time lanesplitting which is legal here. The later portion of my commute frees up and average freeway speeds is around 80mph.
On paper, the V100 seems like the bike to get but the heart wants the V7. I love the simplicity of the V7 and feel more confident doing big miles on a proven platform over the new V100. Plus, based on my youtube research, the v7 sounds so much nicer with some aftermarket pipes than the V100. I also suspect that ease maintenance and cost favors the V7.
Am I crazy? Should I shoot for the V100? What would you do in my position?
Where should I be looking for info about demo days? Im interested in the brand but have no experience in them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
Would anybody know of a site that sells them?preferably Black Friday or cyber Monday deals
Has anybody tried this?
Ora the GIVI backseat for the V7. I can’t understand from the photo if simply it clamps on the backpacker support. And is it compatible with the original MG support? I don’t want something fixed but only to be used time to time when having my special passenger.
I have looked all up and down this reddit but can’t find anyone recommending a seat that has one? Is it really true no one has ever built one before? Because that would suck. Thank you all.
Anyone selling a guzzitech V7ii muffler ? Not the stubby.
Usa
I’m kinda wondering is this is an advantage when carving up the twisties or track racing. Thank you!
Hi everybody! I've been looking for a used Guzzi V7. Since I live in Italy, it's quite easy to find plenty of them, in different colours and versions. I would love to put my hands on a 850 as I heard that it's the definitive experience for a V7. My problem is that I'm looking for a specific look and it seems like I will have some troubles finding the best solution to fit all my criteria.
I love the look of the V7 Stone (especially in green) but I hate hate hate the new digital speedometer and the new eagle shaped led headlight. The V7 special comes with both the speedometer and the headlight that I'd go for 100%, but I don't like all the rest: the bicolour paint and all that crome details.
I'd like to be able to either change the speedometer and the headlight on the 850 Stone (which as far as I know seems impossible) or buy the 850 Special and somehow sand and paint the crome parts (I'm afraid this would be too expensive).
The V7 III Stone in green represents exactly the look I want to achieve basically, but I'm afraid I would feel disappointed trading look for all the upgrades that comes with the mkIV :(
What I'm asking you is any kind of advice, suggestion, opinion, that will help me decide which path to go for or what to sacrifice, and if any of you made any similar customisation to their V7.
Thank you so much!!
Just noticed this notch out of the clutch handle on my 21 v7. Am I just noticing this after 3 years or someone try to cut the end off?
Man, I feel like an idiot. This is the third question in three days in this subreddit...
I have a v7 850 Special and would like to mount some bar-end mirrors. I have taken off the bar end weights today to check what I need and have seen that the inner part with the thread comes out a bit, about 4-5mm, I guess. Now I wanted to check how to mount bar end mirrors f.e. from Highsider or motogadget, but can't really find a fitting adapter. Even the Guzzi adapter from Highsider, doesn't seem to fit the V7 850 model. It can't be that hard, right?! I mean, I just want some mirrors! The only thing I've seen are adapters for Kawasakis, that seem to have an opening for an outcoming tube with the thread, might that work?
I recently bought a V7 850 Special. On the last bike I owned I had a Heel-Toe-Shifter and really liked it. Does anyone know if there is one for the V7 850?
Hello there.
I've been looking around and was initially planning on getting the Mistral Short Silencers for my V7 850 Special Edition but I just found a brand called Ironhead for about £300 cheaper and was wondering if anyone had experience with these?
I've tried searching for sound videos or reviews but honestly can't find anything.

I was bought a used v7 850 Special and was able to take it home today. Since I do plan to use it for commuting and dislike backpacks while riding I do need good panniers that I can also use as a messenger bag. The Legacy ones from HB are very expencive, so I am looking for alternatives. Can anyonr help me?
Here is a picture of my Guzzi: https://imgur.com/a/terfpGe
Lovely bike... However, I just started looking into next years touring plans (my first real season, only got to drive a couple hours this year) and realized that most saddlebags are installed using the rear mudguard. Since my bike has been slightly customized, the mudguard is missing and that option of installing bags along with it.
Now I know of the tank bags, but besides that I am a little helpless on what my options are when it comes to transporting my stuff on my bike... Glad for every help I can get.
In September, I made a post asking for advice on whether or not to buy it as my first bike. In the end, you convinced me! It was a great choice, a fantastic bike—I love it.
There's just one small problem that not even the mechanics have been able to fix: the fuel reserve light doesn't come on. They replaced the whole part because it was an 'electronic' issue. Now, the light turns on when I start the bike, but once again, I ran out of fuel without it lighting up. I hope they've checked the float and similar components, as those are mechanical. (It's not a real problem for me).
Thank you so much!
Might be stupid question, but I am wondering how does V85TT compare to 2012-2019 Triumph Tiger 800. Tiger 800 is my daily commute bike, and has plenty of power for me and excellent ergos. I am looking for second, shaft drive bike for cross country ride and V85 looks very appealing and affordable. Nearest Guzzi dealer is 5 hours away, so I can’t really schedule test ride. I know air cooled engine is less efficient that same volume water cooled. So my concern is that v85 will feel underpowered. I guess my question is: if you own/owned both bikes, how would you compare them?
