I recently picked up my first Moto Guzzi, a used 2020 V7 III S. Love the character of the bike and the limited edition package. But I’m a bit cheap and don’t want to spend $500-1000 on slip ons for it. I found these online that are a direct fit for 2008-2018 models and the manufacturer of the slip ons doesn’t have any specs for any model past 2108. Does anyone here know if these will fit a 2020? So I bought a used Mandello with 3300km on the clock. When I did the test ride everything seemed to be ok and the previous ownder did the 1st inspection at 1250km so I tought there is nothing to worry about. But now the brakelight seems to be always on. Or at least there is no change when I activate the front or rear brake. Tested in multiple situations to see if I am just dumb, but wether the engine is running or not, there is no change in the rear light intensity.

Everything else is running fine and I enjoyed the few rides that I had so far but without a functioning rearlight I wouldn't drive right now.

Checked for the obvious things like loose cables or a fuse but I couldn't spot anything. There are also no error messages on the dash when I turn on the bike and the microswitch on the rear brake also seems ok. On the fron lever I couldn't see any switch so I guess the signal for the front brake comes from somewhere else?

The only thing I noticed was that the battery was low, but when I charged it there was no difference. Did this occur to someone else and was there an easy to fix or do I have to go to dealer so they can check? I am able to do basic maintenence but as beautiful as the bike is, its a driving computer and I am worried of doing even more damage by looking for mistakes :D

Like I said everything beside that is running just fine. Any advice or help appreciated.

I’ve always loved the Moto Guzzi Griso ever since I first laid my eyes on it and recently, I found a listing for a beautiful Griso 850 - 2006 in a city that’s (almost) nearby. I’m wondering if it could be a good deal or a potential money pit for repairs.

The bike in question has 51,000 km on it and doesn’t seem to have any major aesthetic flaws. The seller wasn’t very forthcoming when I messaged him about the bike’s condition and any necessary work. He simply said, “The bike is fine, you can come and test it.”

An important detail: the price is only €3000, negotiable. Suspiciously convenient or maybe he wants to sell fast?

Obviously, I would need to see it in person, but I’m not very knowledgeable about mechanics. So, I’m asking you: with this mileage, do you think it’s worth it, or should I save myself the trip and forget about it?

Went for a nice fall ride today. The leaves aren't in their full autumn glory yet, but it felt great to get out and carve some nice canyon roads!

Great news for those of you with the Moto Guzzi V7 850 Euro5! A new OEM tune has just been released at dealerships as part of the Fall 2024 update. The tune dramatically smooths out the jerky power delivery between 2,000 and 3,800 RPM.

I had mine done recently, and the difference is night and day – the power delivery is super smooth now, no more jerky response!

Even better, it’s covered under warranty, so no hassle or extra cost. You can get it done for free during your regular service (oil change, etc.). If you’ve been dealing with that low-end jerkiness, I highly recommend booking your appointment ASAP.

Took a 50 mile ride to hike 7 more. First post here, about a month in since I picked up this V9 Bobber.

Ever since the V100 came out I fell in love and finally managed to find a good offer for a used one. A bit overwelmed by all the options but excited and hoping for some nice weather in the next days. Any tips or recommendations what I should change/adjust or look out for?

So I've been having fun for the last few months on the V85TT, it's such a comfortable bike, fun to ride, and the panniers are *so* good for shopping, etc.

But I've been neglecting the LeMans 😞 so this morning I took it for a spin. Off to the garage for fresh fuel, check tyre pressure, etc. I hadn't even started it for months, but the Lithium battery was fine, no hesitation at all.

Holy hell there's a world of difference. Both 850cc or near enough, but one is all modern and civilised, and the other is so raw and gutsy. The LeMans, once it's properly warmed up, would leave the V85 in the rearview mirror. It feels like a jockey on a race horse, you're perched on top of this noisy, powerful machine. "We're doing this my way, hang on and control me if you can" kind of thing.

Some of the characteristics on the older bike are difficult to describe, e.g. the suspension is not comfortable at all, you feel every bump and ripple - but it stays on track. Hitting a bump while leaned over in a corner, yeah, you'll feel it alright, but the bike barely shakes its head. The throttle response is fantastic - once it's warmed up properly. Until then it coughs and chokes if you crack it open too quickly. The gearbox is quirky, but that could be age and wear & tear. But if you pre-load the shifter before using the clutch, it clicks in without a crunch. It's got K&N filters, so the induction noise is glorious, and combined with the barely-there baffles in the exhaust, it's such a glorious noise. One must be discreet around other people though, and only open it up on the open road. Don't want to be mistaken for one of *those* riders 😂

Anyway, if you've never ridden a LeMans, and you get the chance, do it. You may or may not like it, but you'll never forget it.

My first Guzzi, 2023 V7 Stone, first ride yesterday. Buzzards Bay, Cape Cod

Long story short. I was going to replace the stock Pirellis on my V100 with more of the same. Made a service appointment at the dealership, but when I arrived the Pirellis were on backorder. Had to go with the new Michelin Road 6. They gave me a discount and put a 190 on the rear instead of a 195. These are THE BEST TIRES IN THE UNIVERSE! The bike feels completely different like a cheat code has been unlocked. Easier to ride in every situation. I will never go back.

So I took my 2019 v7 out after about a week of sitting and noticed it was very jerky in the lower revs. I found a place to stop and turned traction control off (it was in mgct 1) which seemed to solve my issues. My question is what could be causing this? This motorcycle is new to me ( had it about two months) but have always ridden it with it in mgct 1 and had no issues before.

It was the tire pressure. Filled up both tires and the issue was solved.

I live in NJ USA and the Motorcycle shops by me won’t touch it. I even call a Moto Guzzi dealer and they said too old. So I need someone that can work on a vintage bike. Any leads would be appreciated. Thx.

First Guzzi, First bike, I am so stoked about this. Made a hell of a deal, it has been to the guzzi shop at lake como every year, only 4000 km on it so far, basically brand new… so so lucky

Just a quick thank you to those who gave me advice on this purchase. Snagged this beauty with barely 1k miles on it. Makes my previous bikes feel like toys! I can't imagine ever parting with it now. I was told it looked like I stole it having it in the back of my beat up old Ford.

Not my first Italian bike, but my first Guzzi. ‘16, 6500 miles on it.

I would really like to own an ex-Polizia or Carabinieri Guzzi. In light or dark blue, with its big windshields and so on. They have an aura of authenticity and Italian flair around them and simply look cool.
