I'm totally new to commissioning motion graphics. I need a short explainer video for my website, nothing too fancy, but definitely professional looking. I've reached out to a few freelancers and gotten quotes ranging from a few hundred dollars to several thousand. Honestly, I'm kind of lost. I don't want to lowball anyone, but I also don’t want to get ripped off. I know "1 lakh" was mentioned in a thread somewhere, but that doesn't mean much to me since I'm not familiar with that currency. How much should I realistically expect to pay for a decent quality motion graphics video? What factors influence the price? Are there any red flags I should watch out for when discussing budget with potential freelancers or design agencies? Any insights would be super helpful. I'm using Kimp for other graphic design needs, but not sure if their video design services are suitable for this particular project since I need something more custom and unique for my homepage.
Hello, fellow creatives,
I'm helping a colleague who wants to explore combining motion graphics with green screen footage of a person. While I have experience placing subjects into real-world environments, I'm finding it challenging to locate examples or inspiration that effectively showcase this integration.
I'm specifically looking for:
Any insights or direction you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello everyone I’m struggling doing this task because it takes forever to export. I need to create a custom shaped line following a dot I made that it’s following itself a null object coming from a motion tracking in a footage. The only solution I’ve found to create a trails with this dot is applying echo, but this fx seems to take forever to export.
Is there a better method?
Thank you
First of all, I am not very knowledgeable about editing and motion graphics, so I am not really sure whether what I am looking for even falls under motion graphics.
So, I want to start a YouTube channel and have money to invest. Since I don't know much about editing, I was thinking of hiring someone to do this for me.
This is the style of videos I was thinking of creating: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Afwc7_Ln2Ak&t=189s&ab_channel=RouteNone
Is this called motion graphics? If yes, how much would a 10-15-minute video edited in this way cost me?
P.S. this would be my second channel. I have another channel where I have an editor cut and edit the clips. But this new channel would be my first with this editing style.
Thanks!
Can anyone recommend a sound design course they found useful for their motion graphics work? I'm looking to go beyond just adding whooshes to everything :)
Trying to choose between two laptops for my after effects and premier pro work.
One is an HP with i7 core 6th generation 16gb ram 512gb SSD With an NVIDIA 4gb graphics card
The other is a Lenovo Thinkpad with i7 core 10th gen 32gb ram Intel UHD graphics card
Please help me in choosing which would work best for me even with very demanding work.

AI skeptic here, but I’m open enough to use tools that actually improve work and are not just ways to get cheaper low-effort output while bypassing talented artists.
So, put it to you, are there actually any AI tools or workflows out there, specifically for motion graphics and animation, that are worth learning, paying for, and integrating into a mograph workflow?
