The Rules
Temp: All Posts Related to the Murder Investigation Must be from Trusted Sources Any posts related to the tragic events that occurred in Moscow on November 13th, must be from a trusted source. Trusted sources include:
1. Be Civil
No personal attacks, hate speech, harassment, racism, sexism, or generally being a jerk. You welcome and to disagree, or share strong, factual opinions, but don't cross the line into being uncivil.
Treat each other the way you would running into someone at the Farmer's market.
2. Stick to the facts
Don't share misinformation. Share sources if you're making claims. Stick to the facts in discussions and posts.
We know this can get a bit fuzzy in a community subredit, and we'll follow the principle of "bolder claims need better sources."
AKA, your post probably won't get removed if your un-sourced claim is "I'm having a bake sale on Adams street this Tusday" - but we'll ask for some evidence if you're claim is "The mayor is a lizard person!"
3. Follow Reddiquette
This subreddit's most common violations are around posting personal info, or being intentionally rude.
Don't do either.
4. No Classifieds
This isn't a place to sell your stuff.
5. Keep it Relevant to Moscow, Idaho
All posts should be directly relevant to Moscow, Idaho and the surrounding area.

Newish to town. Need to take my 8-year-old to the dentist. We are low income, no insurance. What is the most affordable dentist here in town
If you could spare me the time, I'm curious on how your working life is treating you?
Where do you work?
How is the management?
How is the wages, hours, do you get PTO?
I worked at the KFC at $16.5/hr, but management had issues clocking us out early, so I quit.
I work at Paradise, $13.5/hr, pretty nice job so far
I just want to hear what your experience has been working in Moscow, the good, bad, the ugly. I should have been more involved in Moscow's elections, I moved here about two years ago, if someone could explain what's been going on politically here, I would also be happy to hear that.
Hello everybody. I'll be moving back to Moscow to finish my school after 2 years and am looking for a place to stay. I was thinking of living in a one bedroom apartment but my budget is kinda tight right now(around 500 a month). I was hoping to find somebody to share an apartment with. I'm a 22 year old male and won't be having people over apart from a couple of friends I have back there every once in a while. I'm a pretty quiet guy and spend most of my time by myself. I'm moving back on the first week of January. If anybody is looking for a roommate please lemme know and we can go on from there.
Thank you and have a lovely day.
Can anyone recommend a housecleaner or company that could do a one-time clean for my in-laws who are expecting a baby? I was thinking of this as a gift for them. Please let me know your recommendations!
I have lived here for too long and have been too embarrassed to ask: where do I find the arboretum? Where would I park my car and then enter? I have friends visiting from out of state and want to take them here but now I can no longer deny I have no idea where it is! please be nice, thanks in advance :^)
Fatality wreck in front of Toyota dealership on highway. Avoid the area.
Trying to get a massage for someone in the area as a Christmas gift but not sure where. Anyone have any recommendations? Focusing on relaxation as opposed to pain management.
Any suggestions for someone or someplace here or around, who can help look into what’s wrong with my Car stereo system and fix it ? Thanks :)
Sunday evening and there's a half-dozen Starline tour busses at the Moscow University Inn. Anyone know what they're here for? Inquiring minds need to know.
Hey is everyone okay? I'm near the 1912 center and saw and smelled smoke (not normal wood smoke). Anyone know what it is coming from?
Was just at the Target in Moscow getting my son out of the car and this lady started swearing at me for taking too long (less than two minutes, had to put his shoes back on) and tried to run us over while we were walking into the store.
Cooking food for people who don't have anywhere to go come to slice 4pm
I have friends visiting and were wonder if any place is doing karaoke this week/weekend. Please lmk!!
Anyone know which companies will drive to and from moscow or vice versa and what times/days they will?
Anyone else in the community feel like the City of Moscow administration and elected officials are acting like drunken sailors when it comes to spending?

-$7.2 million for a city shop. 😳 -Wellens General Contractors of Oregon, who provided us with a police station for over $9 million dollars, minus any sort of jail. 🤫 -Belknap say “nearly half of the cost will be paid for by” ARPA funds, where does the other $3.6 plus million dollars come from Belknap? 🤔
With potentially a new school bond for the school district, and some sort of county bond or increased tax for a new jail on the horizon, it seems a bit rich and reckless to me.
I'm looking to get some pictures printed out for a project soon. Is there anyplace in town that still does that or am I stuck ordering online? Thanks!
It’s about an hour and a half long but I think it’s worth a watch for those of us concerned by CC.
Was making a Goodwill donation, heard a ton of sirens. Then stopped in Deranleau's for a few minutes. When we tried to leave police everywhere, ladder truck on Warbonnet Dr, Walmart employees evacuated to the parking lot across Warbonnet to Shari's. Walmart parking lot still full of customer cars. Police blocking traffic down on the highway, at least 6 police cars with lights flashing. What on earth happened?
I’ll avoid personal details but I don’t really have anyone to openly talk to in my life. I cannot find a LGBTQ friendly therapist who is in network for me and accepting clients, I just feel incredibly isolated. I’m not a student anymore so university affiliated groups aren’t an option. I don’t know what to do or who I can even talk to. I’m sorry if this isn’t allowed and please no mean comments I really cannot take them. I appreciate everyone for reading
So i live over by Morton street for reference. I rent half of a duplex.
Story time:
I saw Inland Waste stop by friday and i assume pick up my trash - but low and behold when i went out later my trash can and my neighbors was trash to the brim. “Weird, wonder why they missed us? Everything seemed to be in order” i thought. After further inspection i now realize someone else filled 2/3 trash cans to the brim and the other trash can over half way with their stuff directly after our trash was picked up. I called Inland Waste today and told them my trash was missed - after investigation they said “it was marked serviced….. but they would come pick it up” so crisis averted, right?
Has anyone ever dealt with someone using and filling your trash can totally up? I have not the want nor the energy to try to go through the trash to look for identifying info, nor do i have a camera etc. And Inland Waste is coming by today to grab it with no issue - I’m hoping this was a one off of someone moving out and being thoughtless….. but if it isnt?
I do not want to be a drama llama and be calling the police over something so silly as garbage. Ugh. This
Has anyone heard the rumor that Palouse Properties is selling to another company in 2025? I hope this isn’t true but a couple people I work with were told this and looking to find out if there’s any truth to it.
My mom is visiting from out of town and wants to get a manicure. Any recommendations? Pullman ok too.
My gf collects them & can’t find em anywhere

Do cops in Moscow and Latah County care too much about how dark your auto tints are? I know it will depend on many different things that draw attention to law enforcement, such as the time of day and what kind of car you have, but I still want to hear your experiences and what you all think.
It seems that Redditers in Boise say the cops mostly don’t enforce the tint law:
I’m from Texas where you’re allowed to have five percent tints through medical exemptions, but I’m considering attending the University of Idaho. I have limo tint all around except the windshield, and I don’t want to remove my tints just for the few years I would be here.
Pete Hegseth, president-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for secretary of Defense, has close ties to an Idaho-based Christian nationalist church that aims to turn America into a theocracy.
Hegseth is a member of a Tennessee congregation affiliated with Christ Church, a controversial congregation in Moscow, Idaho, that has become a leader in the movement to get more Christianity in the public sphere.
In an appearance last year on the Christ Church-connected streaming show “Crosspolitic,” Hegseth talked about how building up fundamentalist Christian education systems is important in what he sees as a “spiritual battle” with the secular world. He sees Christian students as foot soldiers in that war and refers to Christian schools as “boot camp.”
“We’re in middle phase one right now, which is effectively a tactical retreat where you regroup, consolidate and reorganize and as you do so, you build your army underground with the opportunity later on of taking offensive operations – and obviously all of this is metaphorical and all that good stuff,” he said on the show.
…
Wilson and his allies have a rigid patriarchal belief system and don’t believe in the separation of church and state. They support taking away the right to vote from most women, barring non-Christians from holding office and criminalizing the LGBTQ+ community.

From the time my job told me about Moscow last night all the links and business to police department browsing .... I'm not seeing one black or brown face. The earth is my turf but if any black or brown people are out there lmk your experiences. I'm loving the idea of gun carrying patriots to my left and right but Idaho, there's absolutely no point of reference there for me so talk to me. Thanks in advance.
