I currently live in NY but I’m looking to relocate to Morocco. I have family that lived the before, friends from there, friends with family there etc. I’ve heard many opinions but I want to hear more opinions from people currently living there. I’ve heard Tetouan and Oujda are pretty conservative but what’s you guys opinion?

I am from Spain but I only know speak amazigt but I don’t speak darija

What can I do for learn darija?(any app or website)

Im curious what the typical experience is like. If it's a solitary experience not talking to each other for the month, or you celebrate everyday or something? With the spouse and family after fasting for the day?

In the past before marriage, my now husband would not talk to me at all during the entire month of ramadan. But now we are married (and live apart). I still kind of expect him to treat me the same as he has in the past (not talking to me for the entire month.....)

How would you expect your husband/wife treat you during this time?

What would the family involvement be? Like should his parents ask about me and try to involve me In these festivities or something? Would his parents and family find it odd that I (his wife) is excluded for the month? Is there to be a stronger focus on marriage and being a good spouse during this time?

Would it be weird for him (outsiders perspective) to spend more/all his time with his muslim friends and family than his wife during ramadan?

In Morocco now and I am utterly disgusted by the behavior of the taxis drivers. Why the government allows them to ruin the image of the country? They quoted me 100 MAD for a less than 5 mins ride where indrive quoted me 15 MAD(realistically 20). Got an indrive and one of the taxis purposely stopped beside the indrive car just to prevent us for getting into it.

10 to 15 years this is happening in Thailand where the taxis drivers can outright quote u any amount they want but after Uber came out all these problems are solved. Why Morocco still do not want to adapt to this yet? Is it because of politics? Is the government scare of the taxis drivers because of votes?

In Korea the Uber is banned but the taxis drivers follow the meter closely. Why the government of Morocco allows this scam to carry on like this?

Sorry rant over. Morroco is such a beautiful country, it's a pity this small thing is ruining the image.

And my question would be if amazighs really hate Arabs and if Arabs really hate amazighs, cuz when I look at TikTok or YouTube or something, I always feel like those groups hate each other. I mean I saw amazighs saying "yeah Arab culture and Islam need to get out of Morocco we don’t want Arabs here " and Arabs saying shit like "Maghreb is arab land, amazigh don’t exist they are an French invention " so do they really hate each other or are those only kids on the internet? Hi! I am planning to permanently move from the US to Morocco this year, and I am wondering about the procedure to bring animals and plants in. I have a large collections of plants and various tanks (both aquariums and terrariums), in addition to non-exotic pets, and I would like to bring them with me.
