Hello,
I received speeding ticket last saturday. 111 in 50 zone. It happend while existing Hwy 40 at St.Jean in West Island.
While very stupid and without any excuse ( not that excuse would matter) I am super pissed off at myself and with a relativly high dose of being scared. Since this is considered reckless driving and it i was caught doing more than double speed limit fine was 14 demerit points, $1200 and 7 day driving suspension. Police officer also told me that they could impound my car but they will not do that and will let me drive home. I live near by from where this happened.
I have a good driving record, 0 outstanding ticket and not missing any points, not sure how much and if this matter at all.
I did not argue with police or try to give any explanation or excuse, it would not probabaly matter anyway.
The way i see it i have 3 options:
Wondering if anyone is/was in similar situation and if advice can be given.
Thanks
Hey folks! Do you have a discord page to talk about spawnings and raids so people can coordinate? I've seen this in Edmonton and Ottawa so far, thought I would check :)
Guys if you are interested of buying this bus ticket, please inbox me ASAP !
Hi, I'm visiting Montreal this weekend and I was wondering if there are any areas that will have many Pokestops lured this weekend? Is there a go to place?
Looking for updated nests, specifically for bulbasaurs. The nest thread doesn't seem to be updated much anymore. Just fyi Rhyhorn can now be found at Parc La Fontaine. Happy catching!
So I've heard of McGill being a spot for them but I'm actually a McGill student and I've never even seen them on radar lol. Anyone have a specific location or another hotspot for them?
I'm going downtown, and I need the best spot to go around hunting pokemon, and getting items!
Ok so I live in the building next to the old forum and just watched a massive ( a few hundred) migration of you all running while yelling 'HURRY" down the street towards maissoneuve/sherbrooke and I just have to know; What the hell spawned to cause that?
Hey! So first off the day and night thing from my old post. Protip: nightfall in the game for montreal is 7pm and DEFINITELY affects spawns. Some persist through the night while others are muuuuuuuuch easier to catch during the day. Growlithe and Ponyta being prime examples (you find ponyta at parc jarry like you find pidgeys during the day but FORGET ABOUT IT the later in the day it goes).
Another fun tip that I noticed the other night (remember my pokedate post? well.. it worked and she's awesome so yay lol) is that the spot infront of the terraces sometimes bugs out. The lures start pulling in nothing but rattata and pidgey. What we did is we went south from that double lure spot to the water and then walked to end (east) to the pokestop there (big tower). It was lured and we got basically the exact same spawns as the terrace ones (magikarp, dratini, poliwag, goldeen, staryu etc) instead of the usual ''mix'' that you would get if you were looking for water pokemon while on the bike track.
Last tip I've noticed, Pikachu will appear on your tracker even if you're inside the place-des-arts metro. I literally caught one while randomly transfering pokemon coming from berri-uqam. I got off, went upstairs on the corner of bleury and maisonneuve and picked one up lol. So even though the gps sometimes bugs in the metro, keep an eye on it at least around place-des-arts to see if it corrects itself and shows a pikachu :P
I hope this helps!
I've been having a hard time catching anything other than common and uncommon, any good areas with a large spawn rate and poke stops?
So I've been hearing a lot of how Ponyta is all over parc Jarry and Growlithe being in cabot square. I usually go catching at night though and I have yet to see either in the wild at those locations. The ones I DO have came from eggs. Could it be that they spawn during the day? If so, does the same apply to pikachu at the casino? Once I finish farming my gyarados (95% 155cp magikarp, shouldn't be too bad!) I'll be going after all 3 (Rapidash / Arcanine / Raichu) so gathering up info now.
Thanks @ any replies!
EDIT: So after testing it a bit more, day and night times DEFINITELY matter. Nightfall in the game here in montreal is 7pm so if you want a MUCH MUCH MUCH higher chance @ Ponyta or Growlithe then hunt during the day. Nightfall kills off their spawn rates apparently and replaces with other shenanigans lol
Beavertails in the old port? Diner at place des arts? A walk through mont-royal? Food trucks around olympic stadium? Lets go on a pokedate. ^^^I ^^^expect ^^^this ^^^to ^^^be ^^^awesome ^^^reddit. ^^^Don't ^^^let ^^^me ^^^down!
Edit: I'm serious though if any ladies wanna do this lel
Hey folks!
I'm curious; how does everyone play PoGo? What's your favorite play style, as it were?
I work in the heart of downtown (Bonaventure) and live on the South Shore (Saint-Hubert). I've found a few uncommons, but not very many. I've used Pokevision to check around me multiple times, but I haven't found much; wondering if maybe I'm not playing enough? I've gone for 30-45 minutes during lunch at work, and we have a beautiful park on the South Shore called Parc de la cité; big with a lake and a bunch of stops! But sadly few interesting catches...
How do you guys play the game? Do you boot up the app whenever you have a chance; or do you prefer to take your car and go sit at one spot for hours?
Also, any of you guys also on the South Shore? Any good spots or catches you could recommend? :)
Thanks all!
Going down to Montreal this weekend and looking for some good spots where a lot of people play and have active lures during the day. Wanna grind to level 25. Preferably a spot that has 3-4 stops together so we can catch 4 at a time.
Thanks for the help.
Been searching around and cant find one anywhere
I can't seem to see any Charmanders out in the wild. I heard Cabot Square was a good spot but stood there for around 3 hours and none spawned. Was I just unlucky or are they still rare to find there? Are there better spots for Charmanders around Montreal?
the people who keep Chabot Park clean. Was there this morning at about 6AM and they helped pick up all the trash that was left by Pokemon Go players that evening prior in front of the Montreal Children's. To the douchebags who throw their junk there because it's "the city's problem, not theirs"... I hope you get hit by a car playing the game
Anyone know of lure party in Laval like the one at atwater in Montreal?
