was cleaning up my basement and found this patch of bleached(?) deteriorating carpet. on top of it had been bags, and some had cleaning products in it.
It was sitting on a table and looked completely normal when I left the house, but when I got back ~5 hours later it had mostly collapsed in on itself, was liquifying, and the carved out bits were so full of mold I couldn't see inside. Unfortunately I didn't grab a pic (it was my roommate's and she immediately went into clean-up mode, and I certainly wasn't gonna stop her lol), but I've never seen something like this before. I'm just curious if any mold enthusiasts out there might have some insight into what could cause so much mold to grow in such a short frame of time
what’s the squiggly orange stuff?
Feel fine(burps are a bit chemically and maybe a small bit of indigestion), but man was this an unpleasant surprise.
Is the red stuff in my tahini mold? It's not out of date and I've been keeping it in the fridge but I can't think of what else it could be.
Honestly was thinking there would be more.
it’s weirdly green. it’s not expired and i’ve never seen mold look like this before.
