/r/Mold is an educational and informative subreddit for redditors trying to deal with mold in their homes, apartments, work places, etc. It IS NOT a place to have your mold identified. You need laboratory analysis for that.

I opened up a bag of bagels and pulled out one for slicing. Putting the bag back, I used a boba straw half inserted into said bag and extra ted the air to seal it up more. After slicing my bagel of choice, I realized there was a tiny speck of green mold on it, and gave up on wanting bagels. Making spaghetti an hour later, I start getting a bit sniffly and my throat is itchy and sore. Didnt pay any mind to it until I start getting itchy ears and slight blurriness in my right eye. I looked back into the bag and noticed a giant as heck ton of fuzzy white green mold at the bottom. Tossed it immediately.
What should I do? I called my doctor's and they're not answering. Checked out the closest hospital and it has a 18+ hour wait time. I'm not in the greatest of health as I'm overweight and have athletics-induced asthma and severe panic attacks. What will happen to me?
We found mold (stachy and chaetomium) in a second floor bathroom shower, the first floor ceiling underneath that shower (in a closet), and have suspicions (but no proof) that it may have made its way down from the second floor bathroom wall to a wall underneath it (on the first floor) that is adjacent to our primary bathroom shower.
I would say in total this is a job between 150 and 200sqft.
The remediator was very generous with his time while here. Quoted us around 14k for deconstruction and remediation only (no reconstruction, leaving walls open), including air scrubbing and containment zones on both floors. They plan to tear out the shower/sheetrock in the upstairs bath, remediate the studs, leave everything else as is and in place(floor vanity and toilet untouched). Downstairs they would tear out the ceiling and one wall of the closet and remediate/leave open. The source of the former leak in the upstairs bath is remedied and the material is in a dry state.
14k is a new car to us.
Does this seem like a reasonable quote for the above description?
Thank you all in advance, i have learned so much already from this sub.
Two questions related to this.
Is this dangerous to walk on and be around for minimal amounts of time?
Should I worry about long term effects?
I uncovered some flooring and found some dried mold on the floor. It looked more green and white. This will be fixed within a few days but I'm worried if it's.dangerous to be around or to walk on. I walk in the hallway where the mold was found quite frequently and can't really avoid it. That's why I wonder if I can still use the hallway and walk on the mold and be in or close to the hallway?
Hello I’ve had Covid since last Tuesday. I was feeling better on Saturday but then I moved to my apartment and started to feel sick again: i.e I think there’s a mold problem but I can’t really tell since it’s only been two nights
How can I tell between a cold and mold exposure?
I have just noticed black/green mould spots growing around the bottle neck so am currently soaking the bottle and lid in vinegar and water. Just wanting to know how soon symptoms caused by ingesting mould tend to start and how bad the symptoms can be? Thank you
