Misfits Jersey with Player Name

Hey everyone, I was hoping to purchase a Vetheo jersey but I do not see an option on the Misfits website for selecting a player for your jersey. Does anyone know how to get one? I'm not really interested in getting just a blank jersey

offseason changes

Kind of bummed out with the Razork rumor to leave. I think that with the 2021 summer roaster, they could actually challenge for the championship. It feels like they were finding the style that fitted them and only chocked a coulple of times but with more time would actually be a top team of the LEC. Sadly good things not always last and we do not get to see the full development for this team. I dont know what lies ahead but I hope they still find joy in playing together and can find lot of success, including Razork, what a guy. Cheers

Misfit's Week 2 Recap

Misfits were the biggest disappointment to come out of Week 2, as they went 0-2 after glimpses of brilliance in Week 1. This is especially disappointing considering how well HiRit has been performing since his LEC debut, landing in the top half of most laning stats (+146 GD@10/+124 XPD@10) and being one of the best carry tops in the league. The team has been terribly indecisive around objective control and have not been synergizing with Razork, only posting a 40% baron control rate.

Vetheo has not been able to find his stride ever since teams started target banning Zoe, the only champion he has been able to find success on. His performance on other control mages have been dismal as well, as his game on Syndra against SK featured him going negative in all laning stats. Being the youngest player in the LEC, Vetheo has plenty of time to improve but if Misfits want to make a playoff run, he needs to start quickly.

LEC Power Rankings Here!

  1. Misfits Gaming

After the failed 2019 super team, Misfits have been in a partial rebuild that has not resulted in much. Kobbe’s return to the LEC after a split with TSM was underwhelming, but Vander is a massive upgrade to the Support role that has the potential to turn Misfit’s weak botside into a real threat. Vetheo perhaps has the highest expectations out of any rookie as he finished EU Masters Summer with a 6.47 KDA and was heralded as the team’s primary carry, making up their highest Kills/Gold share. If paired well with Jungler Razork, Misfits could have a dangerous roster.

We got a post about the concept of Kobbe joining BUT NOT ONE ACTUALLY CELEBRATING THAT HE DID?!

KOBBE IS HERE!

Three things:

  1. I am actually quite sad about Bvoy leaving. I believe he was a true asset to the team despite his flaws. He made an incredible amount of personal sacrifices; he's been competing for years away from his home. Yet, despite this, he joined the team with such great enthusiasm and clearly made everyone on the team and staff thankful that he was around. His statistics, especially during the laning phase, were a bit below the standart of EU ADCs, sure. But we should not ignore the incredible performances he had. He was very consistent in late game teamfights and very rarely was the sole reason for a loss. For the memes, and the games, and the incredible personality and that one really great draven performance, I salute you Bvoy. Godspeed.
  2. HOLY FUCKING POGGERS ON A STICK, KOBBE IS OUR ADC. The talent of this dude should NOT be undermined. His performances especially as a member of Splyce in 2019 were so freaking good. I recommend you guys go and watch the World's play-in series vs UOL. Kobbe has 5 good performances in a row in 5 close games and ends up being the reason his team takes the series. It's a really good example of his skill. With the addition of Kobbe on the team, Misfits doesn't have, in my view, a single weak lane. All of our pieces are individually strong, but they also mesh together quite well. Splyce played a proactive style quite similar to ours, so Kobbe should feel right at home. Once again, our coaching staff prove they know exactly who to bring in to groom and develop. I am so freaking excited to see the ceiling of these guys and I hope this roster lasts for a long while.
  3. LET'S GO TO WORLDS AND GET THE SKT REMATCH BOIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

What do you guys think of the concept of Kobbe joining Misfits?

If Kobbe were to return to EU, then in my mind Misfits seems like the best option.

G2, FNC, OG, Rogue, Mad Lions and Excel are unlikely to replace their ADCs. Teams like SK, S04 and Vitality are simply not contenders for worlds.

However, Misfits is a new roster with a lot of promising talent, including the winner of the rookie of the split award. Their weakest player is in the ADC role, imo. Kobbe also plays a similar style to Bvoy, but simply on a higher level. They were already capable of making playoffs with this roster, and with EU getting 4 slots for worlds in 2020, there's a very realistic chance of Misfits making worlds.

If he stays in NA, then I struggle to see him getting on a team that could realistically contend for worlds spots. C9 and TSM seem to be locked in for worlds, unless they slump. This only leaves one spot.

Thoughts?

After a week off LEC is back! And we lost twice! Dangit!

COVID19 was a real douche and caused the suspention of both LEC and LCS last week.

But we really have to give it to riot and the crews of both regions; it's incredible that they were able to bring back the entire production just a week later! Teams, Casters and everyone else involved deserves a great amount of praise!

Our very own Misfits boys also went the extra mile to provide us with some quality content. I was especially thankful for the Mischief episode as well as for "Cooldown". Getting to hear the point of view of both coaches regarding the state of the team, the flaws, and our chances come playoffs is something that I really appreciate as a fan.

Honestly, there is little else to add to what was said in those interviews. We are strong, but we are facing a bit of a slump. This slump is a result of many things, such as adapting to the meta, understanding where to apply pressure on the map and small mistakes by each player. The MAD game in particular is a perfect example of a game with a relatively even draft in which a few bad calls by individual players slowly but surely escalated into a loss of tempo and objectives.

What is great beyond everything is knowing that both the coaching staff and the players are keenly aware of these difficulties and are working on strategies to overcome them. While to many it may not be a good look to stumble at the end of the Split, to me as a fan this is perfect timing for us to face adversity. We guaranteed the playoffs spot after all, so it's much better to realize something is wrong now and work on it instead of realizing it in the middle of the bracket!

Overall, Misfits has done nothing this year if not exceed expectations and improve on their flaws. We more than anyone should remember that the last time the team ended 0-2 on a weekend, they began a really nice winning streak the week right after ;)

A problem in approach (Week 7)

A 1-1 week is certainly not a bad outcome and losing to Origen is to be expected. However, the individual games tell another story. Heck, even before that, the match vs SK in week 6 revealed some concerns for me.

I really HATE to be "that guy", especially on reddit, but I have to question some of the choices in terms of the draft. Looking at our comp vs Origen, we gave Razork the Lee to try and apply pressure early but then left him with no advantageous point to gank. Top was going to be pushed in all the time; a gank mid is impossible because corki can just W on reaction to both Lee q and Azir shuffle; a gank bot is the most likely scenario but still difficult. Razork couldn't even count on the assist of Denyk to gank because he was stuck on Braum and being pushed in.

The results in-game were pretty clear. Razork didn't play bad, but he couldn't make a lot of things happen either. The most productive choice often available to him was stealing camps and apart from that we saw several failed shurima shuffles onto corki to try and start a gank. I am not the greatest analyst, so I don't know if I'm ignoring something here. Perhaps the Lee was meant to shut down the enemy jungler through counter ganks and invades. But as it appeared on stage, it just seemed like we put one of our most crucial players in a situation in which he could not really have an impact.

Against Excel we actually held on quite well in a horrible early game and capitalized on openings to claim the game back. But perhaps, we should not have been in such a disadvantageous position to begin with; perhaps a better team would have made less mistakes and handed us the loss. Against SK a single bad call almost lost us the entire game up until Dan Dan went crazy on Vlad.

Amazing said not too long ago that we are behind in terms of Meta and I am starting to believe it. However, this WOULD be the perfect moment to correct our mistakes as a team. We have basically guaranteed playoffs and next week we face two teams that are below us in the standings. Now, I'm not implying we should get comfortable, on the contrary! I want to see Misfits try new things and experiment. I want to see our proactive play evolve even further. Let's stick the landing on the regular season and go into playoffs in our best form!

Facing healthy adversity in the second half of the Split (week 6)

After yet another 1-1 week, it seems like the smooth sailing has come to a halt for our Misfits bois

...which honestly fills me with relief.

Every team faces adversity at some point during the regular Split. Even G2 in their dominant streak last year had some growing pains and evidently the same happened this split as well. In the case of our roster, surprisingly, the problem no longer even concerns the quality of our talent. Our rookies are far from unreliable or inconscistant. Razork in particular is freaking incredible; his impeccable game sense and his ability to play both a carry and a support style of jungling is great. Bvoy is good in lane and a freaking monster in team fights. Dan Dan, as we saw this week, is a monster especially on scaling champion and has quite the balls balls. Denyk does really well in setting up the team and protecting Bvoy and I believe nothing has to be said about Febidad.

The problem then lies in our approach. It seems as though our drafts and strategies are not quite suited to the current meta. Amazing himself stated in his twitter that this is what's causing our team to have shaky performances and being "underwhelming". Taking the SK game as an example, we drafted for early/mid game and specifically to abuse the midlane; and we succeeded! We killed the cassio over and over, got control over objectives, got herald, and got Dan Dan and Bvoy scaling well on their lanes. Yet, despite being able to pull off our strategy smoothly, a single bad call and a baron basically spelled the end of our lead and we had to rely on a fed vlad and some naughty flanks to make our way back.

But it's great that we are getting the wins that we need and still learning. We will pull through in our results, get to playoffs and be in the best possible form. The one thing we are undisputed at in the LEC is adapting to our mistakes. Just look at our week 1 vs our week 3. Misfits are looking stronger in defeat to me, honestly.

LET'S GO MISFITS.

We FINALLY lost (Week 5)

Title.

As a Misfits fan I am very relieved that the win-streak is over. It may seem contradictory, but I want Misfits to lose a lot more en route to playoffs. Remember they are still the rookie team; most of the players are still capable of making basic mistakes and misjudgements due to their lack of knowledge and experience. I have no idea what kind of glue has kept Misfits together and so conscistent in the first half of the Split; probably a combination of Febi shotcalling, Jandro ana Amazing coaching, and pure, sheer force of will.

Point is, as soon as we racked up the impressive winning streak, it was mission accomplished in my eyes. As long as we secure the top 6 and playoffs that's all that matters. Once we are actually in the bracket, having as much knowledge of ourselves and our enemies through experimenting and losing is what will put us one step (hop?) ahead. So I hope Misfits keep losing, learning, growing and improving. If anything, they proved that they ar the absolute best at adapting and developping in the entire league.

I actually have few to say about the games themselves. We are still pretty solid. I'm thinking maybe Rogue's style counters ours quite nicely. We tend to pick aggressive comps to try and exploit the mid/supp/jg synergy throughout the early and mid game. However, Rogue, in both our matches this Split, were capable of stalling and closing the gold gap. After watching the match, people thought the Zoe pick was bad or useless! While I'm not a fan of Zoe myself, the first blood in the first minutes of the match should not be forgotten. She was picked with a purpose: skirmishes and roams as well as shutting azir down in a way. However, Rogue did really well in mitigating damages and not letting themselves be caught out.

I'm really excited to see our match against FNATIC. Someone's getting knocked down from first. I wonder who?

Schalke appreciation post

We thought WE were the underdogs. We thought WE got the emotional upset victories.

But then Schalke came in and said "hold my 0-7."

Honestly we have probably witnessed one of the most memorable regular season games in the history of the European league, and we owe it to the heart and spirit of the players of Schalke. The amount of mental fortitude required to make this kind of a comeback against that caliber of an opponent is incredible. Just like in our own game, G2 never quite let go of the game. It felt like they were always just one good team fight away from victory. Yet the players of Schalke never let on and stood victorius in the end.

This feels like a genuine redemption and I can just imagine the sense of catharsis that their fans are experiencing at this moment.

So anyways. We are now first in the LEC. In week 4. Let that sink in boys. For the first time since (I think) we joined the EU LCS (LEC) we are first in the standings.

Crack open a cold one, lay back and listen to some Spanish music. It's time to celebrate.

My personal review of the team after G2 game (Not an analyst, just a hyped up fan)

What started as a comment, turned out to be so long that I kind of decided I'll make my own little review of the team. So here I go:

What a nice freaking surprise. I mean, I believed like any fan would but I wasn't 100% sure up until I saw Razork pick that Ekko. After that I had a real feeling we're winning this somehow. Last week, we heard Febi talking how his jungler plays mean Ekko jungle and I was hoping that they'll whip it out in one of the games. Really didn't expect it in this one. But this is so much better than just a win. How many teams will want to risk having Razork on Gragas or Ekko. Even his Lee Sin is pretty clean (bad flashes happen). This guy's champ pool is amazing and teams will have to ban or pick these champs so he doesn't play them.

And that's not the only thing. Denyk is a freaking beast on Rakan. Everyone is talking how Caps was unsafe but nobody is mentioning how perfect those engages were. Not a lot of Rakan's in the league could pull that off. I am super excited for these two rookies and I can't wait to see them on more champions. Misfits Gaming, keep these two guys, we don't want another MikyX happening.

I had my doubts about Bvoy, not going to lie. But he's proven me wrong. His teamfighting has been exceptional, and now they even won the lane and were ahead the whole game basically, so he's getting better and better. I never thought I'll say this but I'm not sad Hans Sama left anymore. Not saying Bvoy>Hans. Just saying there's no point in keeping a player that doesn't want to be here. Bvoy seems super happy with the team and he's performing good, so good luck, Hans. I'm over you. Haha. It would feel super nice if we got into playoffs and kicked Rogue, with our bot lane smurfing on them, I must say though. lol

Febiven, I didn't believe is able to come back to his old form. After week one, I was kind of annoyed that he was still playing when we have a rookie ready to prove himself. Guess that is the reason why I'm not the coach and there are people who know better. Looking back at it now, Febi wasn't bad in those games, and he certainly proved everyone wrong in Week 2 and Week 3. Week 2 was him, as a veteran, taking all of the team on his back and relaxing the rookies. Giving them confidence with two wins. After that, he didn't even need to carry that much anymore since all the players got the confidence and now he plays off them. You could say Febiven even had a bad game against G2. But that's good, G2 looked to capitalize on that but everyone else stepped up and helped him get back. insert that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with Splinter meme. He's doing exactly what a veteran mid is supposed to do. Carries when tough, but lets the team do its own thing otherwise. A smart veteran without any ego.

Next up, don don. I was surprised when some idiots on the official LoL subbredit after week 1 were talking how Dan Dan didn't show anything since he came to the main squad and that he was just a splitpush player who's easy to get shut down. I completely disagreed with that because in my opinion, out of that whole Rookie lineup that came after the super team disaster, Dan Dan was the one who showed the most. And just thinking about it now, there is so much we can see from this guy. My girlfriend will kill me for saying this because she's an avid Fnatic fan but I feel like Dan Dan is a better Bwipo. He does have this weird champ pool where he can pull out weird picks (I still believe in Nocturne toplane) but he can also play for the team and go with the meta champions. And we haven't really seen his best champs this season. Maybe they aren't in the meta but I remember Dan Dan being scary on Vladimir even when our rookie team was being outclassed by other teams, and that one Jax game, he singlehandedly won it. I can't remember which one it was, I just remember a fight around baron. And Sett, he's really good on Sett. That E into Perkz and Jankos in our toplane jungle was literally the way Riot intended for it to be used. Haha.

And last but not least, the coaching staff. Jandro and Amazing have been doing amazing (I'm punny) work. I think one thing Dan Dan said in PGL yesterday summarizes that very well. Paraphrasing, "Last year, the coach came and told us, 'these are the picks you're going to play', no questions or anything. Now, we have a whole meeting about drafting for the games we're about to play." That says enough and is probably the reason why our team did so poorly last season. Infrastructure is so important for a successful team. Fnatic are perfect example. They lost their star midlaner, they started the season terribly, yet by the end of the season, they still managed to be the only team to really contest G2. This year, they swapped junglers and coaches. They're struggling a bit, but I have no doubt they will be on G2's level by the end of the season. Infrastructure is super-important for consistency and I want to believe that our organization has been looking into that. But to get back to the coaches, I can't say a lot because I'm not involved behind the scenes. All I can say is that I love the drafts. I love how the team is improving game after game. And I love seeing the players happy. Drafts/team atmosphere/team improving. These three things for me mean the coaching staff is doing their job.

This turned out to be more of a dissertation. Hahaha. Haven't written this much in so long. I assume not a lot of people will read it but if someone does. Thank you and I assume you are just as hyped about this team as I am because there's no way you're reading through all of this if you're not. Hahaha. What are my expectations for this team? I want us to get into playoffs in Spring, contest as much as we can. Keep the same team for Summer, and then try to do the same in Summer with hopes of reaching Worlds. That's as concise as I can get. But no matter what, if we stuck through last season's debacle, we'll stick through anything. But damn it feels good to be a Misfits fan at the moment, proving everyone wrong. 10th place team coming through all the way to top 4. I love this team. LET'S GO MISFITS!

wait, we actUALLY BEAT G2?!

Hold up just one sec.

Like, seriously? For real? No joke? No takebacksies?

Alright then.

So the rookie team, the one that a LOT of folks here (reddit) were quick to declare the 10th place lineup comprised of no-name nobodies just took down the undefeated world finalist. By the way, it wasn't even close and they completely shut down G2 in the process.

Honestly words don't even make justice to the impact and importance of this event. I could write a tirade of colorfully worded "I told you so's" and the like, but that would just be redundant at this point. Much like how the rest of the LEC should do at this point, I would like to instead tip my metaphorical hat to the genius of the organization and particularly the coaching staff.

Jandro and Amazing have both proven themselves in a big way. Not that they needed to for anyone that actually researched their backgrounds, but I digress. The two men had a clear vision of a League of Legends team and they knew exactly the kind of minds that they needed to bring in to turn it into a reality. So many people cried out "budget signs" since the team was assembled relatively late into the offseason. Sure, because Razork is a horrible jungler and Bvoy is only good in the "terrible" Latin American region.

But the team didn't mesh very well in the first weeks of competition did it? Two losses in a row confirmed all of our worst expectations. At least it would have for a lesser team. So many squads are stuck with the same set of issues for entire splits or even years. G2 themselves still exhibit many of last year's weaknesses. Yet, in a matter of DAYS, this no-good rookie squad was unrecognizable from before. They developped almost instantly, corrected all of their mistakes and got good enough to the point of challanging the regions' literal best. My days, how could this happen?! JANDRO AND AMAZING, THAT'S HOW. Also special mention to F1RE, he's a kickass analyst.

The way these two have been able to work with their talent and bring out the absolute best out of all of them is incredible. This level of macro, of coordination, of confidence, can only be imparted by the best minds in the business. Febidad also has a ton of influence of course, and I hope he keeps taking good care of his children.

Ultimately, Misfits no longer have any need to "prove themselves" anyore. They already have. Now it's only a matter of mantaining the level all the way up to Summer and then Worlds. Then, what the heck, let's fight SKT again, beat them and 3-0 some LPL team in the finals. At this point I'm convinced that the sky's the limit for these guys.

On our GLORIOUS third week

Wow, just... wow.

As a preface, I would like to remind anyone who might be reading that THIS was supposed to be the "rookie team." Our goal was supposedly to develop our talent over time and have a solid core by the time summer came in. Three out of our five players have only played 6 games in the LEC so far, they are complete rookies and will obviously have some trouble adapting.

Now, we are tied for second in the LEC and have just soundly beaten a top 3 team.

Against Schalke, we absolutely dominated. This was "expected" of course, considering that we were going up against the no-good 0 synergy 0-4 team. However, in this game something special could be noticed. The way that we won, the dominant display that we put on, was not on the back of individual outplays. We beat Schalke through organized play and clean macro. The drakes, the skirmishes, the rotations, the picks, Misfits was behaving like a well oiled machine unlike anything that we ha seen in the first two weeks of competition. This kind of development at this speed is ridiculous for even the best teams.

But of course the main event was Origen. Misfits fans were fine taking the 1-1 week. We accepted the fact that maybe we would have been able to put up some sort of a fight bu that most likely we still would not be at the level of a top-tier team. Yet we won again; and again, it was not even close. Take away, if you will, a derp smite from Razork and a lucky turret from aphelios (apart from a "questionable" flank by Dan Dan). If you take away that single play, which we still recovered, Misfits played what could be described as an almost perfect game.

We were aggressive, we were decisive, we knew our windows of aggression so well and their coordination was akin to the SKT of old I kid you not. The kind of initiations that we got onto Origen with perfect timing and combination of CC was beautiful. The way we tracked Xerxe's movements to know when to go for objectives or fights was incredible. Razork himself is a freaking monster.

I could go on, and on. I am honestly in disbelief and I am so excited and thankful to be a Misfits fan right now. We are not ONLY a playoff team. After beating Origen we proved that we are a threat to EVERYBODY; and, sure, what the heck, to G2 as well. Even I as a fan doubted Misfits too much so I will completely open my heart to them now. I believe that we can beat G2, hell, we will beat G2.

Get ready for next week bois.

Does Franchising in LoL have an impact on our viewing motivation? Let's find out!

Hey, a bit about myself:

I'm a final year Executive Management student, and to graduate, I need to write a Thesis about a chosen topic.

I play and follow League as well as its esport segment since Season 3 especially the LEC and LCS, which undergone some significant developments the last 2 years, like entering a franchising system.

This is why I have chosen my topic to be "The influence of different motivational factors on consumption frequency within a franchise business model where League of Legends is taken as an example."

I find it very interesting to investigate which different motivational factors are there and which keeps us watching these awesome games. Moreover, if the transition into franchising has any effects on these motivational factors.

This is where i need your help guys! To investigate the change from the previous business model into a franchising business model, I've chosen to conduct a survey. So I need your answers and support for my research. The survey does take approx. 5 min and is pretty straightforward.

I would appreciate every help! Link: https://www.soscisurvey.de/esportsFran/
