For the tiny places you discover (or make) that look like they could be a world of their own.

Welcome to this subreddit, you can post pictures of small places that look like they are a world of their own.

3. No rude or insensitive content

Posts and comments, whether in jest or with malice, that consist of racist, sexist, homophobic or general abuse, will be removed, regardless of popularity or relevance.

4. No videos

No videos, only images and gifs are allowed

5. Post flairs are required

You must assign an appropriate flair to your post, or it will be removed, flair explanations

How to properly flair your post

Nature

For those that exclusively features nature as the main focal point. If there are man made structures in the picture, they should either be irrelevant or unnoticeable. (Example)

Reclaimed

This will be for pictures that shows nature reclaiming some man made object or structure. (Example)

Aquatic

For underwater miniworlds that exclusively features nature.

Terrarium

For terrariums! (Example)

Staged

This includes miniworlds that had to have been set up by someone for the purpose of making one, and usually features a man made object. (Example)

Project

Similar to Staged or Terrarium. If you are making, for example, a terrarium and want to post a series of pictures over time of your progress, use this flair. The other use for this is if you have a man made miniworld that does not fit in any of the other categories. (Example) (Example)

Photoshopped

Photoshopped miniworlds

Animated

For animations of miniworlds in video or gif form

Fictional

Miniworlds that don't exist and aren't orginal content (drawings, computer renderings, etc.)

Art

Your own fictional miniworlds (drawings, computer renderings, etc)

Forest of moss

A tiny world growing on top of a fallen tree in Olympic National Forest. For scale, those little mushrooms were barely an inch.
