A place to share and discuss music from the classical minimalism genre. Specifically, composers of the 60s - current era, such as Philip Glass, Steve Reich, Terry Riley, Wim Mertens, Michael Nyman, etc.
Original compositions are welcome so long as they generally conform to a minimalist style.

playlist including what I think are some of the most important minimalist works by Glass, Part, Reich, Adams, and Riley and several other more recent works by composers who are following in there wake. Let me know if you have any suggestions of who should be added
Anyone have the lyrics for the Archangels album? Iβm digging it, but Iβm terrible at making out lyrics and I canβt find them online.
Hi! I recently challenged myself to come up with a top ten essential track list of Terry Riley songs. I already had a lengthy best of playlist but figured Iβd try out narrowing down the best to an βessential tenβ. This list is both meant to capture the variety of sounds from his discography and also meant to ensure some of my favorite tracks are represented.
Hereβs the βessential tenβ playlist!
Which would you include on your own βessential tenβ list?
Looking for midi file of steve reich music for 18 musicians to study the composition. I can find people referring to midi transcriptions or recreations, but I can't find the files themselves. Anyone have a link?
Thanks!
