Hi, I’m a 32 year old socialist in Kalamazoo. I’ve met a handful of other leftists locally through some collectives, but they don’t seem to be interested in hanging out outside of our volunteer work/activism. Outside of human rights, my interests include making and supporting art, cooking and baking, 420, travel, reading, playing board or card games non-competitively, going down YouTube rabbit holes, hiking/nature walks, metal and punk music (though I’ll listen to other genres, these are my favorites). I’m starting grad school in two weeks for a masters in library science, and have a bachelors in psychology. I’m weird and awkward, and can be shy at first until I warm up to you, but I’m not an introvert. I’d love to connect with fellow leftists and make supportive friendships with people that actually want to hang out.
I know the pandemic is still going, but I want to get involved and start working towards the future, is there any groups or organizations in west MI?
Capitalism, and the systems of oppression that enable and empower it! This subreddit is intended to be a place to meet other intersectional revolutionaries to share resources, educate liberals, and build mutual aid.
Thank you, and welcome to the revolution.
