What time is show starting? It says 7, that’s just when doors open right? I want to miss the openers (I’m on the floor, I physically cannot do a whole ass show respectfully lol), how late should I show up?

It has to be between Skwisgaar and Pickles. Pickles fronted a successful band before Dethklok and is a multi instrumentalist who is not only a virtuoso on drums but a good enough guitarist to play lead in Snakes and Barrels. On the other hand it has been more or less confirmed that Skwisgaar writes all of the guitar and bass for Dethklok which is the bulk of the music. He is a songwriting powerhouse for sure and obvs a guitar god.

This fucking blows. Portland, hit me up if you can’t make it and want to sell me two tickets. I know there are pricey scalped ones still but I am sitting in Utah right now after flying out here for another show so I kind of fucked my concert budget. Will still pay more than cost.

And I was a bit disappointed. And I went to this show FOR Dethklok. I will say, I loved that Brendon crams as many songs as possible into just an hour. But overall, Nekrogoblikon and Dragonforce but on much better shows that same night. They were louder, tighter, their mixes were better, and were overall much more engaging. Whereas Dethklok’s guitars were strangely quiet, Gene Holgan was way too loud compared to the rest of the band, the bass was basically non existent, and the lead guitar was at times completely drowned out.

Mind you, I was right up at the front hanging off the railing. Basically spitting distance. I noticed the only gear they had was a couple of solid state amps mic’d up a pedal to switch channels, so maybe it was just an off show or something.

They put on seriously one of the quietest shows I’ve ever been to. I had to take out my ear buds they were so quiet. Has anybody else experienced this? I would hope that when I see them again they’ll at least be louder.

This may have been asked before on here, but does anyone know if the intro says “Doodily ding dong tick tock” or “do anything for Dethklok”?

The Spotify lyrics say doodily ding dong tick tock, but the subtitles for the show (when they are actually words and not symbols) say Do anything for Dethklok.

Same for what is after that, as it sounds like (and is shown to be) both “I’m ticking to rock” and “well teach you who rock”.
