Hi, I'm a music producer just starting off in the merthyr tydfil area.
I'm looking for any other music producers and vocal artists that would like to work together?
I do a bit of RNB, grime, hip-hop, drum and bass and some EDM all as a hobby and non professionally at the moment.
Let me know if this interests you 👍
I have spoken with a micronation called Ironland and they are willing to merge with us. who thinks we should do this?
I have never been more disappointed in our town, the racist bigoted snake oil salesman Nigel Farage launching his manifesto in our town is a dark day for us all.
From a town with a history of diversity and culture, the fact Reform have identified us as a positive area for such a big part of the campaign is horrific.
Don't forget he had a major part in the lie that is Brexit, the pain and suffering it has brought us all is plain to see. Think of the bus with the funding pledge and then look at Prince Charles A&E any day of the week.
I only hope he is not given the platform to spout his lies and culture wars but we again band together with our neighbours and friends of all backgrounds to show we are united.
Hi everyone.
I've been asked by my employer if I'd consider a move to Merthyr on a two year contract with the option to make it permanant if things go well. It's a great opporunity and I don't have to worry about kid or schools or anything like that since I'd be making the move alone. I live in Kent at the moment, it's a small town with nothing much going on, small high street, few pubs etc and basic public transport links.
I know almost nothing about the area apart from what I've seen on YouTube and online. I spent a week there in March so I have a basic idea what's there in terms of shops, where things are and how to get around but that's about it.
I've spoken to several colleagues who work and live in Wales and they've explained as best as the can how it is there but none of them live in Merthyr so they aren't speeking from direct experiance. The only place outside of town I ventured to was Dowlais when one of the people I might be working with invited me over.
I was hoping for some advice on what life is like there, there's only so much you can learn from looking online.
Hiya,
I’m not from the area but have my driving test upcoming in Merthyr. Have driven round a couple of times and the roads seem fairly straight forward but wondering if anyone had any experience with what routes they typically take you on or the Merthyr test centre in general?
Thanks!

I’m from California, and yesterday I ran into some people from the UK who said this would be an amazing place to visit but I might get my ass kicked. How true is this? Will you guys kill me or just give me a good lick? Haha I want to visit now but don’t want to die for it.
Anyone on here have a spare ticket or a ticket that they do not want anymore if so comment on this or send me a message.
Thank you
Any ideas for where to buy one online with the old logo?
Can anyone help, looking for a room to rent asap and don't really know where to begin looking
Cleaning out the attic this weekend I found a letter. Turns out it was from family in Merthyr. I always was told I'm Welsh and now I have proof. The letter is from the 1950's.
Anyone out there a Thomas?
If so, we could be family!
They lived at 6 Bryntirion St, Dowlais, Merthyr Tydfil CF48 3RY, UK

Hi everyone,
I'm a TV Producer working at Future Studios in London. I'm looking into the 1993 clinical trial for viagra that took place in Merthyr Tydfil and that discovered the drug could be used to treat erectile dysfunction.
Did you or anyone you know take part in the trial? I'd love to speak to you about a potential documentary. Or I'm open to suggestions of how to find participants!
I understand this is a confidential subject so will treat any contact appropriately.
Thanks,
Miles
I’m on holiday here, can anyone tell me how there came to be so much Japanese Knotweed and Himalayan Balsam around in the Valleys, I’ve never seen anywhere as infested!
