bought this game a few years ago and play it ever so often but it would be very fun to actually be in a server with people
I am almost done with the tutorial quests and keep seeing that the modding community, as well as the CE devs, have made this game what it is. I currently haven’t messed with mods, loving the game already, but I am curious as to what y’all would recommend. I do want to keep along the lines of the medieval theme, at least for now 😉 Thanks in advance!
So I have all my graphics setting turned up to the highest they can yet things further than like 200-300m are kinda 8-bit esc, especially character animations. Is this just bc the games not really updated anymore or am I missing a graphics setting?
Also are there any mods that add villages or AI strongholds? There’s not much else to do besides build and fight the occasional bandit that gets too close.
Hi Everyone,
Its been about 10 years since ME released, and I find myself occasionally coming back to this game for the "what could have been". I wanted to reach out to the community & hear your feedback:
What aspects did you like about Medieval Engineers?
What aspects did you NOT like?
What areas of the game could have been improved?
What was your thoughts on when they released the world update? Did you prefer worlds or the original maps?
If someone were trying to recreate a spiritual successor what would you like to see in a new game?
I am toying with some mechanics in UE5 & would love to hear the communities unfiltered thoughts & feedback!
Thanks!
I haven't bought the game but looks interesting. I've got Space Engineers. How does this compare? Thanks
Just a short ride to fend off some barbs on our new horses. Thanks to Peaceman for his amazing mods The mod also includes camels and oxen They can also pull carts. Video done on ME World Vikings US server fully survival mod.
Hey there, a few of my gaming friends have elected to get into Medieval Engineers and we are seeking mod suggestions for our multiplayer server. We are all new to the game, but do like a challenge. Please drop suggestions preferably with links below!
Hey guys, are there any good servers to play in Multiplayer? I really love that game and I think it would make so much fun in Multiplayer but are there still any good servers? I see like 10 Servers in the Serverlist but nearly no one is playing on them. Also thought about making my own server but is that game even being played in Multiplayer? On Steam Charts it says the average Playercount is 23 and that is very depressing.
Hi all! veteran ME player since beta. I've done it all! but this darn quest from the ADM mod is causing me to be stuck. it's asking me to place and build a wall with arrow slit. it's calling it 'cubeblock ADM stonewall with arrow slit' with that sort of text string. i can't search that in ME and i've built every arrowslit wall and block i can find and nothing is completing it.
anyone know what the magic block is that i need to build to complete the additional blocks mod quest 2/3?
I downloaded the Big Island Water World map and since then all worlds have been strictly that map. I've uninstalled and removed it from my list and have deleted all files and saves involving the map but it still only generates the water world. Anyone know how to fix/remove this issue?
I attach a rope to my catapult and it doesn't pull it, I use catch blocks and rope drums and attach the rope to the rope end and the rope drum and try to pull it back by the hand crank but it just doesn't pull back, whats the issue?
So how can one we access the game, can it still be played by anyone?
One of the neat-yet-broken additions in an old official update was worker NPCs that were supposed to collect resources. It was removed, but do Community Edition devs have access to the code and assets, and are they working on it?
I downloaded the “water in ME” mod and didn’t like how the ground under the water is still full of bushes and trees and stuff so I removed it and unsubscribed from it. Even still when I load a new world there’s still water everywhere. Was this added permanently with the community update (just coming back after a few year hiatus) or am I missing something. If someone can explain how to make the water stop appearing in new worlds, or at least change it so the ground “underwater” actually looks proper and not just a random water level plopped on top of the existing textures?
For instance, I want a wall to lay flat, rather than be vertical. Can I do this?
I loved ME and was never super big into the physics stuff. I did love the open world travel, mining, crafting system this game offers.. for some reason it fits a niche that Minecraft, 7DTD, and space engineers can’t scratch. With that being said, does anyone in this sub know of a game with similar early to mid gameplay as ME?
So im assuming this game is just completely dead now. so much for community devs. One update and they abandoned it.
Long time player on PC. recently booted up on my laptop. ran the game for about 2 hours with no lag issues on default settings. built maybe 20 structure blocks and 10 crafting type assets. started the game up and suddenly experiencing lag as if i have a 1995 computer. Anyone have an idea as to what would cause this? especially going from smooth to laggy inbetween closing and opening the game. mods are enabled
I'm attempting to put a roof on my new house and no matter how I try to build this part, (last, first or random timing) I always get this missing the bottom part. Any suggestions for a fix would be appreciated. https://postimg.cc/q66rK2Gw
