Hey there everyone,
I hope you are all having a great day and staying safe out there!
I am sure you are all tired of reading these kinds of posts ans all.. I am just at a total loss..
I am wanting to start my antique coin collection adventures by purchasing my first authentic coin from England during the Queen Elizabeth I era which seems like it's from 1558-1603 AD.
I went on the Wiki/FaQ section on this subreddit to see if I could find any concrete sellers who would sell these kinds of coins. However, it seems like what is posted is way before the era I am looking for.
I am really needing some help/guidance on where and from whom I should purchase my first coin from?
Here are some links on the coin I was thinking of acquiring first. Again though, I am a complete newbie in this wonderful hobby and am just looking for a little guidance on this please.
Thank you so much for reading and take care!
I recently received this Baldwin II of Edessa coin. It was described as 'repatinated'. What exactly does this mean? Is it to be avoided? Appreciate any advice on my ongoing quest to get to grips with crusader coins
Firstly, apologies for the aspect ratio here. Not sure what is going on.
This gros of Behemond VI of the County of Tripoli. On the auction site it had an attribution as an amulet of the Templars. Apart from the understanding that the Templars were in the region, is there any reason to believe it may have a direct association? Any thoughts, references much appreciated.
I am located in the EU (Hungary) and itching for an Edward III Groat (mint or pre/post treaty doesn't matter). What are some big and small online vendors who sell them at reasonable prices? On MA-Shops it's pretty much CDMA (Numiscorner) only.
I don't mind buying from a Redditor if he/she can prove reputation.
Please help! Thanks.
