"On the...can you tell me what is on...what makes up the Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit?"
Answering that without sounding like a smart ass...it was tough.
Did the file they send me through email like w-2, i9 etc, direct deposit etc. now the one who hired me said I need to come in today and wear like black pants and shirt what should I expected to be doing today?she tell me to come int like 5pm will I get my uniform today?
I was so overwhelmed and stressed today I had to hide in the bread room and cry just to feel a tiny bit better.
We’re deep cleaning, and I’m not the best imo lol. What cleaning products do I use for what equipment/etc.? Like specialty cleaner & polish, super contact cleaner, restroom cleaner, and degreaser are the products, but what’s best for what? 😅 I’ve been using specialty cleaner and polish with white paper towels on stainless and it just turns out streaky or swirly? Help? 😅😂(USA)
I have my first shift next week and I have no idea what to do. What do i wear? Do I just go up to the counter and tell them I have my first shift?
My husband works at a corporate store with a problematic GM. He was asked to help out at another store last night due to staffing issues and the GM there was impressed with his work and offered more hours + to train him for a management position if he transferred. Currently husband is on the schedule for 1 day out of the whole week, but is called in every weekday and some weekends because he’s good at his job + reliable + coworkers who are given more hours constantly call off last minute. Husband is happy to transfer, but current GM has a track record (and previously has threatened him and other employees) of firing employees who request transfers.
Is there anything we need to do in order to make this transfer process go smoothly? Husband plans to speak to current GM tomorrow, but I’m worried. Any HR policies for this type of situation?
(Kind of irritated...) "Can you make sure it has the sausage on it? I keep ordering the number one and they're keep giving me the one with the ham!"
Ma'am, that's...probably because...the number one is the one that comes with ham. The sausage one is the number two.
"... ...Oh! Oh, it is! Oh! That IS probably! Okay, can I have the NUMBER TWO with sausage, hahaha."
I checked my schedule and saw on the trade board that I could accept one that already had a name attached (that's been drawn over) to it. No idea what this means though because I've never needed to use the trade board at all, can someone explain this to me please?
Looks like the new promo will be: Big tasty, Big tasty w/bacon, Terry's chocolate orange flurry, Caramel flurry, Caramel hot choc + Caramel latte
Personally im buzzing for the big tasty, im addicted to the sauce 😋
Hey, I've been working in McDonald's for a few months and I didn't mind being away from my phone for the first while, but now it's got really annoying. I've the typical UK uniform. Shirt and Pants (the one without pockets) . I've seen other people carry their phone. Anyone able to help me out? Thanks in advance!
Do you guys have an opening checklist pdf?? I would like to borrow one
We had a doordasher come thru drive thru. We handed him the bags and we walked away becuz he was our last car and we had been slammed for hrs. It was 2am. We came back to the window area to clean and noticed he was still there. He's passed out cold. My drive thru time was in the 1800s. One of my crew opens the window and taps his car glass. The guy looks pissed. He literally rolls down his window to say something and my coworker said " r u ok? U need me to call anyone for u ? He put on the gas and burned rubber with an evil glare at us.
can you use employee discount for friends and family aswell as yourself?
After that they send me an email that need to be filled up like for J and J management what to expect after that the one who interviewed me just text me come in at Thursday @ 1 pm I text back what I need to bring but no response don’t want to be pushy by texting back again what I need to bri g or expect o. Thursday?
My McDonald’s no longer gives you bravo dollars for good work you only get them if you fill out a receipt survey that the customers are supposed to fill out I think it’s really stupid. The whole point of it is to award employees for good work or to show that you noticed they were doing good work. I refuse to do the surveys because I think it’s dumb that they did that.
I'm having huge mental problems in life and it all ties to McDonald's. I feel ashamed that I can't handle it. Why can't it just be a job and why can't i just be happy? Can anybody relate? I am a hard worker. But it all feels so meaningless here. I'm thinking of quitting but feel so guilty and lazy. Ugh what is this emotion
How do yall get the picture of the cars on your pos screen
They have some positives, but the negatives far outweighs the positives.
Positives
Keeps the oil fresh longer
Easy to add new oil or remove old oil assuming your store also has the RTI bulk oil tank system
Negatives
Interface can be confusing for regular crew members. Especially if it's the touch screen version
You NEED to change the filter pads daily, otherwise the pump won't be able to suck up all the oil properly which eventually leads to the pan overflowing oil all over the floor.
The hoses will get old and eventually start leaking as oil runs through them causing a big oil mess on the floor.
The valves will eventually get oil build up causing them to not close all the way and oil will slowly leak out of the VAT and into the pan. Employees that don't know any better will keep filling the VAT with fresh oil which will eventually lead to the pan overflowing oil onto the floor.
The O-Rings on the pan ware out. When that happens, the pump doesn't work properly and won't suck up all the oil eventually leading to the pan overflowing oil on the floor.
If you can't tell already. I'm sick and tired of having to clean oil off the floor because of these new self filtering fryers. Never had these issue with the old school fryers.
I’ve got my shift runner interview this week any advice? I’m in the UK.
Recently, I asked if it’s possible to get an extra set of uniform and my GM told me to just email the store. But idk what to put IN the email itself😭
A month ago I told them that i couldn't do thursday due to after school tutoring and stuff and a week ago i told them that i would be out of the state for a funeral until thursday anyways. I changed out my days though so that way I wouldn't be too much of a burden trying to call off and such..
Today i checked my schedule and they scheduled me for thursday.. and i don't know what to do since the person who did my schedule like never checks availability and it happens to be a holiday that day (halloween) and im not going to be able to call off without a write up. I'm literally so mad and upset right now because i know that either way they're going to get all pussy and difficult with me.
I literally don't know what to do cause they told me that it was okay if i wasn’t scheduled for that day and that i would be out of state… sigh
I went into my local McDonald's a couple of days ago and asked if they were hiring. They told me yes and to apply online or send a text to the number listed on the board. I did, and it said the hiring manager's schedule was full, and they'll reach out in a couple of days to set up an interview. However, I haven't heard back yet. How long did it take for you to hear back?
My ex-husband's mom is a manager at McDonald's and I got a little ahead of myself by promising a friend I could get her young son a hat for his Halloween costume. That didn't work out and now I feel very guilty. The family is struggling in general lately and I really want to help out. I'm going to try calling and going to the locations in my area and begging, but I thought I would try asking here too. Like I said I know it's a long shot, but sometimes you get lucky.
I also welcome suggestions for the best way to go about begging people in person to buy or borrow one from them, because at this point I really feel so guilty about it and don't know what to do because I don't think I can order one quick enough. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.
Maintenance worker here.
Today they asked if I wanted to give management a shot. Specifically kitchen department manager. I told them I would give it a shot if they could find someone to do my maintenance tasks.
I already know how to do inventory counts ( weekly and EOM ) I know how to do truck orders. I know how to enter waste. I know how to transfer things in and out. I know how to cook breakfast and lunch, and assemble breakfast and lunch items.
I guess the things I don't know about the kitchen stuff would be the more technical stuff. For example, the temperature of the products after they are cooked. I know all chicken products should be 165 minimum. That's as far as my knowledge about food temperature goes.
Any tips or advice from current managers to give me a headstart would be super helpful
Hi everyone i work at a maccas in Aus. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for learning the Tills, i’ve been there since may and have really struggled to pick things up and remember what to do. i’ve mostly been on FC but have done 2 sessions up in OT and really struggled as i get nervous when i can’t see the people i’m taking the order for, maybe i lip read a bit accidentally 🤣. I had major surgery (right Hemiocolectomy and appendectomy) at the start of october and going back to work next week and since i still can’t lift much they’ve popped me up in OT, i’m really really nervous as i haven’t worked for 6 weeks (i was on holiday before i had to get emergency surgery!) and they’ve put me on through lunch rush and 6 hours when i asked for short shifts since i can’t really stand. any tips for doing well in OT, and am i able to ask for a chair to sit on? I think a lot of my nervous ness for drive thru is that i’m scared to mess up other peoples cars, on FC it was an easy fix but i’m nervous for OT, i know white a few people get upset and sick of me when i’m on OT because i always have to keep asking for help and it’s embarrassing because they are my age or younger (i’m 17f) but know what to do.
