Kiosk keys

Hey, does anyone know where I can find one of those kiosk opening keys? It’s the circle shape that gets inserted to open up the computer parts of the kiosk. My store only has one and nobody can keep track of it.

Does this exist?

Im really not sure what type of reception I'm going to get on this or if it already exists already but I want to know if a group where managers share best bets with one another and cool things they do already exists as a group or if anyone sees value in one being made? I'd love to be a part of one if it exists or make one if even a few people saw value in it. S

Becoming an OTP 2 (US)

Hey guys so my area supervisor suggested that I take the OTP curriculum. I finished OTP 1 and now I am on track to start OTP 2. My store has no OTPs yet so this will be valuable for me to have. My question is, how is the curriculum for OTP 2 and generally, is there an increase in compensation with the added responsibility? Anything related to the subject will be appreciated. Thanks

(USA) After over 3 years, I was finally shown kitchen and loved it.

For background, I've been in McDonald's for over 3 years now, Service Crew Trainer for over a year and a half. Our store is interesting in that not everyone is trained in everything. So we have separate service and kitchen employees, with very few exceptions that know both. Crew Trainers aren't required to learn kitchen, and there are some managers that don't know kitchen either.

I've wanted to learn kitchen for a long time now, so that I could be put literally anywhere in the store, be my store's jack of all trades, but was never given the chance to. That changed recently where I asked to be trained on a slow day where we had excess service crew, and for the rest of my shift that night after my brief training I was in the kitchen. I was on table most of that time, and I was actually having fun. It was legitimately the most fun I've had working in a long time. No customers, you just enter a zone, keep an eye on product, keep an eye on the screen, and do your best.

I'm taking it seriously, because if I end up entering management, I want to know every position in the store. I want to be able to help out at any station, and eventually with enough training myself, be able to train people in kitchen as well. I just wish I was given this opportunity much earlier. Sadly with how busy our store has become in the past year and with how short staffed our shifts have been, my time in kitchen is likely going to be few and far between as our service is always a struggle compared to in the kitchen, where there are usually enough people. My help is always needed running, at the screens. But I'm hoping that I'll be able to learn more. I feel like this is something I should've been trained on before my promotion, but again, our store is weird and not everything is required.

Just had my second interview

This time it was with the general manager, she asked the same questions as the first interview. At the end she said you'll be hearing back from me. Just wondering how long did it take for you guys to get hired after the interview?

I have an interview at a McConstructionsite

I am currently working at Maccas Australia and there is a new one being built at the moment and should open late this year early next year. I asked a manager how I go about transferring and he said that I need to reapply through Mchire, I did that and now I have an interview at a McConstructionsite. There is no phone number and the stupid McAi won't let me speak to a human or give me a help phone number. I really need some McHelp.

Why am I getting so few shifts?

I’ve been working at mcd since April part time and now suddenly I barely have any shifts in October they scheduled me for a total of 27 hours and September I had 38. I used to work 70-80 a month. How do I get more shifts?

(Aus) so do they want me back or what

I've been working for about 6 months but for the past 3 weeks I couldn't come into my shift because long story short I was really sick that I needed to be hospitalised, while I was ill I contacted my managers telling them whats wrong plus providing them with medical certificates. Today the store manager rung me and asked if I am returning to work she gave me a whole speech on how they hired new people pretty much making it out to be my fault I was sick. My problem is my hours have been cut to about 3 hours and from what the store manager was saying it seems like they don't want me back.

(AUS) How do I know when I start?

I have finally gotten hired as a new crew member and I activated and created an account. But I don't know when they want me to come in since I went onto the website to check out whats on it.

Is there any tips and expectations I should have when I start as a new member?

(AUS) Would McDonalds be good on resume, if I am already working as a swimming teacher?

I want to develop my customer service skills, so will working at McDonalds be a good choice. I am 19 years old, and have 3 years of experience as a swimming teacher already, and got an offer to work at McDonalds. Should I work at mcdonalds alongside my current job? Also, how many hours will I be given, or should I deny the offer?

Also mc donalds is a much faster paced environment so will employers like that for my experience, or is my current job good enough?

should i get trained on front counter

hi, so ive been at mcdonalds for a little under a month now working specifically in the kitchen. i chose to work in kitchen cuz i was more comfortable away from customers, but should i get trained on fc? we don’t have a drive thru cuz our store is located in a shopping centre so that’s not part of fc. im pretty shy and socially awkward so would y’all recommend me doing it or not?? also how do I go abt getting trained there, do I just say to the manager hey can I be trained on fc? thanks!!

(AUS) Getting a Account Synchronization Error

Hello, I finally got hired today and I received the invitation to join but every time I try to activate my account I keep getting a 106 Error and it's telling me it's a Account Synchronization Error.

I like to start fights amongst little kids in family cars by giving unmatched toys in happy meals.

Kids are usually jealous and/or greedy. Not always but usually. To stir the proverbial s**t pot, if we have older toys or last weeks toys mixed in, I would distribute a different toy per box. Why you ask? I don't know. I just do.

(AUS) Did I get hired or not?

Hello, I needed some clarity please. Recently so on the 15th Sep, I did a interview in the store that I applied and it seemed to go well since within 2 days I was emailed a Right to Work and then had me send a background check. It seemed to go well but then fast forward to right now (27th Sep) I haven't gotten a single email sent to me at all within these 2 weeks.

Now there was a phone call during this time. A random number, it called me like 5 different times on 5 different days sometimes more than once in a single day.

I did search the random number on google and saw it was some sort of survey that calls you. Yeah now I'm really worried that it wasn't a scam call and it was actually the hiring person calling me. But the Maccas phone number that I applied to had completely different number than the number I was called from.

So I have no idea what I should do. Should I call them and ask for a follow up? or Should I continue to wait? This is literally giving me anxiety.

First day expectations?

A bit of background on me: I’m a corporate bro (27) who got into some legal mess and have to temporarily take up this job to manage court costs. I’ve never worked in a restaurant setting, let alone fast food, so I have no idea what even to expect. I’ve always worked in an office, but I was told the location I applied for needed help in the kitchen, and was given a schedule of 4am-12noon. What all should I expect to be tasked with?

Just had an interview got called back for a 2nd one with the general manager.

What does this mean? I've seen a lot of people says if you don't get hired the same day then they aren't gonna hire you. I'm just confused why I have to come back, epically because I think the interview went amazing.

[AUS] busy months

hi hi! just wanted to ask if december-january are one of the busiest months at maccas in aus and therefore require a greater number of crews compared to what we usually have now? and also, will the shifts be given to highschool kids since they’re much cheaper to pay? I’m 19 (turning 20 in january) and worried that my work hours will be cut down since I’ve noticed that everytime it’s their school holidays, I only get rostered one shift. My store is mainly composed of highschool kids and majority are casual including me. I’ll be away starting february and by that time they’re already starting school again. I’m kinda brooding with the fact that I might missed a good opportunity to earn good money by being away in february because again, they’ve started school by that time.

Officially 10 days since I was hired, when do I start my first day?

Title basically, I had my interview 10 days ago and the lady said "we're losing a lot of people and I'd like to hire you"

After the interview I got an email with all the stuff to sign and fill out. I even got a confirmation text saying I completed the process of getting hired and that I just wait for them to call me in.

Well I've been waiting and now I getting anxious. My family are convinced that I'm not really hired. I can't find anymore information on the hiring process online so I'm just hoping they call me in any day now.

Has anyone else have to wait this long?
