It wasn’t confirmed to me I was on jury duty until a few hours ago, but unfortunately it was 40 minutes before the office closed and I didn’t get a chance to call them back, and they open basically the day I need to be there, problem being I realized I don’t have transportation to get there.

I could suck it up and call an Uber but I’d rather not since I live a ways a way and I’d be expensive, I only have one car in the household unfortunately and it is being used.

Is there anything I can do? Does anyone know of reimbursement for transportation? Is there any office that’s open on weekends I could contact?

Yes I realize it was stupid on my part not to verify the route a bit a ways away, but if anyone could help with any information it would be greatly appreciated!

I’m 18 but I’m still under my parents insurance and they have StateFarm. I got my ticket today in McKinney going 52 in a 40. I’m choosing to do a defensive driving class and show up to court in the next few days and hopefully finish the course by this week. My question is would their insurance immediately notify them about my ticket?? I called the court and they said it’ll take 48-72 hours for my citation to be in the system

Does anyone know somewhere in McKinney, Anna, or otherwise near by that has live music or at least loud music. I'd like to sit and eat and get some drinks maybe?

To make a very long story short, we were feeding a stray that gave birth to kittens in late June. Now we're looking for a home for them or a shelter that can take them in. They're all very affectionate and sweet, we just don't have the room for three cats in our tiny house. The kittens are both orange, one is a boy (Diesel) and the other is a girl (Clutch). The tortico is the mama (Tokyo Drift), but she doesn't act like a tortie at all, she's very clingy and affectionate. Please DM or comment if you're interested in any of them. I checked out common desk in the square, but it seems overpriced for what you get access to ($150 for 8 day passes that don’t roll over — I’d rather just go to a really good coffee shop 😅).

I (27F) recently moved to the area and into a new construction. I have never seen so many spiders/bugs inside and outside. Giant wolf spiders the size of my palm making themselves at home, even bigger garden spiders taking over every corner of my backyard, small brown spiders behind every door and cabinet, black widows in hidden spaces, random earwigs, and ants galore.

Calling pest control to see if the issue is improper sealing of my home (I sure hope not!!!)… but I guess I’m wondering, will this be an issue forever or is it just because of the new construction? I’m losing my mind feeling icked out. I know most of these spiders are helpful but all I can ever think about is all the bugs surrounding me. We keep an extremely clean home but that doesn’t seem to make a difference at all. Is this normal? Did I buy a crappy house? I’m losing my mind with all these dang bugs LOL
