I copied and pasted below the first two paragraphs from the recent newsletter of the Carolina Association for Passenger Trains. This organization held a joint meeting with a new group with similar goals as CAPT. There is more to the article and would encourage anyone reading to join CAPT and/or the WNC group.
----------------------------
TWO RAIL ADVOCACY ORGANIZATIONS HAVE JOINT MEETING -- On Saturday, July 16th, the
Carolinas Association for Passenger Trains (CAPT) held its regular business meeting in Marion,
NC. However, this gathering was unique in that it was also a joint meet with the newly
constituted Western North Carolina Rail Committee. The committee has now incorporated
itself and is an organization with dues-paying members, officers, and regular meetings.
The purpose in holding a joint meeting was to allow members of CAPT to learn more about
what the Western North Carolina Rail Committee has done and is doing in the western part of
the state. Representing the group at this meeting were Co-Chairs, Ray Rapp, former State
Representative, and Steve Little, an attorney and the current Mayor of Marion, NC. It should
be noted that Steve is also an accomplished historian and author of several books on
railroading history in the western part of North Carolina.
So here is the picture of the grave marker of T. L. Carver, murdered by a lying McDowell County sheriff that claimed the strikers fired first, though no guns were ever found on the six strikers that were murdered.
I left the red rose when I visited his grave site last week.
I'll be traveling through Marion in a few days and would like to place a flower or two on the known gravestones of those that were murdered during the 1929 textile strike.
Does anyone have information on grave locations? I know one was buried in Va, and I have pictures of two gravestones and the others have been lost to history or don't have a marker.
Out of Asheville NC this morning 1/10/2020:
"Please be advised, there is a spike happening in central/downtown Asheville which began yesterday and continues today. Individuals are consistently reporting using meth and not knowing it was tainted. Due to the volume of overdoses in such a short time, I am sending this out to those who can get to participants the fastest on the weekend. A wider alert may go out on Monday should the spike continue.
Thank you for all each of you do to save lives."
Has anyone bought kiln dried firewood from this place? Was it good? Cost? What is the pickup situation? Worth it?
Hello again,
Just wondering what company y'all use for areas where satellite internet is the only option. It seems only HugesNet and Viasat are the only providers. Is one really better than the other? Leaning towards Viasat.
Thanks again!!
Hello,
Moving to Marion soon and just wondering what the winters are like in the area. Is it worth it to buy a sled for the kids? Thanks in advance and have a nice day!
Madison Cawthorn said "No Dark Money." Remember the April YOUTUBE.

Enough-is-enough. We have 4 Super PACs supporting Madison Cawthorn: Conservative Leadership Fund ($850K), Protect Freedom PAC ($500K+), Liberty PAC ($114K), and Club For Growth Action PAC ($200K+).
Liberty PAC is the latest Super PAC and is worth discussing. Why? The U.S. government sent them a "termination letter" on July 15, 2020. All we know is they are based in Shawnee, Kansas. They are considered "fake" due to no records.
***
End Game Consulting (Oklahoma) used The Liberty PAC to funnel $114,740.00 (the key document) for a “door-to-door canvasing program.” This is the definition of "dark money." We don't know the donor list for the PAC, amounts the donor's give, etc.
***
I went to research the consulting company. KaLeigh Long is the CEO, End Game Consulting. The cattle industry is a current client. She represents South Africans (see "Save Us By April") too.
On LinkedIn, The Conservative Leadership PAC has a website but it's a FAKE PAC. No FEC filings.

To use this as an example:
Lobbyists, like KaLeigh Long, will visit him often. KaLeigh is very professional and will connect with Madison to get her clients to see him. I believe MADISON CAWTHORN KNOWS HER NAME, since he accepts the PAC's help.
There will be a clear message: we helped you win, and we want these priorities.
Her clients will call him, will visit his office, and will corner him at a party to get their message across to him.
I believe his time in Washington, DC will be focused on her client's priorities. This is NOT good for Western North Carolina.

On October 15: we will see Moe Davis FEC filing.
Madison Cawthorn claims Congress is “60% “Liberal Lawyer”” and "we should not send another one to Congress." LIAR!

Source Information: The Congressional Research Service
Report Date: July 22, 2020
Lawyers are no more than 37% of the total. Liberal Lawyers are probably less than half of that total. How do I know? In the report, go to Table 2. The top three categories of jobs: 183 in Business, 145 in Law/Law enforcement, and 73 Education. Do the math.
What are the other careers noted by Congressman? Let's Read the Report on CONGRESS and THEIR RESUMES.
1 flight attendant, 1 pilot, 7 ordained ministers, 3 police officers, 1 sheriff, 1 police chief, 1 fire fighter, 1 FBI agent, 3 radio talk show hosts, 6 reporters/journalists, 5 car dealership owners, 2 coffee shop owners, 1 wine store owner, 1 whiskey distiller, 27 farmers/ranchers/cattle farm owners, 1 artist, 3 peace corp. volunteers, 10 members in the construction industry, 6 social workers, 3 professional football players, 1 emergency dispatcher, 1 letter carrier, 1 animal nutrition specialist, 1 electrician, 1 rodeo announcer, and 1 carpenter.
29 veterans of the real estate industry AND 89 former Congressional staffers (not people like Madison in regional offices).
95 Members have worked in education, including teachers, professors, instructors, school fundraisers, counselors, administrators, or coaches.
3 veterinarians, 5 dentists, 2 nurses, 1 PA, 1 optometrist, 13 physicians, 2 psychologists, 1 physicist, 1 chemist, 11 engineers, 20 PR/communication professionals, 6 software company executives, 19 management consultants, 12 bank/bank executives, 4 venture capitalists, 21 insurance agents or executives, 1 public television producer, 2 newspaper publisher,
41 former mayors, 13 former governors, 7 lieutenant governors, 16 former judges, 42 prosecutors, 2 former Cabinet members, 3 Ambassadors

Bottom line: Madison Cawthorn GRAND-STANDS. Elected Officials have RESUMES.
