A couple disagrees about what kind of toilet to install in their cabin at the camp that they own.
Gaun2let is what I have decided the second season should be called. Anyhow, two game suggestions if we should ever be so lucky as to get a second edition of the Game Gauntlet.
Two games that are definitely playable, and I think kinda good (one is awesome, IMO), but definitely weird as hell--
Fester's Quest, NES. A game I played a lot as a kid and never could beat the first boss. It's ostensibly an Addams Family game where you play as Uncle Fester in a top-down shooter in which you fight aliens who have kidnapped the family and all its inhabitants.
Incredible Crisis, PS1. I think this game rules, personally. You play a Japanese family all trying to get home for grandma's birthday. Each member of the family experiences an Incredible Crisis ranging from (again) alien invasion, bank robbery, dance competition, trivia contest in the back of an ambulance, etc. It's a whole bunch of mini-games and it's bonkers. OH! And, Jordan, the entire game is scored by the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra!
Looking for podcast recommendations (and specific episodes) for a long car ride with someone I don’t know well (in this case, a coworker).
Something easy to jump into for one episode or a bunch. Swears OK.
Note: we agreed to share podcasts with each other, so I’m not forcing it on them! What are your go-to podcasts for road trips with company?
My partner and I realized we had enough points to get us to LA for the February JJHO live show. SO EXCITED! We have flights down—into Burbank, out John Wayne—and a car. But now I’m wondering: where should we stay?
I used to visit LA regularly for work but that was pre-pandemic and DTLA isn’t the vibe for this trip. Oceanside is a bit pricey and we’re fine to visit rather than having to stay somewhere proximate. Since the airports are on opposite ends, there’s a lot of area to choose from!
Should we stay near MacArthur park/the venue to have the option to walk? Or will there be rowdy street life that would worry my worry-talented partner? Also, is Pie ‘n Burger really good or just reliable? Either way we’re going but want expectations managed 😂
Appreciate any advice!! Seeing JJGO/JJHO live will clearly be the highlight of the trip. Everything else is frosting!!
There is an episode of JJgo where the king of drugs highly recommends an antidepressant. It's not an SSRI as they interfere with his migraine medication. My psychiatrist says she will write me the prescription if I can get her the name. I know it's a little after he finally gets a medical marijuana card if anyone knows what episode that is. Please and thank you
What gives????
This podcast is exactly in line with my brand of dorky. A new favourite that I hope will extend to other countries when it runs out of states!
That's all. Just really happy with the new show!
An entire sub devoted to a cat who carries various things from room to room: r/harpo
The cat version of r/onegoldenbraincell: r/oneorangebraincell (I think the cat version existed first)
