Howdy,
I’m good at many things in life but knife sharpening is not one of them despite many tutorials and hours spent in frustration. Can anyone recommend a professional local knife sharpening service?
How does this work in terms of home whole running? I would have solar panels outside (not on roof) and they would then have to be attached to the battery to store energy? I’m new to solar generators. I’ve had whole home gas generators in the past and no matter how many videos I watch I can’t quite comprehend how the energy is stored and then used by my home. Explain it to me like I’m 6?
Boeing submits their layoff notice to Employment Security.
I’ve seen close calls in that intersection since the construction site started. Heading west down 64th is a blind spot since cars are coming from the top of the hill, and those coming out of 76th will have issues peaking out from the side because of the cones and site blocking some of their views. Does anyone know when that will be done?
Drive safe, everyone!
Welcome to the first-ever Marysville subreddit!
Nestled here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Marysville, WA, has a community ready to connect, share, and grow. This is the subreddit dedicated to our city and its surrounding areas.
Exciting changes are on the way! I'm planning a small remodel to bring in new links, chat options, and other features to enhance the reddit experience.
If you have suggestions for new labels, flair ideas, or anything else you’d love to see added, please share them in the “Remodeling r/Marysville” post. Your input is valuable—let’s make this a space that truly represents Marysville!
Thank you,

172nd/Smokey Point, they said both Marysville and Arlington would have a location.
Can anyone recommend a cheap locksmith to replace the deadbolt on my house?
I know it’s a pretty simple task, but I’m in the middle of moving and don’t have any tools handy, and I’ve never done it myself before. Most places are charging around $150 and I can’t afford that much.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
🚨 Attention voters! There are now less than five hours left before ballot boxes close! If you haven’t voted yet, now is the time. Make sure to drop your completed ballot in an official ballot drop box—do not use the post office at this point to ensure your vote is counted. If you plan to vote in person, make a plan and head to your polling station now. Every vote matters, and your voice can make a difference! 🗳️
To the people who waste their time complaining about the school quality and issues, you have to actually put in effort, if you really care about the children, then volunteer at the schools, it would really help, and it would foster a healthier environment for the kids, and the parents. So if you have the time, go volunteer, it’s the best thing you could do, not for the schools, for the KIDS.
It's fall, it's foggy and dark and the deer are everywhere. Watch out for them because they are not watching out for you.
They need to close down the school district as opposed to some of the schools. This school district is a literal joke and by reading around on here it’s been like this for YEARS. At this point there is no saving the school district and with the quality of the schools why would we? The schools are run down the students don’t want to be there and I’m sure it’s because they have realized the teachers don’t want to be there either. The citizens should feel ashamed of themselves letting the schools in their city operate the way that they have. I only hope the schools in the surrounding areas are better, the children deserve it. You all are welcome to fight me all you want but the facts speak for themselves and there wouldn’t be a million issues if the schools were thriving. Close Marysville schools, our students DESERVE BETTER.
Hi all. I have some clothing and household items I’d like to donate as I declutter at home. I’m aware that Value Village and Goodwill except donations. Are there any other places that would benefit more then a for profit location in Marysville? Thanks!

Anyone else see the large smoke in the mountains when you’re driving towards Granite Falls?
I’m moving to the marysville area and I’m looking for a church with service between Thursday and Saturday. If anyone has recommendations I would appreciate it.
There is a semi truck and a whole lotta first responders on the highway, the front seems to have gone off the edge and the end is diagonal across it…?
Just moved and don’t know what I need to do to prep my Outback for the winter. Any suggestions?

Hey Marysville!
On Oct 3rd, I contacted Julio Cortes for State Rep. Julio Cortes team to request a town hall/debate online or in a hybrid format to allow for maximum accessibility for the public to attend and participate. I talked to his campaign manager on and off for a few days. Julio himself didn't respond until October 15th and he turned me down. This is very anti democratic because friendly debate is part of being a candidate. Considering that Julio rarely talks about policy or the issues he cares about, I thought he would want to do this to help inform voters. I think its important to engage in a conversation with each other on the issues voters care about the most.
Candidates are often pretty busy but this is an important part of being a candidate. I'm only asking for a hour of his time and we can do this online, so he can participate from home or anywhere. Also, he apparently has time for a networking event his campaign just announced, but he can't set aside 60 minutes for a town hall?!
If you would like to see us discuss important issues like cost of living, housing, healthcare, please consider sending him a email to let him know you want to see us debate! There's still time to set something up in the next 2 weeks! Please tell Julio that you think debate is important by emailing him at: julio@electjuliocortes.com
I'll keep y'all posted. Thank you!
Hey Marysville! I’m John Snow, a Navy veteran and candidate for State Senate in Washington’s 39th Legislative District, and I’m reaching out to talk about what’s at stake for our community.
Marysville is facing real challenges, from school funding shortages to skyrocketing property taxes. Our current State Senator, Keith Wagoner, has repeatedly voted against measures that would help our community, including sensible tax reforms that could ease the burden on homeowners and boost local services, specifically voting against the "Nothing About Us Without Us" that aimed to have more citizen involvement in legislation when it effects their communities the most. We need leadership that’s willing to prioritize the needs of working families, not big corporations.
I’m focused on making life more affordable by lowering property taxes and supporting small farmers, protecting local jobs, and pushing for rural transportation improvements. Unlike my opponent, I support union rights and common-sense policies that build our local economy, not undermine it.
I believe in pragmatic, common-sense leadership that addresses the issues we face daily. If you're ready for a change, I ask for your support to flip this district and bring real solutions to Marysville.
Together, we can make a difference! Donate here to support our campaign, and let’s work toward a better future. https://secure.actblue.com/donate/elect-john-snow-1
Would you?
Where's the best place to go to meet singles? I'm newer in the area. Obviously the casino isn't the place to go to meet women and I don't want to drive all the way to Seattle every weekend. It just seems impossible to meet a woman with a good head on her shoulders with her life together.
