Does anyone know the actual chronological reading order for Marvel’s Blood Hunt storyline? I keep seeing different reading lists in various orders, and it’s confusing to figure out the right sequence
I'm reading through Hickman's Marvel Saga. I'm on Infinity and the guide says to read Infinity #1 but I can't find that comic. There are some titles called Infinity within Avengers and New Avengers but those don't seem like the right ones.
Is that comic on Unlimited? If so, could I get some help finding the correct comics for Infinity?
Was wondering since my dad reads the comics, should I start in the silver age and if so, can I just start at the first ever run of the avengers or where?
Crossover issues that focus on the Fantastic Four and X-Men working together.
Thanks in advance!
Does anyone know if they dropped the 10% discount on Shop Disney for Marvel Unlimited subscribers… it looks like it just disappeared and I can’t find any info on it.
I’m not sure exactly what it’s called but when you choose to make the reader zoom in and have a guided read…sometimes the panels are out of order. It’s happened twice on the last two comics I’ve read Ultimate Spider-Man 84 and Ultimate XMen 54 where the panels are out of order and I get confused on what’s happening. Any help would be appreciated!
Recently subscribed to marvel unlimited and all I can say is wow ….. so many comics. It is a little overwhelming.
I have read the new ultimate series which have been great but now I’m trying to figure out where to start….Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
(I used to be a huge marvel comics fan collect for over 15 years (1990s to 2011). I was mainly a x-men fan but keen to break out into anything)
Some awesome options for me to explore Thank you
I think it’s a bug but I’m losing most of the xmen comics i had in my digital app, idk what’s going on.
I think it has to do with some of them now being available on the app for everyone and some how it messed it being part of my collection.
To anyone that got to use the promotional code for the Venom Omnibus: did you receive an email afterwards to confirm your address?
I got the deal, and it showed the code as part of the payment screen. I haven’t received anything related to the Omnibus shipping though, so I’m getting a bit worried.
Edit: got the email after one day.
New issue will bring uploaded every Tuesday or Monday night at 11:00 pm if your in central time zone like me
I understand why they exist in print. But why are they promoted on MU? Is the scan better? Are the smart panels done better?
Sometimes I can get through a single issue, but rarely. The whole screen turns black and you have to exit that specific issue and go back out to the main menu. Usually fixes it, but it happens often enough it's a problem. Marvel told me to try Chrome instead. Still happens.
Regardless of the platform, the app is very bad in terms of UX. It's hard to open the options menu of the issues. The offline feature doesn't always work well, and it's slow. On top of that, there are bugs here and there, and the search is funky.
The UI seemed designed in early 2010. This is a shame considering the value of the service.
I'm wondering if they will never consider a redesign of the app.
Are there any promo codes available rn?
X-Force was one of my favourite series' from the first releases during Dawn of X. The overall lore and connectivity to larger themes and ongoings in Krakoa is super interesting, and it's got a solid cast of characters. The idea of a sort of black ops CIA type group is fun and once again I like the geopolitical aspects of this run. As always, some minor spoilers throughout.
This series did a great job of setting up some larger, overarching villains that are still weaving through the plots of a few different runs where I am now. XENO is a fairly interesting group and the Russian ties have been a cool aspect of the larger story.
With a cast of characters familiar to me, like Beast, Wolverine, Jean Grey, Colossus and Domino, as well as some that I was less familiar with, like Kid Omega, Sage and Black Tom Cassidy, this run did a great job of balancing these characters, putting spins on them I didn't expect, or just generally providing a good amount of depth and character development throughout.
Beast really takes the main stage here, and I love what writer Benjamin Percy has done with him. His descent into madness throughout the run has been a fun and interesting story beat, especially for someone who mostly knows Beast from the 90s cartoon where he's just such a genuinely good person. Seeing him teter on the edge of villainy with his “for the greater good” decisions is super compelling.
Colossus and Domino, who I don't know that well, have had some really great depth and development throughout, both of them being put through the ringer early on and figuring out how to cope afterwards.
Quentin Quire has had some really good development through this run. Being my first exposure to him, I immediately understood why folks voted him the “character made to be hated” in the X-Men sub earlier this year. He's truly insufferable at first, but through his relationship with one of the Cuckoos (I can't remember which one), the humanization of his character is well done.
Black Tom and Sage are both really interesting and fun here too, although I do wish both of them got a little more time on the page for development. I love Tom's power set and he helps add some great humour, but I want more of him. Sage is a great “guy in the chair” but I wouldn't mind knowing more about her motivations as a character throughout.
Some of these stories were super cool and compelling. I really enjoy the beginning with Xavier's death, Domino and later Quentin being used for XENO, and Colossus’ whole side story here is intense and heart wrenching. Beast's forray with Terre Verde was particularly dark and feeling the slow and steady fallout from these stories is really well done. Plots get threaded early and picked up continuously throughout the run and I find it really well done.
Stray Observations and Questions:
Did Xavier's death really worry anyone? The idea behind it was interesting, especially knowing he expected something like it was cool, but I definitely didn't expect him to stay dead for a second.
I'm currently still at the start of Destiny of X, and Colossus has joined the Quiet Counsel but is a pawn in his brother's game. I'm excited for this to play out more.
The art for a bit of this series left something to be desired. Some characters were drawn really ugly. Didn't make note of which artists, but it's one of the few runs where I really noticed I didn't like the art style.
u/Verb_Noun_Number mentioned hearing this series was gratuitously violent and edgy. What do you guys think? I didn't find too much of that here, and was more enthralled by the story than off put by anything like that, but it definitely is a bit more violent than some of the other Krakoan series.
What were your thoughts on this series? It seems like it continues to run for a while, does Ben Percy stay on and does the quality stay high?
I’m new to the app but was successfully able to add Ultimate Spider-man 1-10 without issue.
Tried to redeem Ultimates 1-5 but issue 2 has no code. It directs me to /redeemhelp so they can email me a code but it’s not on the drop down list. I guess I waited too long?
Issue 3 redeemed fine but I do have double redemption stickers. Worth something for printing error maybe?
Issue 4 I tried retyping the code and it’s not redeeming. There’s no zeroes or the letter “o” which did trip me up before.
I was going to sign up for the Venom Omnibus Deal but the payment screen just reloads endlessly. I guess they don't want my money. :(
What are your thoughts now that the series was added? First issue isn't bad, in my opinion.
I redeemed some codes on some early comics, I’ve never redeemed digital codes before is it a bad idea to do it before release day? I didn’t even think about until after I did it. Another question is when I scanned the Ultimate X-men code gave me Issue 7 of the 616 X-men series which doesn’t release until next month, but the problem is I don’t see these issues on my unlimited account, does it take time for them to appear or did I mess up and redeem them to early? I would really love to read that new X-men issue early if it would let me I was also wondering if they put the wrong code in the Ultimate X-men book or if it was just giving me a random upcoming issue, since when I scanned the spiderman code it gave me that same comic issue (which also isn’t showing on my account) Answers to my questions would be great thanks!!
A couple of months ago i started a marvel unlimited subscription primarily to get the knight spider that was being advertised but at the time, since it wasnt available to ship yet and some people were claiming they were getting nova, i opted to just take advantage of the promo they had at the time, now that i'm close to finishing my promo period i was wondering what would happen if i upgraded to the yearly subscription? Would i get the knight spider or would i get nova? I really dont want to get the nova figure since i dont have much interest for it but it seems the knight spider is no longer available (or atleast they arent promoting it anymore)? Is it sold out or whats up with the figure? Any advice on what i should do?
I know it's been mentioned before, but there really should be links between issues anywhere another issue is mentioned. Especially those event crossover back pages with the checkmarks. The technology is already there. The problem is all the work of setting those links.
Maybe that's something fans could do? Crowdsourcing with authenticated volunteer editors? I bet you could even get volunteers to make any required updates to the app.
I started reading it today and the first issue starts with Peter no longer being spider-man and another spider-man taking his place. What am I missing and what should I read beforehand?
I'm going through all the titles on MU from A to Z, but having to scroll through them all on the same screen is really tedious -- you have to start over at A each time if the process is disrupted. So is there another way to browse the entire catalogue of titles, like starting with any given letter? I want to be as thorough as possible.
i cani get rid of my old subscription it wont let me resubscription
So i read all the comics where Jane Foster is the Thor. Amazing stories, even made me cry sometimes, loved every single bit of it. But i read it all, do u guys have any sugestion of similar comics or "if u liked that you may like this"
I like the Epic collections since they put things in a good reading order. Before I spend a night doing it myself, I wanted to make sure there wasn’t already an excel sheet or something that broke down the order off all issues in each Epic. Hope this makes sense.
