Slight rant but I downloaded several comics on my ipad before a weekend trip and on the first day I read a few issues no problem. Around 3-4 days later I try to pick up where I left off and now none of them can be opened.
I can reach the Library section -> Downloads tab to reach my downloads but besides that none of them open. I’ve downloaded around 20 issues total, even sat and waited for them to load but to no avail.
After around 15 minutes of leaving the app open, the comic I clicked on several times started popping up and closing repeatedly until finally loading, but now I can’t close out to get to the next issue.
I’m not sure what the app’s issue is with recognizing that there is no connection (it always takes its sweet time to go online) and generating available offline data. It feels like a cheap black market product when this paid app feature has been implemented for several years.
Sorry for the rant but it’s frustrating and I didn’t know if there were any workarounds to this problem.
I want to start X-Men including all spin off series starting after the Scott Lobdell run and Operation Zero Tolerance but before the Morrisons Run and E is for Extinction, I know this era is considered bad but I'm curious I was wondering if starting each series with each issue and reason I list would be an okay starting point?
Uncanny X-Men #350 Start of Steven Seagle Run
X-Men #70 Start of Joe Kelly Run
X-Force #70 Start of the "Road Trip" era X-Force
X-Factor #140 Leads into Mutant X
Cable #48 Hellfire Hunt Leads into Casey Run
Generation X #33 start of Hama Run
X-Men Unlimited #17 takes place after Operation Zero Tolerance
Wolverine #119 End of Hama run
Excalibur #106 start of Raab run
Deadpool #1 start of Kelly run
and I'm skipping X-Man and Alpha Flight except for X-Man issues that tie in with Cable, Excalibur, Generation X and X-Force. Thanks 🙂
hey guys any idea how i can get the promo?always get this screen. I can sub it with new account tho
as i remember the promo valid until 5 dec, and now only until 2 dec?
Trying with new account, but then the page keeps reloading
Just finished Agent of Asgard and I didn’t see this panel show up anyone know what comic it’s from?
I just bought the year of Marvel Unlimited. I'm a big fan of Spider-Man and wanting to dive into the comics. Do you guys recommend reading chronologically or do you just read what is good? I would love recommendations!
A few months ago, I bought the $30 annual sub deal to gift to myself, but I haven't used it yet. And of course now there's the $45 offer. The email for the $30 deal didn't say it expires (and I think it might even specifically say it doesn't?), so could I use the $45 deal now, and then next year extend using the $30? Or does the gift have to be used by a new subscriber? Any good way to stack these?
I downloaded Marvel Unlimited for the free trial and started reading the new Ultimate Spider-Man. It’s so good, and I was intrigued at who this Maker is. I’ve not read marvel comics in a few years, so I started looking him up. WOW. So that brought me to wanting to read his back story which is really 20 years worth of books. This is really a rabbit hole, and I don’t think I quite realized it. It’s a little intimidating, but exciting, too.
hello, i am trying to get into reading comics and decided to get marvel unlimited. however when i try to sign up for the 50% off annual subscription... all i get is this nonstop refreshing page. when i press the "x" on the refresh and enter my info, it won't let me pick a country therefore i can't join. anyone know what to do to fix this? i've tried multiple different browsers, accounts, and checked my wifi. this is a marvel issue. i emailed support a few days ago and never got a reply aside from the automated one.
Much like DCUI. They’d have to start removing kids content as there’s some App Store nonsense about adult content not being mixed with kids content
So the app would have to be labeled “for adults only. Kids not allowed”
This would mean yeah you’d get max books and the current red band stuff
But anything remotely kids related would be removed so all the marvel adventures stuff for example and perhaps even the all ages infinity comics too like it’s jeff would be removed in such a scenario to avoid drawing in a younger crowd
All that aside would that really be worth it just to have some old max books and a couple red band books?
Searching for some Marvel Unlimited Ghost Rider issues on Google, I've found links that seem to take you to collected editions (masterworks and TPBs) on MU. They have a cover and all, but when you click on "Read" the pages are all non-existent.
These are some examples:
Do they work for you? Do you know what they can be?
Any input welcome!
I thought about getting an iPad Air 11" 1TB which even on deep discounts or black friday deals it still only drops a $100 off to being $999 and thought about Android Tablets...STILL ALLOW MICRO SD FORMAT AS INTERNAL!
Only ones I knew about were Fire Tabs due to them being the ones I usually used extensively & Onn Tabs (sadly have yet to own one, but the 12" is super tempting). Sadly both Samsung & Lenovo apparently ONLY DO External Portable Storage for Micro SD Cards on their models nowadays and no more Internal Expansions.
Hence tried it out and bulk downloaded comics/mangas & also finally dipped into Apps that Do Not Allow: Saving to Micro SD Card.
After hours later, went offline and everything loads up miraculously quick.
I know there are no more restrictions on how much can be downloaded, BUT can anyone give an answer on when titles expire? Can they be renewed simply by going online and clearing cache?
Has anybody seen/heard news about the House of Harkness infinity comic?
Its been a few weeks since the last update, I’m assuming the writer/artist just needed a break?
I want to get into the Black Suit saga but I'm not sure if Amazing Spider-Man #252, Spectacular Spider-Man #90 and Marvel Team-Up #141 are a good starting point for Spider-Man I've read Roger Stern Asm and Mantlo Spectacular runs are a better start but am i missing anything important with just starting with Secret Wars then heading into The Tom Defalco and Al Milgrom runs of Amazing and Spectacular? Thanks 🙂
I want to read all of the Krakoan Age stuff, but I don't know exactly what I'm looking for on MU. Help would be appreciated
I'll be honest, when the Krakoa Era of X-Men began, I thought it was an awful idea. But over time, I started to appreciate the storytelling that was being done and the continuity that had developed. For the first time in a long time it felt like the X-Men had evolved and were moving forward. When the Krakoa Era ended, I was hopeful that the progress would continue but, so far with what I've read of the new era, that hasn't been the case.
Everything just feels too disjointed right now and like there isn't a central X-Men team. All the mutants are randomly dispersed into different titles with little rhyme or reason. I guess the Cyclops team is the "main" team, but then you also have Wolverine off with an X-Men team so it feels like we regressed back to Schism but with less drama lol. Just disappointing. I hope something happens in the future to make the X-Men feel "whole" again, but I'm missing the boldness of the Krakoa Era. Anyone else feel the same? And if you disagree, which of the new series have been your favorite so far?
I just read Atlantis Attacks and have been coincidentally reading Conan stories. Like or hate the series is really neat seeing how this god has affected the marvel universe. I was wondering if there are any connections between G.I Joe and Set
Any recommendations for an easy read outside the big names? Been getting into Squirrel Girl which also had Howard the Duck spin off as an example.
I’m always getting this message when trying to redeem the code - is there any way around it?
I go through the nessage I received in app. Also i’m in eurooe if this matters in any way
Samsung, ipad? whats best?
I’ve been trying to sign up for the past 3 days. When I get to the pay screen where you input the CYBER24 code it will just constantly keep loading the screen. Sometimes it will load and I’ll input my info but the join box stays grey. Anyone else? I tried reaching out to customer support and they’re trying to say somethings wrong with my cards but I’ve tried multiple.
i can't find Uncanny X-Men #94 for some reason. is it on Unlimited?
Anyone contact support to see what’s up?
Loving having MU but reading on my phone can be a chore. (60 Yr old eyes don't help). Looking for a cheap tablet that will run MU. Any suggestions gratefully received. I bought a older tablet for £40 on ebay hoping it would work but after loading the app it said incompatible with OS version or some such. Don't want to waste anymore money!! Edit. Thanks everyone. Just purchased a Samsung a9 plus on black Friday sale .
Is it typical for different artists to work on a single series? I’m reading scarlet witch(2016) and it seems the first three installments all have different art styles.
