This subreddit was created with the intention of being a place for people to voice any statement, question, or matter that has to do with or impact the greater MHC region. It also is the goal of this group to maintain a strict free speech policy which includes potentially offensive speech to any given individual. I'll add that because the speech is allowed doesn't mean that it is encouraged.
I would like to hear from the members of the group as to how/if this should be moderated going forward. I personally think that "personal ads" should be allowed as long as it pertains to our area. I guess the gray area is how detailed/graphic those post can be - NSFW.
DM me if you can do the job
looking to go to a few shows without having to make the journey up to roanoke. i don't have my hopes up, but figured i'd ask anyway.
Anyone heard when LJS will reopen? It looks like construction is complete. They have hung temporary promotion signage so it can't be too long.
I got a general admission ticket that shows my seat as GA number 7547 but I can't tell on any maps where this seat is. It is section GA, row GA seat 7547. Does anyone know where this is?
I'm in Martinsville and looking to have my full size truck professionally detailed inside and out, but not had much luck in the past finding anyone local. Cost is not the top priority - quality of work and attention to detail absolutely is. Have any recommendations? If so, please share them. Thank you.
With a weekend full of racing, drivers should expect an increased volume of traffic in the vicinity of Martinsville Speedway on Friday, November 1, Saturday, November 2 and Sunday, November 3.
For the race being held on Sunday, November 3, the Virginia Department of Transportation encourages race fans driving to and from Martinsville Speedway to follow the recommended traffic patterns listed below and as posted on signs and message boards.
VDOT will place many signs and changeable message boards throughout the region to assist travelers. Vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be heavy. Traffic is being routed to the speedway in certain patterns to minimize overall congestion as much as possible. Watch for the speed limit to reduce gradually from 65 mph to 35 mph on the Route 220/Route 58 Bypass as you approach the speedway.
Those attending the race should closely follow directional information and plan to arrive early and expect heavy traffic and delays throughout the area.
