Art of the ocean -fish, ships, and everything else.
Try to post high quality images. png files are great but not necessary.

I've just joined Reddit and this is the first sub-Reddit I've joined, and this is my very first post (my recent painting of two whaling ships off Kapiti Island, New Zealand). I'm intrigued to see how Reddit works for my marine painting hobby ...
From when I was a little boy this cloth print has been hanging in my home, with the years it has become torn. I was drawn to it as a boy because of the sailing ships. The one burning, the one being built and a fleet in the bay (not very visible). The name of the artist is not visible, nor on the back. Does anyone recognise it?
Anyone know what value this has? Personally it’s priceless but if it’s worth an actual significant sum I’d like to insure it
From what I understand, this is by Montague Dawson, but I don't know the title...anyone help?
A friend has put up a website (castingcolorsart.com) for their art recently (and a facebook) -- but really digging their newest sort of series called Steady Waters. It's a different take, but hope people enjoy it!
