Been to the record fair this morning

Grabbed a couple of bargains and a couple to fill in some gaps, very happy with getting this little lot for £55

I stopped with Fish

I tried to get into Marillion post Fish but couldn't. I've listened to different albums but it just doesn't work for me. I loved the Fish era albums. It was that time of my life I guess. AITA or is this common in Marillion fandom.

‘Sunset hill’

So I actually new to this group, but I’ve known Marillion since I first saw them in late 1983.

I just wanted to say, I never listened to the demos for the album Clutching at straws very closely. However, when I listen to this song, ‘Sunset Hill’ today, it made me wonder why Fish didn’t get a writing credit considering Steve seems to completely copy the melody of Fish’s lyric in the finished song, ‘King of Sunset town’. Or is just me?

(Sorry for obvious spelling error-edit)

The 'Live in Utrecht' video from the TSE box set

Does anyone know about the quality of the Utrecht video in the new box set? I'm 50/50 on whether I need another version of TSE as I've already got a UK and a Japanese release on the shelf, and whilst a concert from Grand Rapids does sound good, it's not like I desperately NEED another Marillion live recording to add to the dozens I've already got.

It turns out I've been obsessed with this song for 40 years

I can honestly say that hearing this on the awesome Friday Rock Show changed my life. Definitely my favourite marillion song, possibly my fave of all time, everything about it is perfect, but it's that first couple of minutes as everything builds up, then that God like riff kicks in and all he'll breaks loose in my brain, and the lyrics, OH MY, the lyrics, just the right side of pretentious and Fish sounds tip top.

Anoraknophobia Pre-Order Contributor Booklet

Hi everyone,

I don't know if anyone will actually read this or where would be the best place to ask this question but: Does anyone have a preorder CD copy of Anoraknophobia?

For the Anoraknophobia album, Marillion included the names of the first 7,000 people who pre-ordered the album (and gave a contribution to help the album get made) in a booklet included with the CD copy of the album.

My father was one of those 7,000 but we moved countries a good 14 years ago and sadly that CD was not something he kept in mind to bring all those years ago.

I've scouted all of eBay, asking practically all sellers selling any CD copy of the album if they could send me pictures of their booklet to buy it.

I know I'll probably be unsuccessful in owning a copy since there are only 7,000 in the world but if someone HAS a copy, I would love to at least see a picture of the booklet and hopefully see my dad's name on it.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: Someone was awesome enough to let me buy their pre-order copy. I doubt there are many people that care but I will scan the booklet with the 7,000 names so no one's name goes forgotten in this important piece of Marillion's history. Thank you all for the kind help!

Fish tour setlist?

Hi fans,

On October 6th I'll take my wife to see Fish in The Netherlands.

I'd like to introduce her to some music that he will probably play during the concert. Does anyone know - or have any idea - as to which songs Fish will play, so I can create a playlist.

Cheers!
