We're well aware that there have been some monumental changes happening in the fanbase as of late, but there's still reason to be excited. Why, you ask? The Marble League Showdown begins tomorrow!

To celebrate, we've decorated the subreddit in honor of the most well-known team in the Marble League, the Shining Swarm! We asked all of the other teams if they wanted to be featured, but nobody responded to our messages on MarbSpace, so here we are.

In all seriousness though, we figured it would be nice to have a little fun and a last hurrah of sorts before we lock up the subreddit for good. It's been a great run, and we hope that you join us over at r/JellesMarbleRuns for more rising, shining, and more marbles, overall.

I guess this isn't in any seriousness, then. Oh well.

We have a summer and winter Marblelympics, and the sand races in between, but I think we should have more variations. How about a Junior Marblelympics using tinier marbles on the same courses, or a Special Marblelympics, where the "injured" marbles can come back for some glory. We could even have a Loser Marblelympics, where the worst teams compete amongst eachother without getting dominated, like the Commonwealth Games.

With the sub closing up and shifting to the new one let's give our boys the O'rangers one last cheer!

as many of you may already know, JMR has decided to rename the MarbleLympics in order to avoid serious problems with the Olympics brand. The new name of the series will be Marble League and the change will already be notable in this year's Showdown: It will have signs of both the old and the new name, kind of as a farewell. It's certainly not an easy decision, and we knew that this day will come - sooner or later. However, changing the name on our own now, even if it might be a big hit to us, rather than being forced to do so later, seems like the better option to us. We appreciate your support so much and it means the world to us, especially in difficult times like now - You just can't imagine how encouraging that is for Jelle and Dion.

But there are some good news too: Jelle already finished recordings of the Marble League Showdown and hopes to publish the first next week, if everything goes well!

Now, this is the most important part for you: We decided to use the name change to move to the new subreddit /r/JellesMarbleRuns. On this brand new, carefully crafted and lovely decorated subreddit we hope to give our community a place to flourish in the future - For one, because we want to avoid actively linking the old name of our front-runner series in every video description and additionally to that, we decided to fit a bunch of new things into the new subreddit. Most notably: New User flairs using the new logos, available on old.reddit, new.reddit (redesign) and mobile reddit, and a general design overhaul of the last two platforms.

There's a post waiting for you on the new Subreddit with some additional details, so please, feel free to join us there, make yourself comfortable and let's get hyped up for the 2019 Marble League Showdown! Make sure to choose one of those fancy new flairs and show support for your favourite team on the future hub for JMR's community. All the hoodies and shirts are sold out and I was wondering if there was any word on when that would be restocked?

Ok so a few of you might have seen my fan made winter and summer MarbleLympics and I thought, to fill the offseason, I’m gonna do a Fall MarbleLympics! There will be 20 teams, 18 of which are my own and two official MarbleLympics teams. I tried to have as little official MarbleLympics teams as I could so all the teams would be new and people who already rooted for that team would have to root for another team. The only teams I kept were the Quicksilvers (because they have no fans) and the Oceanics (because I really wanted to use the hashtag LagoonPride). Here are the 20 teams you can root for and yes there will be qualifiers where four teams will be eliminated. I will start having events every weekend starting the weekend after the Showdown ends. After each events I will post the updated scores (using the usual MarbleLympics score system). With that out of the way, here are the 20 teams you can root for:

Jelle announced he's changing the name to avoid copyright issues, or maybe I dreamed that. Regardless, does anyone have any good naming ideas? 'Marble Games' just sounds very bland. Any racing names seem to typecast it as all racing events when it isn't. Same with calling it 'Jelle's Marble Runs'. So, what ideas for unique but not stupid ideas do we have.
