/r/Mandela_Effect
The Mandela Effect is a phenomenon in which the minority of the public will retain memories of past events that have been altered from the majority and the majority will have no memory or history of the alteration despite evidence in the form of video, print, merchandise (etc) existing that support the minority's claim.
The name of the effect refers to people remembering Nelson Mandela tragic death in prison in the 1980s, when he actually survived long after his release.

I remember, back in the 90s, it used to be that if you moved your arm around too much in the arm band of a blood pressure machine, it would cause it to squeeze harder and vibrate and make a sound that resembled a blow dryer, but now it appears that has never been a feature. I just assumed they removed that when they started to upgrade them years later.
This perfume has always been a big part of my life. My dad used to gift it to my mom when he would be awful the day/night prior lol (ouch) Anywho, over time it got more frequent and he got more and more for her. Basically for years and years we used this perfume. We stopped using it when he died, when we realized how traumatizing the smell was to us. TLDR I am sure it was White Diamond. How I would even notice how blatant the S is beyond me. I've always been a dissociative person and the details of my life are blurry. But I suppose the habit of always seeing that bottle and using it stamped it in my head. Am I losing my shit? Lol
It now lists October 18, 1995. I remember, VERY VERY clearly that it was listed as some time in November of 1995.
Does anyone recall hearing the news that xxxtentacion had actually survived his assailants’ attack?
I remember it so vividly…probably because it was a shared experience with my son and it involved music. First, we heard that ‘X’ had been shot in a likely robbery etc. etc. and we both looked at eachother in surprise, like, “You listen to this guy, too?!” and “Damn, this really sucks.” So the day went on and later in the afternoon, I remember hearing on whatever program we were listening to that he’d survived his injuries. However, the reality I’m in currently is the one where he is dead…and there seems to be no trace of the survival version of the story anywhere online. I know he had a really devoted and loyal fan base, and they seem to know his life’s details at a level of depth far beyond what I’ve got…so I’m hopeful that somebody else can co-sign me here…that at one point, they really said he lived. Anyone???
Every time I look up videos of the demo, it looks like this.
The differences in this particular demo now is that the music plays on the menu screen, there is a different sound effect for when you select 1 or 2 players, there is more of your character's portrait exposed, and you are unable to select which rider you want to use, rather it just holds on The Max for a moment before going into the level. And finally, the level available is called "Volcano".
I had this demo disc growing up (it came with the PS1 we had), and in my memory, the menu screen did not play any music, the select screen looked close, or identical to, the final version, including revealing the same amount of the portrait as the final game does (a closeup of said rider's face), you could select between two riders, The Max and Vampeera. And finally the level was called Meltdown just like in the final game.
Does anyone else remember this?
I have seen both home alone movies more times than I can count as a kid. As an adult iv watched it more time then I can count with my son, every year around this time we watch them. I even have specific memories for the advertisements of these movies. There is an iconic scene en where the mother and father, played by Kathrine o hare and John heard, wake up after the power being knocked out shout to each other. I have a very distinct memory of them always saying “we’re late!” But they infact said “we slept in!” And when we were watching it last night, at that scene, even my son said “what that’s not what they to say” so I’m curious how do other people remember this iconic small scene
This was NOT in the original time line.
I remember seeing Ray go through the forms he has to fill out and saying "Why is there so much?" in his usual whiny Raymond voice. I saw it again, and he just goes "What the hell?" and then tells him mom "I don't know why there's so much.", and it's not in his whiny voice.
People used to kiss with their eyes open. Closing them was seen as rude. I remember that I swear. But now it's changed. Everyone closes their eyes and it's freaking me out. What's going on???
(SOLVED)
The only information I can find on such a person is a Colombian diver. But I have this distinct memory of a wrestler with that name. I have found evidence of wrestlers with that last name, but I can never find any evidence of a Victor. Does anyone else remember such a person? I don't remember much about him, or even what he looked like. I just remember his name, and I feel like I played a wrestling game with that name in it (I believe it was Legends)
I used to play a lot of black ops 2 back in the day. I never remember this red info sign on the platform. I remember it as being absolutely flat
I remember the lyrics "They control you and they make you play" being said twice in the song, at the beginning and at the end. Now it's only said once, and "Tie you up and you can't get away." is sung two times. It used to be the other way around.
I swear I remember there actually being a scene in there of Brick reading about the story on his microfiche involving her mom being arrested for indecent exposure. My memory has it that Frankie was narrating it, explaining what he was doing, and the camera shows a closeup of his shocked face. I almost feel like the camera may have been slowly zooming in on his face while this happened. Yeah, he does mention reading it, but I seem to remember it actually showing him read it. I also feel almost as if it may have actually shown the newspaper, but I am not as sure on that one as I am the closeup of his face.
If everyone recalls, right before Mandela returned to this world around 2013, all new MEs stopped. I think they even had to shut down CERN because it uses up so much power that is needed the Mandela “portal” to open.
I believe that Mandela will be back soon because there hasn’t been a new ME for years. Mandela is plotting his return later this year.
Song Ebony and Ivory
Hello, does anyone remember the song ebony and ivory by Paul McCartney? I remember Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson recorded that song. Last night, I heard a version of Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder on the song. Now, it could be that they also recorded the song. But that was the first time i've ever heard of stevie wonder being on that song. I don't know if this is a Mandela effect.
I have always called my exercise routine Callistetics, but apparently it's Callisthenics. Some of my friends agree with me, but google says otherwise. Which is it!
In the MCU, From the first Iron man To Iron Man 3, Tony Stark Used to have a German Shepherd named Scout, It dies in Iron man 3 when the house is attacked, I remember when Obadiah Stane brought pizza to Tony Stark in the first Iron man, Tony teased Scout with the pizza making him jump up and down, it's weird that he wasn't in the movies at all, do i remember this wrong or does anyone else remember this too?
We can't find it ANYWHERE and she thinks it's some Mandela bullshit.
Pearl JAm Vitology or Vitalogy, what do you remember? 1994 album from Pearl Jam
As far as I remember all root beers don’t have caffeine. Only just a few days ago I learned about this because of the weird food history channel on YouTube.
Then I used to cringe hearing people say Supposably, like I would if they said PROLLY instead of probably. Then I learned supposably is a word! 🤔 now google is saying prolly is a word in Oxford English dictionary as a 1920s informal variation of probably.
In the episode Homer finds a crashed suger truck and he starts selling sugar. He puts the sugar into the family's dinner, and says he plans to sell it. I remember Marge saying, we'll the Sugar at the store doesn't have broken glass and nails in it. Apparently Lisa said this line, I don't even remember her being in that scene.
This was a brief blip that my Auntie and I experienced on 9-11 (we're Aussies tho so it's actually 11-9 but hey). We were watching the footage just like everyone else and they were broadcasting American channels that day. There was a news clip that claimed the Shanksville plane had been shot down by the military. It was never mentioned again. And it seems like most people watching didn't see it except for a very very small amount of outliers I've met over the years.
I'm a hardcore tinfoil and 100% the entirety of Shanksville was staged. I believe the military story was something that was planned to incorporate into the narrative bit in this version of reality they ditched the idea.
To this day my Auntie believes that they really did just try to cover it up and doesn't know she's an outlier too.
How bout it guys who remembers this one? Just about everyone was watching and this claim was very memorable to me and my Auntie cause we were talking all morning about how it's funny that only mentioned it once and never again
