Hi all, last week went through a really difficult breakup and am trying to adapt to life without my ex. She was also my literal only friend in the country so I'm looking to meet new friends for meeting up or even just chatting online. I am a big lover of reading, gym and going to gigs. Over the last year or so I've been to the likes of Mötley Crüe, black veil brides, tenacious d and many more I've got a pretty varied music taste.
I enjoy things like going to the cinema, random road trips, hikes. I'm honestly up for trying new things at any time I'm not at college. So far this year I've tried out paragliding and archery too.
Also enjoy a bit of gaming when time allows, mainly played the likes of destiny 2.
Hope to meet some interesting and cool people here. Thanks for reading my Ted talk ☺️
long story short - in need of friends.
My ex broke up with me, out of the blue, on a random Tuesday, almost two weeks ago. I extra moved closer to his place so we can figure out our life together but I guess that’s not a thing anymore. ANYWAY. While he’s back on the dating plattforms, I’m looking for new friends. Im super easy going, love traveling, never mind a gaming session, super into sports, obviously going through a breakup but there’s loads to talk about.
Thanks. 🙋🏼♀️
I heard this is a good place to make new friends so here goes.
Apart from all the above I enjoy reading books, baking, seeing new places, and bad jokes. Would love to meet men or women who's into similar
Living here 5 years now moved from limerick but making friends is still so hard even through work... I'm into bored games, nights out, cinema etc just a laid back blondie
I'm in Tus in college first year and from my course there dosent seem to be anyone who wants to make friends everyone is just in there cliques.
I'm a very practical and tech minded person doing everything from fixing cars to computers.
Hoping to expand my social circle.
Hey I'm trying again to make more friends on this subreddit because I've already met some really cool people on here. I don't mind if we can't meet in person but I would love to meet some like-minded, coffee addicted, and music loving people. I've a sarcastic humour to me but can also be serious when the situation calls for it.
As for gigs -at this stage I'd go to anything! If ye want to head to the Siege in Limerick or some pop artist I've never heard of I'll go lol. If you want to share your favourite band or what gets you through the day, feel free to DM me :)
I’m 23 y/o fe, was wondering If i could get in a group or find friends to hang to have fun smoke or drink with while i’m there. I have my niece there but I guess she’ll hang around with her friends and definitely not me. So, Anyone who want to be my friend??
What's up, don't really know how to go about this lol but I'm looking for friends around the Dublin/Meath area. Moved up here a couple of years ago from Offaly and haven't really made any friends since. Interested in football, music, and gaming but don't really have the chance to play my PS4 recently. 420 friendly👌 feel free to DM
Hi folks
On account of various life goings on, my social circle has gotten smaller. So I'm looking to connect with people into maybe the same things but again, more interested in connecting and getting to connect on a decent friendly level. I'm into rock, indie and some pop music, movies, podcasts, and having a bit of a laugh (I know that sounds a bit generic, but I do actually believe that you really connect with people once you have a bit of a good vibe going on). For what it's worth, I'm not big into football or sports teams but providing the vibes are good that shouldn't matter (also I went to the local recently and watched a Celtic game for the hell of it, so I'm not anti-footie or that).
I'm male, in my early 40's and in the south Kildare area, and close to Laois, and Carlow, and could meet in nearby counties if it suits. Also, I'm open to connect online for a bit and see how that goes. Happy to chat to whoever you may be and meeting new friends.
Howdy from a limerick born lad who has had a bit of trouble finding new friends in limerick. I miss hanging out with folks in person, after 2020 and uni, everyone scattered throughout the country or lost contact.
If you've any interest in talking with and maybe actually hanging out in person sometime, send me a message.
I've plenty of interests from boardgames to tabletop rpgs to video games to animals> So if you like a friend often described as "a labrador in a human suit" and is full of random fun facts (mainly about animals) then look no further :)
Normal 26 year old irish gay lad looking for friends to chat and go for drinks with 🤷🏼♂️
Hi 22 F here, I'm looking to make some friends who also enjoy romance books. Would love to meet up irl. Just wondering if anyone in the group is from Kilkenny/Waterford/ Tipperary areas
Hello!
I'm noticing a trend of people around 30 feeling lonely and it can be really difficult to make friends at this age. With moving back home after college and friends being spread all over the country, so many people are moving abroad, and others are so busy with havings kids, many of us don't have the social circle we used to have.
I thought it would be nice to organise something, maybe once month, like cinema trip, walk and coffee, go karting, bowling, dinner etc. I'm not too fussed about the activities we can see what anyone interested in joing would like to do.
I'm 31F and based in County Wexford but it can be all over the South East. I was generally thinking people aged 25-40 so in similar stages of life but anyone is welcome really! Was hoping we might have a group of 10-20 people so even if everyone didn't come to everyone activity we would still have a group!
Anyone interested?
Hey guys, I’m rostam, 26 years old and moved to Dundalk for work. But I will to dublin soon. It’s hard to get connected with someone, so that’s why I’m here. If you in my near just text me. We can go out for some drinks or watching some sports.
Anyone know of any Irish travel groups? Have seen groups like WeRoad, Contiki and Intro Travel but wondering if there's any Irish based ones? A lot of people have gone abroad and can be hard to meet new people
29 female Looking to make friends who want to hang out, go for walks, gym and whatever we both in common.
Hey! Happy Tuesday everyone 😊
I hope you’re having a good start to your week,
I’m sick and tired of starting to talk to someone and within a day or two they just drop off and don’t respond ever again. Or when they start trying to convince you to chat on OF 🥲😅
There’s so many bots and sellers and it’s just infuriating to try find new friends.
So here I am trying to reach out to find some new people, from near or far to chat and get to know eachother
About me!
I’m 25 I’m from Dublin Ireland 🇮🇪
I love Travelling I love Videogames I love Grabbing a coffee or a drink and a bite to eat I love just chatting about anything!
Drop me a message & let’s be friends, travel buddies, gaming buddies!
Looking forward to your message 😊
Hey everyone, I just finished Attack on Titan and I really need to talk about it with someone who understands me! I feel so lost and depressed because I thought Eren was a bad guy who hated his friends, but it turns out he was actually a good guy who cared a lot about Mikasa and his friends. It made me cry even more. Now, I want to move on and watch another good anime, but nothing compares to AOT.
I live in Dundalk with my familu but have absolutely no friends here. It would be nice to have someone I can spend evenings/weekends with and visit their home vice versa. I would prefer friends in the age range of 22-30 in Dundalk to be specific. I wouldn't mind other areas too but I do not drive so I do not want be a burden on anyone for lifts, etc.
I hate this part where I talk about my interests and personality but here goes lol...I'm starting to get into running, I do some crafts at times, love reality TV, love to cook, wish I read more and I do like going on hikes too. Overall, I am down to do anything and looking to develop new hobbies.
I'm looking for a simple friendship, someone I can just chill with and call up to do anything even if that's good shopping, watching stupid shows or going on walks/drinks. I've never really had that lol, so here's to name trying!
I find that its difficult to form friendships here with other women lol but if you're a guy and not creepy with silly intentions, I would love that to get to know you.
23 m bored af just looking for new people to chat too
Well, I’m posting here again as I’ve managed to make some amazing international friends - but nothing beats meeting people in the same time zone 😂 With that said, I’m a graphic designer by day and cafe/coffee lover by, well all the time…
I love a serious chat but also love to talk absolutely none sense. Send me a DM if any of that sounds appealing 😊
Hey, I'm looking for some people, to get to know them, expand my perspective, and make connections.
I'm free today, or at the next weekend so hit me up if you are interested.
I enjoy sports, new things, food (I cook), music, arts, and getting to know things.
Hi everyone is there a place we could all meet tonight and chat maybe a pub or somewhere. If interested DM me for my WhatsApp number
How does process of making friends in Ireland work? I'm been going to some bookclubs and running groups but they're only on approx once a month so haven't made any friends there. I'd like to find out what's the next stage after seeing someone 2/3 times. Do you ask for a telephone number and then arrange to meet them for a drink, like a date? Just trying to work out making friends as an adult. I'd like to have a group to meet for a drink or meal on Friday night. I'm in my thirties.
Hi there, 21 year old guy from India exploring reddit being somewhat reserved for most of the life is breaking ice and exploring the new ventures. I will be glad to talk anything good and constructive but more into food, tech, anime, cars or anything great. Dm me let's connect on insta, linkedin.
I’m at a bit of a crossroads and really need some advice. I’m planning to pursue a Masters in Data Analytics in Dublin, but I’m torn between choosing a college or a university. I know this might sound like a basic question, but I’m genuinely struggling to figure out what’s best. I’ve heard mixed opinions—some say universities are the way to go because recruiters tend to prefer graduates from universities over colleges. On the other hand, I’ve also been told that the quality of education and the skills you gain matter more than the institution’s name. With that in mind, does it really make a difference if I choose a well-regarded college over a university?
I’m also curious about the overall job market in Ireland for Data Analytics. Is there something I should be particularly aware of before making my decision? Any insights or personal experiences you could share would be really appreciated.
I know it’s a big decision, and I’m feeling a bit lost, so any guidance would mean the world to me right now. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!
