Bill Maher and the “New Islam”

I gotta admit…this might be the funniest thing Maher has said in years.

My favorite guests on Bill Maher are Republicans, and I am a Democrat

The country is so divided with politics, but seeing Bill’s bedside manner with opposing Political views, he makes us remember how human we are.

His apology to Peggy Noonan was a very cool thing to do.

Chasm? Or Chasm?

Am I hallucinating or did Bill just pronounce Chasm with a CH as in Chandler instead of as a K in Kardashian? 😂

There have been some pretty odd and interesting guests this past year on Club Random.

There have been some pretty odd and interesting guests this past year on Club Random; Does anyone know when Roman Polanksi, Kyle Rittenhouse, or even Michael Richards will show up as a guest on Club Random?

Why don't you guys stop complaining about Bill and go watch John Oliver?

I've never watched John Oliver, but isn't he the sort of standard smug left winger you people would prefer being in an echo chamber with? Leave Bill for us real centrists.

He’s absolutely fucking insufferable

I’ve found him obnoxious for like a decade plus at this point but I’m watching podcast cringe’s video about the club random with Matt Gaetz and it’s just so bad.

His takes are terrible. His demeanor is douche personified. He clearly thinks he’s super cool smoking a joint (I’m 45 and smoke daily and have for over 30 years but it’s not cool. You’re not fucking cool.) Jesus he just makes my skin crawl. Sorry I had to vent and this seemed like as good a place as any.

I need more of this Bill Maher!

I am getting so tired of saying this. It feels unironically like height of the Social Justice Warriors/Woke Scold Era in college where you needed to caveat a statement with trigger warnings and how I respect all groups before saying a point.

The left is not perfect and has gone too far but sometimes it feels like we let Republicans get one over us with the "both sides" narrative. I like that Bill nipped it in bud immediately and I want to see more of that.

This last episode was one of the funniest i've seen in a while. Stephen A Smith was hilarious, Maher torched Gen Z. I understand why reddit hates it. Go watch it.

That is all

Why Does Bill Still Defend Elon Musk?

Yes it made sense to have some oddball admiration for Elon when he was just seen as the Tesla/Space X guy. And just like Henry Ford, he can be a successful business entrepreneur AND a bigoted nightmare at the same time. But the last few months/years has seen Elon go all in on far-right beliefs buying Twitter, using it to tip the election in Trump's favor, openly supporting right-wing nutcases around the globe, and embracing way too many conspiracy theories for his own good. Oh, and he did a Nazi salute at the inauguration.

I still think one of Bill's lowest points was his wiffleball interview with Elon in 2023 - it came across less like a conversation and more like a suck-up moment. But you could still live in plausible deniability of where he was going back then. Now, however, that excuse no longer works but Bill still acts like the Left is running a smear campaign to hurt Elon's image when he's doing that perfectly well by himself. The irony, of course, is that Bill warned for years about how social media rots kids' brains. Well Elon Musk expertly proved that point by doing it to himself, yet Bill can't see it (or refuses to) because of the old anti-woke/free speech one-two smokescreen right-wingers pull to justify their bigotry. He literally got too high on his social media supply.
