Hi,
I wonder if there's a module which can limit app access storage. Something like storage scopes function in grapheseos, where I can limit app to access some directories without app complaining.
Anyone tried this before:
why? i use los recovery, which seem only support adb sideload, which mean need other device. But i can use los local update to "flash". idk, sometimes i need to do in place update (flash the same rom version, without update) to make it run smooth again
I'm afraid of bootloop. because maybe there is a check to rom signature when update/flash
Today I've rooted my device and then I added "play integrity fix" and "magiskFrida" models to magisk when I rebooted my device the magiskFrida work successfully but the server of it is causing crash problems When I open settings it's open successfully for a minute or half a minute then crash (kick me out the app) the same problem happen to all apps When I disable "magiskFrida" everything go fine I tried to install older version
Sorry for my English mistakes it's not my main language
Good day.
I've been trying to install Health Connect in order to get Samsung Health working on my custom ROM. I've been unable to do it, because it shows a message saying
"Encrypt your device
"Health Connect requires you to encrypt your device to ensure your data is stored securely."
I've managed to install Displax fake encryption and it doesn't work.
Here are all of the details I could get:
A brief response would be appreciated.
Cheers
Peter
How do I download and install magisk modules that don't have any releases on GitHub like https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-Repo/twrp-keep
I patched my boot.img (and it 100% was the correct image) via APatch. I flashed it via "fastboot boot flash <patched boot image>
My phone is stuck in fastboot. I cannot enter recovery NOR rescue mode! I tried flashing the clean boot image. I tried the flash-all.bat I went to Google's website and flashed my factory image via the Web tool. It looks as if it's working but when it's done fastboot simply reboots to fastboot
Im using a pixel 6, stock rom, magisk, osm0sis's PIF, shamiko and im only passing the Basic verdict.
Everyone speaks about needing to "grab a print" from the latest android beta or whatever. That is a fingerprint. Osm0sis explained here https://xdaforums.com/t/pif-faq.4653307/ that: A fingerprint is an Android system/build property made up of information about your ROM, and is used to identify that specific build/compile of the ROM.
So if on a stock rom, why would i need to get a new fingerprint at all? Cant I just use the module as is without downloading any fingerprints, hoping that google doesnt disable them or whatever.
Then people say that you should use TrickyStore. For what reason?
Reading its github: This module is used for modifying the certificate chain generated for android key attestation.
But Device verdict doesnt use key attestation, right? Only the Strong verdict does, so why would this be needed for passing the Device verdict? What is TrickyStore's use if you dont have your keybox.xml in the first place?
Suggest me a module with the best values so the speaker doesn't break.
Edit: i also used tips from this comment specially the fir equalizer and viper clarity.
hello,
people send me to magisk for adding this capability to my rooted phone with lineageOS. I have some questions if I may:
and sorry if the questions are dumb i never modified my phone until this week :/
thanks in advance!
I have redmi note 13 pro 4g i want to root to how i root it do i need bootloader unlocked or incan without unlock bootloader and how i unlock bootloader without waiting 168 hours mtk helio g99
I have redmi note 13 pro 4g i want to root to how i root it do i need bootloader unlocked or incan without unlock bootloader and how i unlock bootloader without waiting 168 hours mtk helio g99
I have a Infinix Smart 9 and i got my bootloader unlocked and i also installed a GSI (CRdroid 10.11)
I already saw the installation guide
I heard that rooting infinix might trigger the anti crack system
can i still recover from that? (for those who already have an experience of rooting an infinix phone)
and i also want to ask if the guide for installation is all the same for mine or do i need to change some commands or steps
I have seen a video in which the user flashed the twrp installer zip from magisk module installer and then again flashed magisk zip. This installed twrp recovery and kept root.

Resume the video from 12:50
How can i hide these properly
Yesterday I passed device integrity. Today, I updated integrity wizard to the latest version and now I'm failing even basic integrity. I tried going back to the previous version to no avail. I also tried disabling integrity wizard and using PIF and playcurl, still can't pass basic integrity. What's going on?
Hello, I think my Google Pixel 9 Pro XL is no longer receiving OTA updates (still no January 2025 security update). Has Google changed its update policy (banning root user) ? I’ve always updated my phone via OTA and used Magisk’s “Install in inactive slot (after OTA)” method, but now it’s not working anymore. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Edit: I fixed the issue using the PixelUpdater app
in case my custom ROM maintainer cannot give me a signed ROM, what can I do?
Does having a signed ROM matter when using Magisk root method??
Are there any ways Magisk can help or mitigate this?
Finally got my phone to pass Play Integrity using PIF, plus Playcurl/ AutoPIF Next for fingerprint updates, but RCS still won't connect. Play Store says device is certified. Using custom ROM, but it's not blacklisted. Also have Tricky Store module installed. 🙏 in advance!
Woke up today, and couldn't access my apps. Went to my Play Integrity Checker app and it says I no longer have device integrity. Where do I go from here?
Anybody knows how to fix shizuku that's stuck on "searching for pairing service" Or is it on shizuku's end that's the problem.
Hey y'all.
Does anyone here sport an Android 14 or newer device, and uses an app by app based root firewall (none of those vpn based junks)?
I've used AFWall, but sadly, ever since upgrading to Android 14 based LineageOS, AFWall pretty much stopped working, or rather, it now cuts off my whole internet access, even in the latest version (and no, it's not me firewalling system apps, I tried going with just a couple games and... Same results)
Last time I posted here, I got an amazing answer of just what I was looking for, so I'm trying again. Safe of manually running iptables as root, do y'all have any other ways of firewalling apps you don't want taking to the internet?
Ever since the last update by Epic i can't log into the app, every time i click the "log in" button it tells me there was a problem and to try again later. I have it on my denylist and have the following Magisk modules
Any help? Thanks
I'm making a simple theming magisk module to make it easier for me to install overlays, add fonts/ringtones etc. I understand all the system directory stuff but am struggling with the bottom section. I will need to remove some things (right now the system ringtones/notifications/alarms), but I can't figure out how to do this. It seems like a command but I am not sure which file to put it in.
(Now that I typed this I realized I can just use .replace to swap my own ringtone folder, but in case I just need to remove files in the future how would I go about it?)
I have used Solid Explorer "back in the days" to copy my own Lock.ogg and Unlock.ogg to /system/media/audio/ui. This doesn't work anymore because "not enough space".
Now is there a systemless way to change it?
Before I do it, I just wanna know if some of you guys have tested and got it to work. Thanks in Advance!
