I played this card game religiously as a kid and it was always more fun than yugioh or pokemon because my dad was the one behind it. Haven’t played in years but recently connected with my dad about it years and years after he sold the company
Hey everyone, I recently remembered this game that we used to play in elementary school, and after a bit of searching around, it turned out to be Magi-Nation: Battle for the Moonlands. I found the original site to be down and no community run versions or revival projects. Is there such a thing? Is it even worth it to contact the rightholders (I understand then to be WildBrain) to release the source code for the game and maybe try to run it myself? If nothing else, is there a similar game to be found somewhere?
Thank you in advance
Hi! I just saw the Kickstarter for the new expansion and am planning my pledge now. Do you know, if I pledge for the 13 starter decks and get one of each region, will I get a complete set of all the available cards (not counting promos)? Thanks!
Hi guys I just started to play with Sands of D'resh creatures, how ever I'm struggling to find the benefit of the illusion cards coming in with essentially half their printed energy, is there a payoff card that maybe I haven't seen? Or what's the game plan for those creatures?
Can someone tell me where to find it? I need it for one of the Hyrens!
What else is in store for Magi-Nation? Can we hope for a full-on revival? Personally, I'd love to see an app, so I can play it. For now, I'm satisfied with the GBC/GBA game.
Hey everyone.
I came across this card in my collection, and I just wanted to share because Magi Nation is nothing but great memories for me. I miss this game.
A couple of buddies of mine and I road tripped it up to Milwaukee from Arizona for the first MND world championships at Gen Con. It was an amazing experience, we got to hang out with and meet a few members of the 2i team and I got this card signed by Phillip Tavel.
I remember being extra salty about the tournament because their matchmaking software went down during the second or third round, so they paired opponents based on the order they signed up in. Naturally my buddies and I were in line to register together so I ended up playing a guy that I played with all the time back home.
Anyway. I keep this on my desk because it makes me happy, and there’s literally nobody else in my life that would get why. So I thought I’d share here with people who might appreciate it.
I am now being redirected to "/lander" although no content seems to be there. Hope this isn't the end:
Would someone please explain to me what it means when a creature, spell or relic (example:Underneaths Urhail) has the caption ‘STARTING’ on them?
In the animated series there was this monster that was basically a small creature riding a big one and the small one was very smart while the big one was very strong. Does anyone know the name of it? I think it was dark type or whatever you call it
I’m having trouble understanding exactly what the ability ‘Reflexes’ does for Lascinth. Would someone mind elaborating on how it works?
Got confirmation for my pledge charge today, but not for the amount that includes add-ons, just basic pledge. Is this normal?
If I say, play Glade Hyren and reduce its cost by discarding a card and counting my Naroom creatures does it still come into play with 7 energy or does its starting energy get reduces according to the cost reduction?
I'm gonna make some beginner friendly decks, one for each region, in TTS to get some friends into it and I was wondering if anybody had some good, simple single region decks that a beginner can easily enjoy and understand that I can copy. Bonus points if the deck really highlights a regions lore flavor.
A little update:
The regions my friends have selected are as follows
*Kybar's Teeth x2
*Core
*Underneath
*Naroom x2
*Bograth
*Nar
My copy is missing the last few pages. Anyone else in here ever get their hands on this while playing the gameboy game?
Was the Tony Jones promo ever released in a foil version?
Sorry don’t know anything about these
Found these in a storage unit, just trying to see what they are and get info
Yum Yummy yum!
Anyway, just remembered about this card game and see I missed the kickstarter -_-
Hello everyone,
Pretty excited to eventually give this game a try, looks like some really good and casual fun. I backed the Kickstarter for 2 decks, my friend chose Universal and I chose Core.
I wanted to ask, has anyone tried the starter decks from Arcanist Armory?
If so how are they?
I just bought 3 (Naroom, Cald, D'Resh) to try out for a bit of fun.
Cheers :)
Anyone else finding that some booster packs have cards that are the wrong direction or even upside down? Opened one tonight and it had 1 card upside down and backwards.
Hello! I found a small collection of MagiNation cards in my card collection. Anyone know if this is worth anything at all? There's about 140 total
Hello! With the success of the Kickstarter bringing me and others back, I was wondering about the ideal way to build a deck. It’s been so long since I’ve played that I’m pretty rusty and don’t really have a feel for where to begin. Is there an ideal ratio of spells/creatures/artifacts?
My primary region is Arderial, with D’Resh as secondary.
